Sashap, welcome and hello! I'm so sorry to here about the pervious m/c's, but you know that you are able to get pregnant (step 1), hopefully now they will be able to monitor and control what was causing them. I have a good feeling that we all will get bfp's this time around!

Hi Everyone and welcome Sasha, Not much happening here but wait another week for the ultrasound. The fact that some of you got pregnant with IUI gives me so much hope. Sasha and Slowpoke, wishing you lots of luck this time. It is a busy time for me at work. I work in retail and Xmas season is crazy. At least the time gors by fast. I wonder which one of us will be the lucky one with great news.
Take care. Margret

Hi all, I'm glad to find this thread!

I'm on my second IUI cycle with Gonal F and Ovidrel. My first cycle ended in AF about 2 days before I was due for the beta.

I just had my 2nd IUI this morning; I had 9 follies ranging from 17/18 to 12/13 at my last ultrasound on Monday. So I'm crossing my fingers! Yesterday I had stabbing pains in my right ovary; tonight I had a sharp stabbing pain in my left.

Beta is scheduled for 12/19 :D

Thanks ladies!! They did know the reason for my m/c's so at least I did get an answer and I also tested postive for mthfr clotting disorder so that may of contributed to them. So I'm on the right stuff now to treat it so hopefully I'll carry to term the next time. Slowpoke did you lose your tube or did they catch it early enough? I know we both posted to the women that thought infertility treatments were creepy and unnatural. Af is do tomorrow and my temp has started to drop so i'm getting there. I just can't wait to get started!!

SASHA-no i told my ob that something wasnt right and he told me not to worry then i started spotting and bleeding and still he told me not to worry so i kept telling him that it was right and he did 2 vaginal u/s and could not find a sac. well like 3 days after the last u/s i had pain so bad in the right side that i couldnt walk. i called him aagain and instead of having me come in he told me to call the specialist that did the iui. so i did and the specialist told me that it was a good thing that i listened to my body and was able to get the methotrexate shots so that i didnt lose my tube. needless to say if i get pregnant again ai will be finding another ob/gyn. i really liked this guy but it was like he didnt want to tell me any bad news so he left it up to someone else so i wont use him again. which i am sure that if i get pregnant again then the specialist will want to keep a close eye on me for a little while so i will be covered and have time to look for an ob/gyn. actually i will not even use the hospital that the other ob works at because of the way he did me. i could have bled to death, lost a tube, got an infection, or anything and he wasnt even interested when i told him that something was wrong. i thought that they were supposed to pay attention to their patients but he didnt. it will be alright though, i will find someone who will listen to what i have to say..lol..take care all and have a great day.

I don't blame you for changing Dr's!! You are so lucky you didn't lose a tube or worst your life!! I don't understand why they think we are just being paranoid. The only good thing about infertility is that you learn a lot of things about your body and know whats normal and whats not. The first time I didn't have a clue until I started bleeding. The 2nd time I knew something was wrong and called my Dr and she had me come in for a beta immediately. She's great and trusts my judgement. Maybe you should find a woman OB I think they are much more understanding. Do you have any signs of af yet?

Hi Gogotrigger, It seems like you and I are around the same schedule w/ IUI's. I also had cramping pains the 1st IUI (but they were light), and then the 2nd IUI (yesterday) which were stronger and throughout the whole day. Knowing that you also had similiar feelings makes me feel better.... I was a little worried. It seems that you had good size follies for the IUI, the larger ones look like the would range from 22-24 by today. Good luck to you! I'll say a prayer for you. Sashap, hopefully now that they know the issue you will fall pregnant this time around and carry to term, wouldn't that be wonderful! Slowpoke01, OMG! I feel terrible for you, that is absolutely obsurd what your doctor did! I don't blame you for looking for another doctor. Take care everyone.... pray for bfp's!!!

hey girls how is everyone today. well i called the RE's office today to talk about starting this cycle. i need to make sure that they are going to be open the friday before christmas (the 22nd) because if i figured up everything right then i should have iui sometime that week. anyway, i am glad that i figured out how my doc was before i was in a delivery room..lol..i am at peace with the idea of switching docs. i love my re though. he listens to me and knows when i say something is wrong then something is wrong. the only reason that i was using that ob/gyn is because my sister used him with both her pregnancies. then she just told me about 2 weeks ago that he talked her into not using pain meds with either one of them, and i know that she was telling them that she needed something for pain when my neice was born and they told her that it was too late and that she would have to wait until afterwards to get it. but it only took 15 minutes to deliver my neice so she said after that she really didnt need anything for pain. my nephew though she was in labor hard for like 4 hours and i think they should have given her pain medication because she was in terrible pain. she said that he is one that doesnt believe in pain meds so i wouldnt like that. i may start out saying i dont want it but if i change my mind then i want them to respect that decision. SASHA- well no signs of a/f yet. the past couple of cycles i really havent had any signs that she was coming until i went to the bathroom. the last few cycles i have had alot of bleeding but not really any cramping or bloating or anything like that. so who knows. i hope that a/f hurries up so that i can get started with this cycle..lol CHELE-i also had cramping with my 2nd iui. the first i had no cramping at all and i got a bfn the 2nd i had alot of cramping at first and then nothing so i thought for sure that a/f was on her way since i had no signs at all except that my boobs felt like they were on fire. they were so hot to the touch and i was so tired so i just thought that a/f was coming because everyone else that i was talking to at the time that got +'s had so many signs like morning sickness and everything i i didnt have anything. i was bummede out and then got the + and was so excited only to have to terminate. that was really hard.. since i knew something was wrong a week before i had done my grieving. dh was so upset though and still is. he keeps saying if this cycle doesnt work then that is it, but i know that he will change his mind because he really wants a baby too..lol..he is just trying to be tough. well take care all and have a great day. good luck

GoGo Trigger - December 8

Hi Chele! 3 days post IUI (I had it Tues & Wedn) so I'm just starting the 2WW. Sometimes it seems to take forever and sometimes it is bearable! Glad to hear that you also had "cramping"....I guess that's what I'll call these sharp stinging pains. They didn't last long at all, in any case. With my last IUI, I think I had very sore boobs within a few days, and very tender nipples. This time they were sore on the sides but nothing like last time (and much smaller so far too!). Strange how you feel differently month to month.

