Thanks, Shannon - CONGRATULATIONS! That is awesome. How old is your other child (boy/girl?)

I love Dr Yemini - our consult was with him the 1st time we went and he scared me a bit, but he is a big mush!!! Dr. Hade seems a little stand-offish, but if you tell him you really need to sit and talk with him, he is really great - I had to do that a couple times. Dr B, who I rarely ever see, is also WONDERFUL. He saw me crying one day and he took me aside and into his office and made me feel so much better. I think you really need to make a point of asking them to sit with you if you have questions, b/c they do this stuff all day long and sometimes they must get like robots about the whole thing.
Are you going Monday morning?

Elyse - January 24

Oh yeah, and you have to talk to Judy if you can't get a doc - do you know her?

lene - January 24

yeah...she is awesome...she did my 1st iui...and was cute.

Elyse - January 24

you going mon morning?

Shannon - January 24

Elyse-I have a son who just turned 1 last week.

Elyse - January 24

Lene, I'm sorry - maybe too personal - maybe you want to stay anonymous. I apologize - didn't mean to be pushy. Just strange that someone here goes to the same place. What a coincidence.

Elyse - January 24

Shannon - what a great age. Are u having any mrng sickness? Is it hard to be pg with a 1 yr old?

lene - January 24

Elyse, no problem. Yeah, i will be there on Monday. I was actually on the phone with someone to fix a problem i am having at the pizzeria...that's why no response. it is weird that we are going to the same place but i have no problem sharing my experiences...

Hi Girls...Wow a lot has been going on these past couple of days. It took me awhile to catch up with everyone posts. I have to absorb all this stuff in and keep notes of everyone. I wish I was able to converse with everyone more often, but I have been very busy at work. I am still spotting and this morning I was dry-heaving. I don't know why...but although the blood test said I am Neg. I don't think there would be any chance I am pregnant. I know Ann mentioned something about that. Ann I think you took another pregnancy test too right? Lene & Elyse...you guys are going to test on Fri? That's great!! I know Lene you asked me and I think Friday is ok, but if it's a neg. don't think that you are not pregnant. What days are you both piui? Elyse your blood test is on 1/30 right? I'm trying to keep up with everyone here. Elizabeth, I know your are starting IUI# 3. Like I mentioned before, my doctor said that usually after the 2nd or 3rd IUI you would get a positive result. Its by statistics. I hope after all that trying it will work. I am taking a break for a month or 2. I want to give my monitor a try. I should be getting it today, but I can't start using it till I get my actually AF. Anyways, I've read about your careers and commutes. Lene, you live in Orange County and take a long commute....I actually live in Westchester, but I'm lucky enough to work 10 minutes from my house. That's funny how we live close by. Ann & Elizabeth I'm sorry if you mentioned already, but I know you don't live in the States....where do you live? I don't want to make this a long post, but I know I had a lot to catch up on. I'm glad we started a new threat. Whew!!

Elyse, I agree that growing up bi or even tri-lingual would be great. I didn't start learning until I was an adult and it is so hard. My sister-in-law speaks 7 languages!! She is Australian and didn't grow up in the US. I don't understand some peoples' opinions that growing up bi-lingual holds kids back. I think it helps. My company also covers domestic partners (same or different sex). I am glad to see that happening more often. We have enough uninsured people here in the US. No, my dr has never given me a hard time about coming in on the weekend. My reg dr even volunteered to come in the one time I had the iui on a weekend (instead of my using the on-call dr). I just don't like working on the weekend, so I assume they don't either! LENE, I don't know how much private insurance costs, but I know it is really expensive (your estimate is probably close) and you don't get as good of coverage. Also, I think they can drop you if something gets too expensive, but they wouldn't do that for a group plan. I just went through the numbers in my head and there is NO way I will ever be staying home short of winning the lottery!! I grossed about 5x as much as my dh last year and netted about 10x, so that would be much worse than cut in half. Oh well, it is a nice dream...that is really cool that you have a pizzaria! I love to cook and make the Chicago-style pizza at home sometimes. What do you do for work?

Ann - January 24

Cristina, I do live in the states (Texas). Elizabeth lives in South Africa.

I have not had morning sickness. I sometimes (at least once a day) feel nausea. It used to be after I would eat and now it is just whenever. I usually just take Tums if it is too bad and it goes away. It is a little hard to be pg with a 1 year old, because I am more tired. I think the hardest part is that I work full-time, I am taking 4 classes to hurry up and finish my degree, I have a 1 year old and I am tired from be pg. Sometimes I feel like I don't see my son enough. I really try to make time for him and try to play with him on the nights I don't have homework to do.

Shannon - January 24

Sorry that last post was to be sent to Elyse not from Elyse. Sorry... :)

lene - January 24

Ann, i'm a systems engineer...

Ann - January 24

Lene--you already said what you do I think--sorry. I forget what people say, since everything is just written! Shannon, that is great that you are finishing your degree. It sounds like your life is super crazy now, but it will be worth it in the long run.
