Continued....from Life After IUI

Elizabeth - January 24

Hey everyone. Ann, once again we're in the same boat...I'm also waiting for af. It was supposed to start yesterday, but is still not here. I wish it would just come so that I can start with the next cyle! I'm so paranoid now, I'm thinking .. what if it doesn't start at all this month, and I have to wait yet another month? Ugh! Elyse and Lene, it's so nice that you girls have each other to go through the testing with. The time is close! Cristina, I'm going to try IUI#3 this cycle. As soon as af is here, I'll know the date. Maria, your big day is here! Good luck! Shannon, how are you doing?

Elizabeth- brilliant - thanks for starting a new thread. Wow - you kept track of everyone really well. Elizabeth, I really hope your af come soon - waiting for the next cycle is even worse thatn the 2ww - I think it's the worst wait in the whole cycle - especially if you are irregular. Ann, what I hope for you is that the test was wrong - fingers (and toes, arms, legs, etc.) crossed for you. Maria and Shannon, I don't know your stories - feel like a quick recap? If not (I know it is dreadful to go over it again), I'll find it on the other thread. Christina - how ya doin?

Ann, I've heard cases that af showed up even when the woman was pregnant. You have an appointment tomorrow, don't you? Why don't you ask the RE? I've seen that book too (What to Expect When You Are Expecting)! Every time I go to the dr, I read a little bit there but I'm not willing to buy one before I get pregnant (it would feel weird). It's good that you get along with your stepson. I have a cousin who is having big problems with her dh because of his two boys. So I guess you are blessed right there! Dh and I have been married for 2 years. I'm 27 and he's 33. We both work but I do all the house stuff (cleaning, grocery, laundry...). I don't complain b/c I really enjoy doing all of that! I love to take care of him... but now I would love to take care of our baby as well.

Ann, my point with "I've heard cases that af showed up even when the woman was pregnant" was that sometimes the unexpected can happen. You got a bfn but your af didn't show up. Who knows? Just to be on the safe side, ask the RE.

Thanks, Elyse. I try my best :-) How are you feeling today? I know you're probably counting the minutes until Friday, but apart from that, any symptoms? I received this very qute joke via e-mail today. And I just have to share it with you guys:
A six-year-old boy told his father he wanted to marry the little girl across the street. The father, being modern and well-schooled in handling children, hid his smile behind his hand. "That's a serious step," he said. "Have you thought it out completely?" "Yes," his young son answered. "We can spend one week in my room and the next in hers. It's right across the street, so I can run home if I get scared of the dark."
"How about transportation?" the father asked. "I have my wagon, and we both have our tricycles," the little boy answered. The boy had an answer to every question the father raised.
Finally, in exasperation, his dad asked, "What about babies? When you're married, you're liable to have babies, you know." "We've thought about that, too," the little boy replied. "We're not going to have babies. Every time she lays an egg, I'm going to step on it!"

Hi Nata!

Ann - January 24

Hi everyone. Elizabeth, I am glad you started a new thread. The old one was too long for it to load on my handheld internet! Good luck on your af starting soon. Do you feel like it is on the way? Maybe you and I will have the same or close iui date next month (assuming I will do another iui). Well, I took another test this morning, as I was worried after yesterday. It was BFN. My af is just late. I always expect it to be max 14dpo and today is 18dpo and it is still not here! I am early often but never late. The thing I am most irritated about is that now my O day will likely fall on the weekend, which is a hassle for the drs (although it is more convenient for me with work). Maybe it will hold out one more day and my iui will more likely fall on a Monday.

Maria - January 24

The big day has finally arrived! We all wish you the best! Good luck!

Elizabeth - January 24

Hi Ann. I had little af-like cramps during the day today, but still no af. I'm also worried that the o day might fall on the weekend. Because of that, I actually hope af only comes in a day or two's time. I also tested...just in case....but, as usual bfn.

Sorry... my mistake! I wrote the message above TO Maria (but I signed "Maria").

Wow, we all posted at the same time! Nata, yes, I am lucky that my stepson and I get along so well. My dh's ex-wife and I also get along really well. She and I talk at least a couple times per week, which my dh loves because he doesn't have to talk to her as much:). We all try to make sure that rules and consequences are the same at both houses and all that stuff, too. For a situation that involves a divorce with a child, I don't think it could be much better! That is great you like to take care of your dh. Compatibility is what it is all about, right?? My dh and I just have sort of a role reversal (of stereotypical roles anyway) in our relationship. I am really lucky to have found someone that fits with my personality!

Hi Elizabeth!

Ann - January 24

Hi Elizabeth. It is nice to see you online during the day!! Is it the afternoon in SA?

Elizabeth - January 24

It's exactly 4 in the afternoon. I usually only work until 4, but today, I'm leaving a little later. It's great speaking to you girls online. I wish I could do it more often!

Ann - January 24

Elizabeth, what do you do work-wise? You are only 1-2 hours past the Euro countries in which I have colleagues with whom I speak on a regular basis. I would have thought it was later there for some reason!

Elizabeth - January 24

I'm a computer programmer (web pages). Boring, I know, but I absolutely love my job. Also, I live about 5 minutes drive away from the building where I work, so it's great! And you?
