I'm just starting Clomid for the first time and wondered if there's anyone else out there to share this with. I'm on cd2 and going to be starting Clomid tomorrow, cd3. I've been off bc since nov 2005. All blood work so far seems to indicate that I'm just not ovulating or perhaps just really randomly. So we're trying Clomid. I'm a little nervous, but also excited. Is there anyone out there going through this for the first time also? Thanks.... Renee'

Hey, rrc! Hope the clomid works for you. Are you nervous? In my case, I am still on provera, so no AF. I have another 3 days to go. And boy, is it giving me a pre-AF symptoms from hell. Especially, the bloating, Gah! Even my stomach hurts, like it's being pushed up, you know. But strangely, my temps are starting to go down. Isn't it too soon? Can't wait to see what clomide does. ;-)
Sticky baby dust to all of us!
PS. This is me trying to post here instead of on our other thread. Just what is going with my laptop?! grrr!

So sorry about your symptoms! On the bright side, you'll be all prepared for the clomid s/e, as I've heard they can be similar. As for temps, I actually don't know much about that. I've never checked my temps. I decided to start this tread, to see if we could get a bunch of us all on the same thread. It has an easier title to find. Hopefully others will find us. Sorry about your computer problems.

Bumping up. Is there anyone else out there tying in Feb who's not already on a thread?

Hi rrc, I'm going to start my first cycle of clomid next monday (if af shows up). I'm excited and nervous.. We have been ttc our #3 for 18 months.. It's been so furstrating.. I'm 34 and I feel time is against me.. Every month I'm getting older.. ugg!! I'm nervous about the side effects.. I hear about all the mood swings, I have a 14yr old and 18month old.. I don't want to lose my cool with them.. So my goal on the Clomid is to keep myself in check.. Are you having any of the side effect?? How have you been feeling? What CD are you on?? When will you start ttc in your cycle?? I have read start at cd10 but then I have read conflicting days also.. I'm not taking through my MD, I'm taking it u/p. My MD wants to wait 6 months before giving it to me.. I really don't want to wait that long as I know I'm not ovulation... I told him that but he wants to wait.. I can't wait to hear how you doing.. Good luck this cycle.. baby dust!!!

Welcome catalina! I'm now on cd3 and will be taking my first pill tonight. Ironic that it's Valentine's day. Hopefully that's a good sign. So I'm going to take it cd 3-7. I guess there's different theories on what days to take it, but hopefully this works. I'm so nervous about the side effects. I'll let you know how it goes. I've read on this forum that alot of people have been taking them at night and that minimizes the side effects. I'm going to try that, so tonight is the big night. :) Why does your doctor want you to wait?

catalinaD - February 14

I'm not sure, he just said it will take 6 months until I will start you on infertility treatments.. Maybe he wants to se if I get pregnant by the time 6 months is up. Not sure, I wish I could get another Gyn, but the insurance referred me to this guy.. So i'm just going to start taking it.. I hope it works the first try (I guess everyone wants that). I'm a little nervous about it though. If I start to get those pains in my side that everyone talks about I will just go to the ER and tell them what I did. I just know I'm not O'ing, I have been charting for about a year, I'm not getting the CM change at all.. I'm excited for you, starting tonight gets you that much closer to a + hpt.. I will also do the 3-7. I was going to start with 25mg because I'm doing it on my own, but I have read everyone is started on 50mg. So I will just start there.. I can't wait to hear from you.. Hello all. I am ttr and just took my first round of clomid cd3-7. I am currently cd13 and no ovulation yet. I just had a tubal reversal in Oct 06 How long have you all been ttc? I am taking 100 mg because my luteal phase is so short. If the clomid doesn't help then I will be adding progesterone to the mix soon. I am 35 and still married to DH#1 and we just want another since our children are getting older Oldest graduating HS this year. good luck and Babydust to you all!

Hi wantanotheraftertr,
I have been trying for about 16 to 18 months.. I have only been charting for about one year. I have found out on my own that I do not ovulate. But my MD doesn't want to start me on Clomid until 6 more months of trying. I'm not sure why, but that's what he has said. I'm starting clomid on my own next week (i hope, AF has to show up first). How are you feeling? What side effects are you having? How many children have you had? I have had 3, two alive and one Trisomine 18 (very devastaving). So I'm trying for #4. I hope to get multiples as time is very much against me..

Hi all. Well, I took my first pill last night. Slept pretty restless. Was hot all night. Don't know if was from the clomid or not, but don't have anything else to pin it on. Other then that, so far so good. :) We'll see what today brings. Other then being pretty tired, I feel okay so far. I'll keep you posted.

I really didn't have any SE I took the pills in the morning I did notice my temp was high while I was taking the pills and now they are pretty steady within .2 degrees everyday. My temps were very erratic before clomid so its kind of nice to see them so close It will be easier to see the rise and my chart has never looked better. I just got EWCM today so will bd alot in the next few days. I have 3 ages 17,15,and 12 1 boy. I can't imagine losing a child. I know how you feel thinking everything is againt getting pg. I am 35 and the tubal reversal makes it harder but everything went well and they gave me a 80-90% chance of concieving and haveing a baby. All of my tests came back great before the surgery but since I've started charting, have noticed my short luteal phase. hence the clomid if this doesn't lengthen it then the next step is to add progesterone. Hope everything goes well for youand we get some BFP's Babydust!

rrc - February 15

Hey wantanotheraftertr. Welcome! Have you o'd yet? What were your s/e with clomid? I've been off b/c since nov 2005, but only really been trying for about 9-10 months. I'm on 50 mg. I'm 28 and this will be baby #1. I always just assumed that I'd go off b/c and instantly be pregnant, but apparently that's not always the case, huh? :) catalina, has AF showed yet? Hope you all had a good Valentine's Day

rrc - February 15

It seems as though I posted my question to you with out seeing your post. :) Good Morning!

wantanotheraftertr - February 15

thats ok looking at the posting times that would stand to reason we must have been posting at the same time. LOL good luck hopefully well get a BFP on here soon!

rrc - February 15

SkyKennels, how are you? Has AF visited yet?

catalinaD - February 15

Hi all, Good Morning.. Nothing new just waiting for AF, this is taking so long.. I'm just so anxious to get started on the clomid everytime I think about it, it seems like it's been a year.. LOL, but it's only been a day.. Wow wantanotheraftertr, that is a spread of ages from your oldest to now.. It's kind of like me, I didn't have another for 13 yrs. Then I had my newest addition.. I love it.. You will so love having a baby after 12 yrs.. It's been such a blessing. People ask all the time, "are you crazy, you passed that baby stage and now your doing it again". I tell them it's been such a blessing. I was able to do all the kid stuff with my oldest, and now I get to do it again. I love it!! You will love it..
rrc, how are you feeling today? Any side effects to speak of? Do you guys know anything about that progesterone cream? I have read a couple posts of women using it after ovulation, do you know anything about it? or how to use it?

julieb - February 15

I hope you guys don't mind if I join your thread, but I'm hoping to start clomid end of this month, btw catalina how do you get clomid u/p? does anybody know of someone who got bfp the first time they tried it? i've started using the progesterone cream just to bring up my levels since they're kind of low. Ive done reading on it and most sites say that it should have at least 400mg per oz., but theres a pharmacist on power-surge.com that says progesterone hormone only works really well in oil form. I'm still using the cream though.
