I just recently got a call from my RE who is calling me in my first prescription for Clomid. He said that I am going to take it days 3-7 and I am scheduled for an u/s for day 11 (which is July 3rd). I don't have any problems with my fertility, it's DH who has a zero sperm count. After much consideration we have decided that the best thing for us is to use donor sperm. I know that's it's not the most conventional way, but it's our way. We are very excited at the chance to even share this with eachother.

so now you are back to ovulating and AF as normal, after getting your weight up and no running? I really should be working but can't concentrate :)

whynotme - June 23

Yes, but it still took some time. I was working out 2 times a day and very very active. On top of hard-core dieting. I really did alot of damage to my body. Although I looked the best I have ever in my life, I was unhealthy as far as my female reproductive system went. I think it took a few months of gaining weight and no exercise to finally start getting my period. It went something like 21 days, 28 days, 31 days, 30 days. But I always O on day 20. So due to my luteal phase defect I can't support implantation. Hopefully the clomid will help me. I usually have to use 2 OPK's per month because my doctor kept telling me that day 20 was very late for me to O. He made me start testing on day 8. So atleast this month I will break even with the amount I will spend on the clomid as opposed to buying OPK's. Oh, and I can never concentrate! LOL!

I was also way too thin. 5'6''-110 (mostly muscle) & ran constantly. its so encouraging to know that you got your cycle back. I think doc put me on chlomid too early, I had not gained any weight yet and supposedly chlomid isn't the best for really thin women?

whynotme - June 23

Hmmm.. I don't know if the dr. put you on it to early, but that is pretty thin. I got down to 128 lbs. and I am 5'5". It sounds pretty average, but I was very thin and mostly muscle. The dr. I was seeing told me that my body fat was too low and that the only way that I could get my cycle back was to gain weight. If I had it to do all over again I would diet different. I wouldn't lose 40 lbs. in 5 months. That's just too fast for anyone. I would only work out a few times per week and I would allow myself "treats" more often. Maybe I have the chance to do it after I have a baby (god willing). Just know that gaining weight sucks, but you are doing it for a good cause. Just make sure that you eat healthy, but more of it. You will have plenty of time to run after you have your baby.

good morning girls, so i tested this morning and got a BFP!!!! i couldn't wait any longer. dh says i have to wait to tell everyone till after i get the confirmation from the dr. that is going to be so hard. and i'm still having bad cramps, so that kind of throws me off. i'll check in later

Carole - June 24

CONGRATS CRYSTAL!! I have been waiting for you to post your result. I don't know how you didn't break down before now. I know you are excited. I still have to wait till next Thursday to test though I may do it earlier. I was cramping today so not real sure, plus I am on progesterone so af wont come on time anyway. Take care and looking forward to your confirmation by the dr. Have a great weekend celebrating!

JG24 - June 26

Crystal, congratulations, and do not worry about those cramps!! The night before I got my BFP, I had the same cramps and feelings that I always have right before AF starts. I cried for an hour because I was so sure that I was not pregnant. I couldn't believe it when I tested the next morning. I continued having those same cramps until I was 10 weeks along, and the dr. said it was perfectly normal. You will be fine. Again, congratulations!!

whynotme - June 26

Yay Crystal! I am so excited for you. I bet you and dh are so excited too! Were you on clomid? Or did you do it naturally? I started taking my first round of clomid yesterday and so far no s/e's. Thank goodness.
Slowpoke, I couldn't agree more about our dh's. I am so lucky to have someone like him. Hopefully a/f will not come for you on Thursday! Fingers and toes crossed! Was this your first IUI? I forget?

I am so excited foryou Crystal!!! Let me know when you get your test back. I had an Ultrsound today and got to hear the heart beat it's at 158 bpm. You can actually see the arms and feet and head. The baby is measuring 7 weeks exactly. I can't wait we actually get to be BFP!!! Together!! That's so exciting a girl I talk to on another thread just got a BFP after trying 6 IUI's it happened naturally no meds no IUI's. i think it's the time of year everyone seems to be getting BFP'S GOOD LUCK!!!

crystal74 - June 26

thanks greeneye. are you logged onto the first trimester page? i can join you over there. just let me know. i am glad it worked on the first IUI for us. and without meds. my dr. said meds can cause cysts. yuk, so i'm really happy it happened for us without them:)
