Welcome Sherry! Lashunda, I agree with the other ladies, its easier to know whats going on with O if you are doing something, temp'ing, OPK's etc. I would be lost if I didnt do anything, unless you will be one of the lucky ones who just gets pregnant without the aid of anything else. I see Cendy gave you great instructions! Ericka, enjoy bd'ing! You are going away this weekend right ? I hope this will be your lucky month..Dont think about what may come next month, just concentrate on now. Cendy, (from the old thread) I have not had my progest. checked. I had/have a order on cd 25 to get a blood test done to get it checked, but I was so sure I was pregnant last month (stupid me) that I didnt do it. I am wondering the Clomid will skew the results if I do it this month? Do you know? I think we feel painful O because of the medication. This month was the worst, being my 1st month on Clomid. My nipples are still so sore, but now its traveled to my entire boobs. I thought this was good, but looked back last month on my calendar and I got sore boobs about this same time last month so I guess it means nothing other then it seems normal for me at this time in my cycle. (I am on cd 21, 5 dpo) Today I had a big glob of semi thick creamy/yellowish cm (sorry) that I dont think I have ever had before. ? Cendy, I dont know the answer to your OPK question and how many dpo you would be since I use the monitor and it narrows it down to just two days. I usually go by the 1st the the monitor shows I O and I would think you would do the same with the OPK's but I could be wrong. Maybe count from the 2nd day you get a + on your OPK as O day and then the day after would be 1 dpo ? I am not a big watcher of cm as I dont have that much usually either, except around O time, so I dont know about your cm turning like creamy lotion after O, but maybe you are right and that would explain what happened to me today.
Whatever you want to do with the old/new thread but I think now that this one is started, we should stick with those one. (I also like to look back at the old thread sometimes)...
Have a great night..Baby dust and more dust!

Thanks Cendy for the tips. Are the tests expensive because I don't want to do one wrong and then have to buy another box, LOL. Hey CC, I think your cm color is a good sign!! So maybe we will be hearing good news soon : ) Keep us posted, alright? Well, I guess I'm gonna call it a night. Hey how's the weather where you all are living?

Cendy - October 5

Lashunda OPKs can be expensive. I believe the Answer ones I used this month were about $15.00 or so. You might want to start out with the cheaper ones and closer to O use the more expensive ones. They come in boxes of 7 tests. I guess I am cd 20 and 3 dpo if I count the first day of + OPK. I am going for my 21 day progesterone test tomorrow. I called my doctor Monday so hopefully they will have me all set to get it done tomorrow. Remember last month I had such a hard time getting in for it and missed the window to have it done. I hope my levels are up. 16.7 I think the last test I had. I do not know if the Clomid effects the results. It shows if you have Oed I believe and that is what the Clomid is supposed to help with. It has to be done on day 21 though. CC shouldn't you be having one today since you are on day 21? I would think so being on Clomid. I always have painful O pains they are just more unbearable with the Clomid. Well, I will go for now. BABY DUST!

Oh, what day is everyones AF supposed to show it ugly face? I believe mine would be around Oct 19. Hopefully none of ours will come though. BABY DUST!

Indie - October 5

Hi Cendy,

My af is due to darken my doorstep on Oct 19th as well. Heh. Here's hoping that she misses her visit for both of us.

Indie - October 5

Cendy, are you getting IUI? What's your story? I had my LH surge yesterday so gave things a try. I am single and doing this via ai donor, so have to time things just right.

FYI- OPKs measure the Leutinizing Hormone surge which is a precursor to ovulation. Ovulation usually occurs between 12-36 hours after the LH surge.

Cendy, let us know how you progest. test goes tomorrow. I dont get the blood test's done because I get the scans done instead. The scans tell you and the Dr when and if you O'd. They do the same thing (blood test and the scan) but my Dr office said they like the scans because it not only tells then if I O but WHEN. The blood test only tells IF. Either way, as long as you O, thats the important thing as far as I am concerned! Not expecting AF this month! But..if it comes, I would be due somewhere around Oct 13, give or take a few days. Wont test till at least Oct 16 or 17 and this time I PROMISE ! Nothing else new with me..Have a good night ladies!

Hey Indie and ladies in waiting. I am not getting IUI. My story is that I have two beautiful boys 4 and 6, but we are hoping that after our HSG unblocking my tubes will help us with our third this month. I have been on clomid 100mg for 6 cycles so far. I have low progesterone levels so I always have to take suppliments when I get pregnant. My first pregnancy ended in a MC. We are hoping to have a little girl this time. I know our group seems to be mostly hopeful first time mothers, but I guess I am being selfish trying to have a third when so many cannot seem to have one easily. I have been TTC this child for over a year now. I have tried all kinds of things. Last month I started using the Instead Softcups and this month I started taking Evening Primrose Oil suppliments for better CM. What else can I say about me? I believe that is it, but if you have any questions, I will be happy to answer any. Indie you are very brave to be enbarking on motherhood as a single parent. When do you get IUI? I hope you have lots of support from your family and friends. Remind me about your story Indie. I think you were on our other thread, but I may be mistaken. BABY DUST!

