chim....congrats!!!!!! finally, someone with a BFP!!!!!! i had my laporoscopy 1 1/2 weeks ago. finally feeling better and able to get around without pain. the doc removed some endometriosis and some cycts. he said that there wasn't really anything he found that would prevent me from getting pregnant, so he has classified me as unexplained infertility. because the cyst on my left ovary was so large, we have to wait a few weeks before we can do anything else. we are going to move on to IVF based on my december cycle, which means we'll actually do IVF sometime in january. it seems so far away, but for the next few months, i don't really have to worry about anything, which will be a nice break from the constant worrying/disappointment i've been so stressed about. i'll keep you ladies updated!

star...my doctor went over those stats with me and the paper he gave me says healthy women in our age group have a 44% success rate with IVF when 2 embryos are used and 32% of those women had twins. The percent actually went down when 4 or more embryos were used. so when we do it, we're only going to use 2 and freeze the rest for later use if needed.

Chim** That is HUGE HAPPY NEWS! OMG congratulations! I am so envious as I picture you with that faint second line ! How I wish that was me this month, but, definitely negative HPTs all three times. AF began Saturday once I d/c'd the prog. supps. So, today is CD3, and I begin letrozole again today. This will be our 4th IUI this month... hopefully our last?! CHIMMER Enjoy the Bliss and Joy that a BFP brings:-) We are all THRILLED for you. GL and GB (God Bless)

Chimerasai - October 20

Cleveland ~ thanks for the kind words. I feel somewhat guilty that I got a BFP when I know you ladies all deserve one too. sorry about AF. she is such a bitch. Is letrozole the same as femara? I am praying that this month will the one for you. ...............handy ~ a break isn't such a bad thing especially since the holidays are stressful enough without the ttc. I am glad you are feeling better. keep us updated.....................star ~ good luck next month on your IVF cycle.................gurinsa ~ when do you start your opk testing?..............as for my, i got my 4 week, 1 day betas back. my HCG is 124 and my progesterone is 136. anyone have info on really really high progesterone levels? All i could find related to multiples! Any info is welcome.......

CONGRATS CHIM!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you! Don't ever feel bad about a BFP - you give us all hope that this frustrating IUI process will actually work! I wish you a happy and healthy 9 (10) months!!!! Please stay with us and keep us posted :)..Cleveland...so sorry about your BFN..I really thought that we would be successful this month. I am pretty annoyed about the first one not working. I am scared that the 2nd one won't work either..I hope you had fun at happy hour - I totally agree that a fun time can temporarily help!! So today is cd 8. I will start opk's on Thursday..I will take the doc's advice this time and do back-to-back IUI's instead of just 1. star and handy..please keep us posted!

Yeah!! Congratulations Chim!! I am so excited that people do get pregnant these days:) It gives me hope that someday it will be my turn. I am very happy for you. I do not know much about progesterone. Mine was over 50 one month and I did not get pregnant. I do know a girl who had a reading over 100 and she did have twins:) Lets go the rest of us!! Good luck on your IVF Star, and good luck to everyone else. I get to take this evil nuvaring out on Sunday. It make me mean and fat:) Anyway, I will be checking in on ya'll. Hopefully, I will get to start a new cycle in Nov. Good Luck....

Hi everyone I am new to this site. From what I was told was to wait at least a week, but if you could hold out 2 weeks to test because of false readings. But I just had my first IUI on the 18th of October....so I am getting excited for this to be it!! I am praying for the first time because my insurance doens't cover it and it's kind of expensive.

Chimerasai - October 22

gurinsa ~ :) thanks for the encouragement. so you are going to do your second IUI this cycle? back to back IUIs is a good idea. My RE told us that most couples get pregnant in the first 3 tries. It so happens that we got our BFP on try 3. don't give up hope. ...................katherine ~ me and dh are excited at the prospect of twins. I guess I will find out in my first sonogram on week 7. feels like years away right now.....................magic ~ WELCOME. the tww can be a total bitch. keep your resolve and try to wait until 10dpiui at the earliest. many ladies will tell you to wait 14 days, but i never had the patience for that. good luck and keep us posted.

gurinsa - October 22

thanks chimerasai! well I unexpectedly got a positive opk this morning (only cd 10). I tested cause I felt like I was ovulating and..sure enough..it was postiive. So I went in for the ultrasound and they gave me the shot. My husband was unavailable today (at work) so we scheduled the IUI for 7am tomorrow morning!! I am so worried that we will miss the egg (again) this month because we didn't have the IUI today. Can you guys give me your experience with the IUI? Have most of you had back to back or just 1? What day do they usually give yours?

magicmarcy - October 22

Thanks for the Welcome. My name is Marcy...it's nice to meet you all! My BFF used this site all the way through her pregnancy and loved it. So I thought I would get on it too.

Chimerasai - October 22

gurinsa ~ I have always gotten my IUI the day after I get a pos OPK. My RE said that once you get the LH surge the egg will release with in 24-36 hours. then the egg is viable for 12 hours. So anytime in the 48 hours following your pos OPK is good. You will be fine with the tomorrow IUI. it worked for me!

magicmarcy - October 22

My doctor is sending me for lab work on Friday the 24th for Progesterone. That will be a week past my first IUI. Have you ladies had to do this as well? I figured the results might be distorted cause of all the hormones I am on. thoughts?

Chimerasai - October 23

magic ~ what have you taken? i don't think a prog test would be skewed unless you have been taking prog supplements.

magicmarcy - October 23

I did the 5 days of clomid, then my first injection was menpour, then my HCG injection, then the IUI. Nothing else was presribed at this point. I am new to this, so I barley got an explaination from the fertility center....they just moved on it quick!

magicmarcy - October 27

Boy these discussions get long and confusing.....lol

Chimerasai - October 27

How is everyone?!! everyone has been pretty quiet lately...............gurinsa ~ how is your tww?....................katherine ~ is your evil nuvaring gone?? when do you start your cycle? what will you be doing?................Cleveland ~ are you about to start opk testing? 4th time is a charm! it is time for your BFP...................star ~ how are you doing on the bc? it always made me bitchy. hopefully you don't have any of the crappy side effects................handy ~ i know you have the month off, but check in and let us know how you are feeling..............magic ~ luckily we will be starting the Nov thread soon. I think they are testing for prog to ensure it is at a good level since it is so important during preg. Be sure not to test until you are 10 or 11dpiui since you got the trigger shot. The hpt might pick up residual HCG from the shot. good luck in your tww....................
