Sasha, yep they do the same thing but I recall reading something awhile back about 2 different types of washes... Not sure what the benefit is of doing it longer??? Good question. Yes it's too late for me to start meds for another IUI now, but beg of March would be the start of a new cycle. I actually called this afternoon to leave a message w/ one of the nurses to call me tomorrow a.m. I wanted to tell her that I changed my mind and want to attempt 1 more IUI before going for IVF. I figured she would explain to my RE and see what his thoughts are... also, then I could find out what dose they would move me up to and I could order the meds in head of time. We will see.... Cheri predicted March as my find out/conceive time so maybe it will work. But if not, then I think 4 attempts would be enough in my mind to say ok, go ahead w/ IVF. EKOORB, Welcome! Well your on your 2ww... hope it goes smooth (waiting period) for you. I have not been bad on my 2ww but there are many that have that urge to test early (which I totally understand). Good luck, and yes let us know what lingo you are wanting explained and one of us can help. GOSIA, you are right the most dominent one(s) release and the other just lay behind. They don't release they just empty during ovulation and disinagrate unless you are unfortunate like me a few times and they turn to cysts. Good, maybe the large follies are what you needed and they will work for you this month! The progesterone made my nip hurt also when I was on it. It gave me false hope but then eveyone's body is different. I hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day! Talk to you soon!

Chele I looked it up last night and found 3 different types of sperm washing. The 1st is a basic which takes 20-40 min. the 2nd is also with the spinning but it uses several types and layers of solution to seperate it even more, it removes dead sperm cells and stuff like that and takes 60 min. The 3rd is called a sperm swim I think, they put something in with the sperm that attracts them and they suck out the strongest most aggressive swimmers and takes 2 hrs. So I wonder if they use the 2nd or 3rd technique for you. I picked up my HCG shot and I'm all set to go I just need to O. How is everyone else doing?

Have any of you been tested for Celiac disease? I just read and article about an RE that I saw for sonohystogram about Celiac Disease and unexplained infertility. It's also known to cause m/c's. I looked it up and I have like 90% of the symptoms so I'm going to see if I can get tested. Just thought you ladies might want to get tested if you haven't already had it done. I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!!

Hi Sasha, thanks for reading up on it.... very interesting. Yes, it is the 3rd one that they have always done for us. No, I have not heard of it but I will look it up and read in to it. So, when does it look like you will be taking the HCG? I should have my Gonal-F pens and Ovidrel sent to me tomorrow and then it's off to waiting for af. Wouldn't it be nice if it just happened naturally this cycle... one can dream :0) It look's like af should come around 2/2 but w/ the meds from the month before could give or take 2 days. I wonder where everyone has been... I'm wondering how Tinks & GoGo's IVF cycle is going? What about you Gosia, how are you?

I'm on cd 13 and my OPK's are getting darker so I think I'll get a surge tomorrow, at least that's what I'm hoping for. I'm starting to get a lot of twinges and a few other signs that it's going to happen very soon. They are going to test me for Celiac disease, hopefully they'll do it the day of my IUI. How are you doing otherwise?

Hi everyone. I'm looking to join a group here, and I think this is the one for me. I hope you don't mind, but this one is VERY long LOL, so I'll start a new thread "IUI February", and post there. :-)

Hello . Not much happening with me . It's a waiting game for me. I will have to wait another week before AF shows up. I don't have any signs. Nipples are sensitive but it's due to progesterone. They started to to be like that right after the ovulation and the first pill.Sasha, good luck with iui. I will have to read on the Celiac disease. Chele, I am hoping you will suprise us this month. JG, welcome to the thread.

Hello again, thank you for welcoming me Sasha and Chelle. Well, tomorrow will be one week since I had my first IUI. This past week all I have done is question every single feeling in my body. Am I nausious,?Do I feel more tired than usual? Or, what was that tingling in my belly ??? I find myself extreme surfing ( on the web) to find answers to try and find out.... am I? Or, am I not? So, I had the day off today due to the holiday and I spent a good majority of my day obsessing over this tww and then I thought, It is what it is... It is what it is... I can't become more or less pregnant by obsessing over it. I have spent too much time doing that. So, I decided for me and all of you, although I have not activly participated, I have been following your stories for some time now and I have decided to do what is more useful for me....Stay positive...enjoy each day as if it might be my last.... and stop rushing it away because I can't wait to here those oh so longed for words..."your pregnant". I think more than anything else us ladies need some peace. That's what I wish for myself and all of you....

I'll post on the new thread since this one is so long. Hope everyone else follows.