Ericka - October 6

Hello. I'm STILL waiting to o and getting a little impatient. Had another positive opk today and my temps have not risen so I have another chance to bd. I'm ready to start the frustrating 2ww. I expect af not to come on the 17th. Well this is my last chance before seeking professional help. Wish me luck. Baby dust

Lashunda - October 6

Hello ladies, well, I'm due for af next week 9, 10, or 11 (I know, I know) I usually don't keep up with my periold but I have been the last couple of months and they seem to be starting earlier than the month before (sorry if confusing) but I hope it doesn't show at all!! Well, just dropping by. Take care everyone!!

Lashunda - October 6

By the way, I've been peeing alot today for some stupid reason. I didn't even drink much but maybe its because its cold??

Cendy - October 6

Wow CC, we did post at the very same time. That is weird. I agree great minds do think a like. Well, it is cd 21 and I heading off to the hospital for my progesterone test. As of this morning my doctor still had not faxed over the order to have it done here in town instead of me having to miss work and travel to their office. I called again and they said they would fax it, but you never know. Ericka your eggs are just hanging on for dear life I think. They will let go soon I hope. Keep BDing just in cas. CC it makes sense to me now that I asked if you were getting a blood test when they can tell all that from the scans. But when you do get pregnant make them check your level to make sure yours is not low like mine. Lashunda, I have peed four times this morning and that is just unlike me. I hope its a sign, but I doubt it since O would have been around 10/02. When does implantation take place after O? I cannot remember. Well, I have been having a little sharp pains in my lower right side. This is the side that my tube was so blocked on, so I wonder if it is the one my ovary uses to get me pregnant. Only stupid time will tell. Have a nice day ladies. Talk to you all later on today. BABY DUST!

Lashunda - October 6

Hey there, just wondering and its kind of stupid, but does anyone ever feel nauseated when having sex? No offense to my dh, I love him forever, but the last couple of nights, we bded and I've been feeling alittle nauseated in the process. Am I just weird or what?!?

Cendy - October 6

Lashunda, I do not think I have ever gotten sick at my stomach when BDing, but anything is possible. Especially if you are newly pregnant. The motion of the act could be too much for you to handle if you are indeed pregnant. Well, I had my blood test today, but won't know the results for a couple of days. I have been to pee it seems a million times. I cannot remember when I started peeing like this when I was pregnant before. I am not even peeing that much. I just have the sensation I need to go and I know I do not have any kind of infection. So what do you all think about Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise having a baby? I wonder if they planned it? Good luck to them, but I think Tom is creepy. Gotta go to the bathroom...talk to you gals later. BABY DUST!

Indie - October 6

Hi gals!

Lashunda, it really sounds like you are pg...but I don't want to jynx it. (fingers crossed, knock wood).

Cendy, thanks for your reply. I have a HUGE support network. Heck, even my friends' kids are asking when I am going to be a mommy...as Fiona says "You're a great pretend big sister, but you'd be a great mommy too". I'm still trying to decide whether to do IUI...not sure if it will improve my odds, and it's not cheap...so this cycle I just did natural insem and if this doesn't work, we'll see what's next. I'm 34 and I am a cancer survivor. I've had two pelvic surgeries. One to remove the original tumour on the left ovary, then a second surgery 7 years later to remove a "suspicious growth" on the right ovary that ended up being benign. For a long time docs said I'd never be able to have kids, but my current doc (when I first met her) said she'd run some tests before making such a blanket statement. She did, and found out my cycles were fine and all my hormone levels were perfect and I was still o'ing...whether or not the "plumbing" still works well remains to be seen. There was never any uterine or tube involvement with the cancer, but there may be some adhesions in my abdomen from the surgeries. Anyway, needless to say, even under the best circumstances I am fighting the odds, so I figured if I wanted to have kids I probably shouldn't sit around waiting for a DH. My job is as a software analyst is awesome, pays really well, and I telework 4 days out of 5, so single momhood is feasible. I have two cats and decided to get a dog, and figured that if I couldn't take the responsibility of the dog then I probably shouldn't consider kids on my own. Well, I've had my dog for a year and a half. She even has a "doggy sitter" for the nights I want to go out and frankly, she's spoiled rotten, so I am definitely ready for kids. Anyway...I've got all my baby dust wishes sent your way. Cendy, you sound like you're having pg symptoms too. For me, I think it's too early to tell. Anything I'm feeling 2 days post-o is probably just in my head.
