Juzt Me - September 18

I started trying to get pregnant when I was 21. After about 8 months of trying we sought help. Apparently, my tubes were completely blocked and my ovaries were completely covered with scar tissue. I went for a number of tests and had like 5 operations. If that weren't bad enough, my husband at the time (we are now divorced) had a vasectomy reversal with his own problems. Anyways, finally I had laser surgery on the tubes and ovaries. They were unsure of whether or not I still had the cilia in my tubes. (That is what helps to push the sperm and the egg along). I was the first person in my state to have such surgery. We still didn't get pregnant. I did a round of IVF hoping that would work, but it didnt. I was around 28 or 29 at the time. My husband and I divorced when I was 31. I met my fiance and within 2 months ended up pregnant and delivered a healthy baby boy at the age of 35. You need to find a good fertility specialist who is willing to work with you. Mention the laser surgery. As far as what caused the problem, I believe I had Pelvic Inflammatroy Disease as a teenager and never knew. I had terrible pain in my abdomen but they took out my appendix cause they didnt know what else it could be. I think it was PID. Alot of times it goes unnoticed because it can have no signs. I hope this helps and I hope it gives you the "hope" that you need right now. Good luck! And don't give up!!
