Alright hang in there CARMI !! I don't know what I can say to make the wait better, because I know hearing "try not to think about it" doesn't help me! I just keep thinking about baby names:)

Hello all!

I am starting my first round of IUI this weekend. At least the starting process of ultrasounds and Clomid. I naturally got pregnant last December but lost my little one at 6 weeks. My doc is super hopeful since I was able to concieve naturally the first time. I'm just looking for somewhere to vent with those who know what this is like. I'm nervous but hopeful. I'm so ready to be a mom. So very ready. Any advice would be gratefully taken!

I am a 32 yr old with pcos. I am about to embark on iui next week. My doctor makes me laugh because he said we have to check to see if your tomatoes are ripe and if they are then we proceed as on schedule. I have been marriaged 12 yrs and have really tried getting pregnant the past 5 yrs. All of the infertility information is overwhelming, and expensive. I took clomid and the follistim shot. I have ovadrel for before the procedure, close to $600 just for the meds and $250 per sonogram I couldn't imagine having to do this multiple tries. I have prayed for a baby and really hope that God would provide I know he has perfect timing. I pray that He will allow this to work. I have never been pregnant but according to the tests I have an allergy to my husband's semen, the md says that I am not allergic to his actual sperm but the semen that it is in. So I probably will not get pregnant naturally. I have one blocked tube that makes it a little more difficult as well. I know how it feels to want to be a mother I can relate.

Maycee02 - The two week wait is terrible! I had my first IUI on July 5th. I go in for my Beta blood test this Friday! I tested every day after my IUI to see when the Trigger Shot had left my system. It was out by 6DPIUI and I got the first faint BFP on 9DPIUI (which is very early). Each day the second line on the HPT gets darker and every digital test I take reads that wonderful word "Pregnant". Since it's so early on and my Beta test isn't until Friday, I feel weird posting this - almost like I am jinxing myself. Anyway, I was not very hopeful of getting a BFP on my first IUI, especially since I stimmed for sooooo long and only produced one follie. I just wanted to share my success and I hope you have beginners luck too!

I had my first iui that resulted in a single pregnancy. Unfortunately, we miscarried at 8 weeks and I had to have a D&C. Took 3 months to get follies on my right ovary because my left tube is blocked. Did another iui and boom-twins. A boy and a girl, born healthy and happy. I wish you all lots of blessings. It definitly can work the first time!!

Wow!!! Congrats to all of you!! That is very good news! Carriebeth I will send good thoughts and baby dust your way for tomorrow!! It definitely sounds promising though!!! Kristina and Carmi thank you as well for sharing your success stories! I am obviously hoping for BFP next week but if I don't get it I will try not to get too discouraged.. we will just have to try again. :)

Alrighty then. I had the IUI on Monday and now I'm waiting too! July 30th can't come soon enough! I am trying to promise myself to not look into any "early" pregnancy signs, especially since I am only 3dp IUI. I have had a smidgen of light cramping which I think I remember having with my first pregnancy last Decmeber which resulted in a m/c. I think our chances are pretty good in the grand scheme of things since we only needed 10 mil sperm and my over achiever husband produced 72 mil!!! Carriebeth - good to know that the trigger will show up on a test until around a week after. I don't want to freak out and blindly go take a hpt just to find out it was all the trigger shot! Hopefully I get to be one of those first times a charm gals. I'm just wishin' and hopin' and thinkin' and prayin'...:) BABY DUST!