SashaP - December 8

Af was due today and I still have no signs of it. I wish it would hurry up so I can start clomid. If af comes today or tomorrow my IUI will be the 21 or 22 I don't want it to happen on x-mas day. They said they would do it but I don't want to piss off the Dr that's going to be poking me. Slow we'll be around the same day. How many dpiui did you find out last time? I found out 15 the first and 13 the 2nd and both times I knew I was pg at 9dpiui just by the way I was feeling. chele and GoGo how are you feeling?

Cooper5450 - December 8

Hello Everyone... Just thought that I would join the thread. I just had my 2nd IUI yesterday. I am hoping that this works because DH and I have been ttc for what seems like an eternity. In actuality is has been 2 years. I would love to hear everyone's stories and how everything is going. I feel like every pang I feel something is going on. Does anyone feel some cramping after the IUI? My DH said that he saw some blood on the catheter when my RE was done. My RE also told me to expect some spotting but so far nothing. Just a little cramping. Wishing everyone Good Luck and that we all see BFP in the near future!!!

Hi everyone! Slowpoke01, wow I don't know if I could mange w/o anytime of med's, I'm a chicken somewhat!haha My sister wanted them, but both of my nephews came so fast that it was too late to give her anything. I hope this works for you this time around, and I'm sure your dh is just frusturated w/ the whole let down each month, I go through that but hopefully things will work out and you won't have to have the discussion of moving on to the next step. GoGo Trigger, wow you and I are on the exact same schedule then. I did my IUI's on Tues and Wed as well. This will be great to see what each of us is experiencing... even though they say not everyone has the same symptoms. When did the RE say you could test? Today I went in for a blood test and for the test checking if I did indeed ovulate (I did) and she told me 14 days after the day I gave myself the Ovidrel, so that means count the first IUI as day 1. Just wondering what they told you. I have to say that I left the office feeling so positive because the nurse told me that everything is perfect or better (lining, collapsed follicles, etc..) but I was in training the rest of the day and on my way home noticed I had a voice message on my phone.... The nurse just said the doctor would like you to call early next week to make a 1/2 hr appt w/ him to discuss your clomophine Challenge Test..... To me that means, there's something wrong. I'm scared and of course now I have to wait through the whole weekend wondering what is going on... The only thing I'm confused about is that you do the first test on day 3 (my seemed to be fine) then day 11 was when the other one was done (Monday).... he looked at my results to determine if I was ready for IUI and gave me the go ahead, so why now? I did have blood drawn today but that is not the CCT bloodwork. Does anyone else have any ideas of what he might be thinking or had the same thing happen? Yep, I had consistent pains/twitching on Tuesday, then Wed afte the 2nd one they were stronger. Thursday I was fine and today I just have intermitent twitches/pain but nothing big. Hmmm, I also had sore boobs w/ my 1st IUI in Oct but nothing so far. SashaP, you are funny! Hey they get paid extra out of your pockets (at least at my office) for coming in for 1/2 hr so I wouldn't feel to bad.haha Cooper5450, welcome! That's great, you on about the same schedule as GoGoTrigger and myself. Throwing lots of baby dust at all of you!!! Keep thinking positive!

SashaP - December 10

Well Af finally came this morning!! So if a calculated right it will be either the 23-24 for my IUI. I don't mind weekend IUI's but they do charge an extra $30. Chele does insurance cover your IUI's at all? Mine is all out of pocket. How is everyone's weekend going?

bina - December 10

Hello ladies~I thought I would pop back in and say hello. I had my IUI (round 2) yesterday. She said it was a good insemination, so that gives me hope. I'm worried though because I had 2 nice size follies on my right side and my right tube is blocked, so I'm hoping the left tube will somehow pick it up. I had my hcg trigger on Friday. How early do people usually test with the trigger shot? I tested last cycle at 10dpo and it was out of my system. I hope these 2 weeks go fast! Good luck to everyone! sticky babydust!

chele - December 10

Hi Sashap, that is great! I'm sure it will be a little hectic running around on Christmas Eve to have the IUI, but also I think it's terrific because what better time to ask for a blessing but then Christmas Eve/Christmas day!! For me they charge me out of my pocket $60 for a Sunday or Holiday visit but when you want something as bad as we all do then the $60 seems worth it. I'm excited for you! Yes, I am very fortunate that our BCBS covers Infertility... I do have $26 copay office visits, I have to pay for the amount I mentioned above if I come in on a Sun or Holiday, and I had to pay out of pocket for the Injection class but other then that, they thankfully cover the IUI's, bw, u/s, washing of sperm, etc... I read so many stories of people having to pay for 95% of all this out of pocket, and I feel terrible for them. I know some people go in debt, have to borrow, etc. and I know how expensive this all gets, especially those doing IVF.... I just feel that insurances should cover a good portion of this, as it's what I refer to as out of you hand illness, no of us asked for the problems were experiencing, it just not seem fair. Bina, hello! I hope it works for you. There must be a change, as I don't think your RE would have you do the IUI if he didn't think it was possible. Keep your fingers crossed! I was always told to wait past the 10 days so you don't get a false reading. Praying for all of us to become mommy's this time around!!!
