RRC, yes my 2nd insemination was this morning. We did a sonogram after the insemination and my 3 mature follicles still have not released. So I will go back in tomorrow and get another sonogram done to see if they have collapsed. So yeah I guess I am in the waiting period, however, its not the 2ww. I never thought I would say this, but I wish I was in the 2ww. At least I would know that there is a possibility soon. I'm not sure what the doctor will say if the trigger shot i had doesn't release the follicles. I'm going crazy over here to be honest with you.

Hannah, so what happens if they don't release? They have to release the egg at some point if they're mature, right? Do you keep getting the inseminations everyday until they release or what? And just out of curiosity where is "over here"? I'm in Washington state.

Hannah B - February 16

RRC, I'm from Dallas, Texas. I'm not really sure what happens. From my past experience, I normally ovulate on days 18-21 while on a Clomid cycle. This cycle we triggered at day 14. One of the question I am going to ask my RE is what happens now. I think the inseminations work best for me because I don't have the proper CM (usually dry) to transport my DH's boys through the cervix. So hopefully she will just keep monitoring me and then we can some how squeeze another insemination in. I've never been through the possibility of not ovulating. I always have while on clomid--just later than usual normally. Another person on one of the other message board told me that her doctor said it was rare to not ovulate after a trigger shot. So I am crossing my fingers.

Boy, it sucks!
I had SUCH a long answer typed out, and then, my internet connection reset and good bye!
Guess I'll try again, ha? :-)
Happy TGIF, girls! And a President's Day! Anyone planning on hitting the sales? Me, not really feeling up to it. And anyway, I think we kinda have everything we need for now.
Some more new people! I am so glad. It really is turning out to be a great community. I am so glad you started this thread, RRC, and I am definitely feeling hopeful this month -- for all of us!
And nope, no AF yet, still waiting. Never knew I would be so impatient to see the first of the witch, not the back of her. How things change! :-) CATALINA, DANIELA, JULIEB, still in the same waiting game, ha! We might just start our clomid on the same day, hmm? Might be exciting!
You must be all impatient, too, RRC -- and JAYCEE and WANTANOTHER. How are you girls feeling today? Wishing you awesome bd sessions. Hey, it's the weekend, why not get some practice in before the big O, right? ;-)
And FILLEDWITHFAITH & SHARERC Can't wait for you to find out if you are starting our BFP's this month! Any symptoms, yet?
JULIEB, I am so sorry it is tough w your dh. Maybe, he is just worried the problem is with him? Or have you tested? And boy, do I know how you feel, re the pregnant ladies. :-) Well, sorta. A friend of mine got her little bean in on the third month off b/c, and was I jealous! Of course, in her case, the baby has been entirely wanted and worked toward. But it had been so easy for her, you know, while my fiance and I had been not protecting for like a year before actively ttc for about 5 months at that point! And then, she lost her little girl just before this Christmas. It has been so rough on her, you know. It was on the flight, and she hasn't even known it for the next couple of days. Drs. said it was because of the sudden increase in pressure, which apparently cause a temporary cessation of flow to the cord that was already partially twisted around itself. It has been SO hugely rough on her! She has so bonded with the baby already. And oh, did I feel like crap! She is a bit better now, and she has started talking of perhaps trying again soon. In fact, I know she is already exploring whether she is sufficiently ready for it now, physically.
I am so glad, HANNAHB, that you have not gone through this! I guess it is rather like losing a potential for a baby rather than a living tangible little person you can see if not yet touch. Still, it sucks, in a very major way! I hope your procedure works. You will keep us posted, won't you? Is any of this covered by ins, btw? Something tells me not, though! :-)
VISTAGIRL, do you think you might be preggo? Any chance? Did you bd 6-12 days before your semi-period? Because I have to agreed with the ladies here, it does sound like it. In fact, rather like implantation bleeding, to me. Have you tested? What are your temps like, if you are taking them? Clomid does do a number on a fetus from everything I read!
Hugs to all from KY! And pounds of babydust!....Lisa.

good afternoon wow this is a busy thread. I'm so excited I got a +opk this afternoon I took clomid days 3-7 so pray that this will do the trick. Vista I really hope it is a + for you I agree with everyone it sounds alot like implantation bleeding. Is anyone having any SE I am crampy today I think because of the O. I never felt this crampy before. I also have a major headache. I know how you all feel with the baby thing (friends being pg) 1 of my employees had a little girl on Monday. Cute little thing I just wanted to cry all the way home. I feel bad feeling like that too but somehow I think it understandable (at least you all know the feeling) Hannah I hope everything goes well let us know what happens. Filled and share start our BFPs we could use some loads of sticky babydust to you all!

rrc - February 17

Yea, you got the big O, Wantanother! Should be a fun weekend then. ;) So you're cd15, right? So far I can't tell any side effects to the clomid other then sleeping restless and hot at night. But hey, if that's the worst it gets, I'm pretty pumped about that!

wantanotheraftertr - February 17

Yes I am currently cd15 and yes a fun weekend. I haven't had bad SE either . The cramps are the only real thing but like you I can deal with that. I usually o on cd20-21 so if I O in the next day or so it will be a little early hopefully that will make my luteal phase a little longer. I took my last pill on cd7 and just got +opk so I wonder if the dose makes a difference on how early you O after the last pill good luck Hope we are all on the clomid soon and everyone can start dancing!!!!!!!!

sharerc - February 17

Sky- that is just terrible about your friend. I can't imagine getting over that. I had a hard enough time getting over my blighted ovum and there was no baby there! Hannah- I'm from the DFW area too. Who is your RE? And yes ladies. I 'think' I will test tomorrow. I really and truly don't want to though. I have a little bit of sore boobs but nothing else. I think AF is probably on her way. Ugh!

