Hi been trying for about 3 years and I also have Pcos and elevated prolactin. DR put me on clomid and metformin and to my surprise I just found out that i am 5 weeks pregnant. so hang in their and get on the right meds and I do believe it's possible. Good luck and baby dust. Oh yeah and I have a daughter who is almost 5.

i tried 3 1/2 years, and then got pregnant with my daughter from my 1st round of clomid. so there are happy endings out there. right now, we are going again, and i sure hope it doesn't take that long. we are au-natural for now, since we were "unexplained infertlity". dh is not getting any younger at all, so we are trying. good luck to you, you are were i was. there is lots of hope! especially with secondary infertility. you know your body IS capable. hugs, sherry

Actually I took my first round of clomid in september and 2 weeks later dr. put me on metformin. October spotted only one day, took a pregnancy test the next day which came out positive. Found out I was 5 weeks pregnant. It was a shocker for me because i didn't expect it to work that fast.

TB, my husband and I tried for 3 1/2 years with no luck. I was so miserable and depressed every month when AF would come. Finally when I turned 35, we went to a fertility clinic, did one cycle of IUI, and I got pregnant. We were told afterward that, due to my husband's sperm morphology, we only had a 5% chance of conception through IUI. Don't give up...if I could conceive with those odds, anything is possible. Good luck to you!

Hey TB here's a story to cheer you up. We ttc for 10 months---found out DH had low sperm count and low morphology--and that I had PCOS. We did lots of bloodwork and I had HSG done and that looked fine. Dr told us we had 2% getting pregnant naturally. We were going to try Clomid with IUI--did Clomid, but had to cancel IUI b/c I had no follicles responding. Watched my temps and used OPK and ovulated on my own on cd30---we bd 3 days in a row around that time, and now I'm 7 weeks pregnant! Miracles DO happen! Dr was so shocked that it happened naturally. I also starting taking Metformin the day after I ovulated...it's NOT given to people whom are overweight, I took it b/c I have high testosterone levels and some insulin resistance with the PCOS....most women who have PCOS probably do and need bloodwork to confirm it. I'm still on the Metformin 2X a day and we've already seen and heard the heartbeat! So hang in there we all thought it wouldn't happen to us at some point!

I now 7 weeks pregnant also. I have been ttc for 8months. I was also dx with pcos this summer. I was told by my dr it could take awhile to get pregnant. I was put on metformin once a day on aug 30th. here i ovulated on 29th the day before just like kerri. I'm still taking my meds just incase. It worked on the first round. I'm now due june 5th. I also got to see the baby and heartbeat and everythings looking good.
