IUI in December?

Hi Sashap, that is great! I'm sure it will be a little hectic running around on Christmas Eve to have the IUI, but also I think it's terrific because what better time to ask for a blessing but then Christmas Eve/Christmas day!! For me they charge me out of my pocket $60 for a Sunday or Holiday visit but when you want something as bad as we all do then the $60 seems worth it. I'm excited for you! Yes, I am very fortunate that our BCBS covers Infertility... I do have $26 copay office visits, I have to pay for the amount I mentioned above if I come in on a Sun or Holiday, and I had to pay out of pocket for the Injection class but other then that, they thankfully cover the IUI's, bw, u/s, washing of sperm, etc... I read so many stories of people having to pay for 95% of all this out of pocket, and I feel terrible for them. I know some people go in debt, have to borrow, etc. and I know how expensive this all gets, especially those doing IVF.... I just feel that insurances should cover a good portion of this, as it's what I refer to as out of you hand illness, no of us asked for the problems were experiencing, it just not seem fair. Bina, hello! I hope it works for you. There must be a change, as I don't think your RE would have you do the IUI if he didn't think it was possible. Keep your fingers crossed! I was always told to wait past the 10 days so you don't get a false reading. Praying for all of us to become mommy's this time around!!!

SashaP - December 12

Slow thats funny that we are on the same schedule. Maybe we'll get our bfp's the same day. I start clomid tonight as if I'm not already taking enough pills I get to add 1 more. I'm just glad I don't need to add a trigger shot to the mix. I'm having a really weird af this month, I can't wait till it's over. How is everyone doing?

Hello everyone. cd 16 here. In the 2ww and it's going very slow. I'm feeling alot of pressure to have some good news for christmas so I really hope this is the month. I may test on the 18th or 19th-it's early but I have no willpower when it comes to testing. How's everyone else doing today...

thayward7 - December 12

Hey Gals... glad to hear how positive everyone is feeling. I am still waiting for u/s results to get the green light to try again. It worries me a bit that I haven't heard yet - the u/s was on Thursday! I live in a small city that has a huge doctor shortage. I go to another city (12 hour drive) for my IUIs, but this was an u/s to rule out cysts and/or endometrial polyps. Anyway, I am close to finished x-mas shopping. Just a couple that are "hard-to-buy-fors". I'll likely end-up going the gift certificate route! Well, hope everyone had a great day. Smiles and Babydust... T

GoGo Trigger - December 13

Hi guys, was out of town for a bit. Sorry about that! So, I had my first IUI exactly a week ago today. Today is 7 days post IUI, the halfway mark, and I feel a lot different than I did last month. I still have gas and a little bit of bloating, but not as much as I was having before I think. Also my nipples are not sore at all this time although the sides of the boobs have definitely had their moments (but again, not as bad?). I get frustrated by my total inability to "read my body" since I don't know a) if the HCG shot is out of my system or b) if it's just magnifying PMS symptoms. I literally feel that other than not getting AF, there's really no way of "knowing" before the Beta! I'm kind of nervous about the blood test next Tuesday a.m.--I really won't know! Last month I was supposed to go in for the Beta on Monday but I actually got AF Saturday at noon, so I knew that the IUI hadn't been successful this month. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't get AF on Sunday!

Oh...one other thing. I think I have cysts since I have had some stabbing pains in my left or right ovaries sometimes. Out of 9 follicles, some eggs had to release, right? :D

Gosia - December 13

Hello Ladies, Not much to report here. I am still waiting for Friday's ultrasound and find out when the IUI will be done.
Work for me is crazy now as I work in retail. I will finish my Christmas shopping last minute as I usually wait for the best deals knowing what and when will be at the best price.
Slowpoke, great news for you ...best of luck to you this month. It must have been hard to wait few months. Chele, one more week and you can test....you'll be the first one with great news!
I think this will be a great month for this thread!
Take care!

montie75 - December 13

Hello everyone!! I just love your thread. Everyone is so positive and cheerful!! Gosia, my u/s is also Friday!! This will be my second IUI since my m/c. I did get my positive back in August on my 4th consecutive IUI. Well, I just wanted to wish you all luck!! BABY DUST to all for the holiday season!!

slowpoke01 - December 13

hey all. go go- i would think that out of 9 follicles there would probably be more than one release..lol..GOSIA- it was hard to wait 3 months but i had some great friends to help me THAY and MONTIE have been my lifesavers i dont know what i would have done without them. good luck to all you girls i hope that each of us gets a + this month and we can go to the 1st trimester board together. oh yeah GOGO- dont worry clomid causes cysts on the ovaries. i have had cysts on both of mine at the same time and the doc told me not to worry because they will go away on their own. good luck to you. i will ask the u/s tech thursday if i still have the cysts. last time i was there she was like are you ahving any pain on your left side and i said no why and she said the cyst on the left side is way bigger than the one on the right side. but she said it was normal to have them when you are on clomid. THAY- have yu heard anything from your u/s yet? hope that they hurry up and give you the green light. i know what it is like to have to wait to start a new cycle and so i am praying that they tell you something so that you can start again. good luck and have a great day all

SashaP - December 13

Well I can tell the clomid has kicked in I'm having hot flashes from hell and I'm being a total witch!! It's bad when I even notice it. Other then that I'm good. Speaking of cysts did you know you can get them on your bladder from clomid. About a week after my last m/c I started getting a bad pain in my lower stomach and was feeling like I had to pee every 5 seconds so I went in and they did a urine test and exam. When they pressed on my bladder I about fell off the table. So they told me I had an UTI. I told them I knew it wasn't but they put me on meds anyway. My culture came back clean and I was still in pain so they did an u/s and I had a cyst on my bladder as soon as it ruptured I was fine. Amazing where those things can pop up. So be aware they can cause them anywhere. Plus clomid stays in your system quite awhile. At that u/s they also saw that I had 9 follicles without clomid. Ok enough babbling how is everyone else doing?

GoGo Trigger - December 14

Lol...I'm actually not on Clomid; I was on gonal-f before the IUI. I can't stand Clomid! I was such a completely different person when I was on it.

Today was marked by weird stinging sensations in my right ovary and also by an elevated temp...98.6. I hope that continues :D 9 days post IUI i'm looking for some signs :D

SashaP - December 14

Go Go your signs look positive! I felt something at 9 dpiui with both my pregnancies. Do you have sore bbs or anything else?
