Have you had that X-ray that pushes dye though you tubes to see if they are truly blocked?? I went thought the procedure 3 times. The first time was before I had my tubule reversed and twice sense. Both times after they were blocked. The tube is collapsing on itself at the site of the surgery is what my Doctor believes. I got pregnant once after the first x-ray and haven’t been able to sense. I lost the first one to ectopic pregnancy and lost my right tube and ovary. It is my understanding that you can not get pregnant if your tubes are blocked because the sperm can’t get to the egg. I was lucky because when they did the x-ray they were able to reopen the tube for about a year and then I went though it again this April to check and see how it was doing and it was closed up again. They got it open again but it probably will not stay open again.

thanks for your respond,and for your question yes they tried the dye and they said it wouldnt stay in. I wish i could find a way to open them up for a cheap price.

are you tubes closed because you had a std cuz i did and im worried i cant get preg.

I know that x-ray is not cheep. I know my Doctor said there was another way that is done by surgery but it is not cheep that is the reason we went with the x-ray. Getting treated for infertility is not cheep. Sometimes I wonder if Doctors rake women over the coals because they know we want to have children and we can’t without there help so they charge us an arm and a leg. It cost me less to have my tubes tied then it did to have them reversed. LOL It’s just so frustrating.

i had pid and i beleive thats why my tubes closed and i also had cervical cancer and that could be another reason my tubes are closed.

Yes you could lose your tubes and bleed severly. Painful cramping and have a d&c done and that can cause adhesions

did you have symptoms of PID?? What caused the PID?? Just wondering

If you get pregnant in your left tube,Can someone tell me the systoms please.I was diagnosed with pcos in january of this year.I been taking birth control but decided to stop for a month to see what would happen.so far my period hasnt came and my left side has been killing me.and help would be appreciated.ty

I hope someone is here who feels like talking. I just found out today that I had pid. i had my surgery on the 15th but just got back all of the results today. I am so devastated and just don't know what to do. They removed my right tube because it was closed because of the pid. I would tell all the details but it is gross. However, right tube was full off scare tissue and they cleaned it but, the end of the tube was affected by the infectin from the left. So, pretty much my chances of having a baby are none to none. The doc said more than likely it would be an ectopic pregnancy and the they will have to remove the other tube. So I am pretty much screwed. Most of my adult life I always wanted 4 children and now I can't have any. He did tell me I could do IVF but my husband and I can't afford it. It is going to cost us $9,000 to do it. I am so hurt. I love children so much and want so much to have my own. All the young people at my church call me Auntie and always pulling to the side wanting to talk to me about their problems. I want my own to do that with. I want my own!!!!!!1

Hi Angela, I am right their with you. I had an HSG done on 8/8/05 to check my tubes and uterus. Both of my tubes are completely blocked they couldn't get any die in ( they think from past ovarian cyst rupturing) I too was very devastated! I cried and cried. My gyn also said i have a bicornuate uterus which makes things even harder. I have an appt. w/fertility specialist on 8/29 We'll see what he says. My gyn say it's just going to take more effort and time... I'll keep checking in. Hope to here back from you.