Hannah B - February 17

Hi SKy, thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I'm sorry about your friend. It has to be hard. I will definitely keep you all posted on my appointment tomorrow. Fortunately for me, my husband works for a huge company so our insurance is awesome. I basically pay 10% of the bill and his company pays out the rest of the bill. So so far it hasn't been bad at all. Wantanother, you are just one day behind me. I'm on CD 16 so we probably will be testing around the same time. I myself will not test because they will perform a beta test on 12 days past ovulation. But who am I kidding, I might break down and actually go and buy a test. Hi Sharerc, my RE is Dr. Anna Nackley over at CAR in Bedford, but I also see Dr. Rehman at CAR. I see him more often since he works out the Frisco Office and I live in Allen. Luckily for me I will see Dr. Nackley tomorrow over in Bedford. I have had some good experiences with both of them. I think I lucked out and found really good doctors and that is very hard to come by. Who do you see?

filledwithfaith - February 17

so unfortunately Iam not sure if i O'd or if I did, when that would have been. I am wondering though what implamentation pains feel like. I am on cd20 and am having funny twinges of pain. Just wonder if anyone else out there has felt that. How wonderful would that be....? Anyways it could also be an email from AF letting me know she is on her way too, whic would also be good, as I would know the clomid is working. Anyways, if anyone can shed a little light on the feelings I would totally appreciate it. I feel like I have a vast wealth of knowledge here on the forum and can only hope that through this all, I can be of support and help to others when they need it. Thanks.

Hello girls, just jumping in, hope no-one minds. I have used clomid before. I took 50mg cd5-9 in 2001 and got preggers the first month with twins. They are now 5 boy/ girl. I also have a 7yr girl. I conceived naturally again, but baby girl was stillborn at 20weeks, then had 2 early m/c both conceived naturally, then took clomid again, got preggers second cycle 50mg cd 5-9 baby boy born at 22 weeks with severe birth defects and passed away after 8 hrs,. Have been ttc since for nearly a year again, took clomid for a few months earlier on but no luck. Just had dye testing done and a laparoscopy done, had some adhesions removed from my ovaries. Took this month off of ttc, but plan to start clomid again after next AF. Currently cd16. I use OPK's and I temp. S/E for me are usually mild hot flushes and headaches. I take mine at night. I have found clomid to lenghthen my cycles by a few days and you usually O later aswell. I have been told the best time to start BD is 5-8 days after the last pill. I have heaps of info on different things concerning ttc. Just things I have learn't over the last year or so, so If I can help anyone out I'd be happy to. Goodluck to you all this month. Take care. Kiza

kiza - February 17

Vistagirl, I chat with another lady on another thread who is currently suffering with a cyst. Her doc has told her to hold off on the clomid this month as they can cause cysts. She has been put back on b/c for a month to dissolve the cyst. Then once it has gone she can start the clomid. Clomid is definately known for causing cysts not dissolving them.

Sorry girls, but another thing with the Robitussin, depending on what country you live in, in USA there is a drug called musinex and that has the active ingredient guaifenesin in it the same as robi. This comes in tablet form so no more swallowing yukky robi. As long as you have 600mg of guaifenesin a day. I have always been told you start the robi or musinex the day after last pill for 3 days. I live in Aussie and we don't get musinex here but I ordered some tabs on the net called Guai-Aid and they are the same as musinex.

sharerc - February 17

HANNAH- my neighbor used your dr to get pregnant a few years back. I don't currently see a RE but my OB is in Bedford. If I got to a RE I will most likely go to Dr. Douglas in Plano because my good friend is using him now and he really works with your insurance by claiming things different so they pay for it. But I live in Trophy Club and work in Lewisville so either direction is a long time for me! KIZA- You are a strong, strong lady. I doubt I would be that strong and continue TTC. I wish you luck! VISTA- I too have heard that Clomid can cause cysts so I'd check again with your dr. Afterall, most of the time before they will prescribe you Clomid they check to see if you have cysts. Oh ladies, I tested this morning and of course it was a BFN. It's totally what I expected. So now I'm glad I didn't waste all of those progesterone suppositories earlier this week and last week. I only used 5 out of the 18 so I'll be able to use those next month too. So, let's go AF! Get this show on the road!

wantanotheraftertr - February 17

Share sorry to hear it ! vista I like the others have heard that clomid causes cysts thats. A ladie on an other thread had a horible experience with it 51 day cycle 2 sacs undetermined in the uterus and 3 cycts on her ovarys she stopped taking the clomid and finally af showed and things are back on track. I have had cysts before without taking clomid and in fact when I had my pre tubal reversal u/s I had a huge cyst. They did have me take 50mg of clomid that month I started it the same day I had the u/s c/d5 and my next u/s it was gone! Thats why I was not worried when they put me on 100 mg this month. I guess it can go either way! They would have had to remove the cyst when they did the reversal. Kiza I was told to be carefull with the musinex you deffinatly don't want to take it durring pg but before its ok just dont take it to long. filledwithfaith I had one of those months last month I am almost convinced I did not O but my temp did rise but my luteal pase was like 5days after temp rise I was not useing opk but my monitor I never got a peak I did the month before and again today but +opk yesterday! babydust to you all!!!!!
