Prolactin Part II

Sorry. This is actually a question, not an answer. I have a tumor on my pituitary gland. It is not a prolactinoma (since the tumor is not secreting prolactin). However, it is pushing on my pituitary gland, causing the gland to secrete high levels of prolactin. Does anyone know if this could cause a false positive on a pregnancy test?

I could really use your help. I just found out in March I have a prolactin level issues. My thyroid is normal though. We have been trying to get pregnant for over 3 years with no luck. I have always had my cycle like clock work until April when I had breakthrough bleeding a few days after normal cycle for an additional week. I should have started my period on the 9th of May and I haven't at all its now the 19th and no bleeding. I saw my primary care today who took a urine pregnancy test that said negative. I see a endocrinologist on July 8th because that was the earliest appointment available. I'm a sitting duck... I never have had issues with my period being late and now I am but the urine test said I'm not pregnant. My heart is broken because I thought finally we were going to be blessed... And bow I have to wait another month and a half basically before I can see this specialist. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. I'm so sad and stressed and keep crying.
