Good Luck angelkitty...

Hello all, i am from the Triad area! I am 26 dh is 32. I don't have an infertility problem that i know of- well my dr said "keep ttc until the EOY and if your not pregnant by then we can check for infertility" We have been ttc for 3 months and nothing yet! I never thought it would be sooo hard- all my friends had their babies unplanned but it seems like when you plan and are prepared in life it becomes impossible. how long has everyone been trying and how did you find out there was a problem- if you don't mind me asking...

Beardtl...I know what you mean about the planning....we never thought it would be this hard to get preg,....I just found out after a year of trying that my cervix was closed...had hsg done 2 wks ago....praying to be preg

angelkitty, i pray you are too. With a closed cervix do they anticipate a high risk pregnancy or birth. I've just never heard of a closed cervix. I would assume during your yearly exams they would have been able to detect this. you know its frightful what isn't detected during your yearly exams. I think dr's should reevaluate what is being tested during your paps.

angelkitty, today is Saturday...any news? Tibby, any news on your front? i have been checking to see how you gals are doing. i hope having success. beardtl, we tried for over a year and then got help. Lucky717, dod you have you HSG done?

Well I will take my hcg shot sometime tonight. Last month they gave me one prefilled Ovidrel shot to take. This time they gave me two. I dont think I had that many mature follicles this time. I'm so glad more people are starting to come to this thread. So how is everyone?

No, there are no concerns of a high risk pregnancy...My doc is just ready for me to get preg. I think I have driven him and his nurse crazy!! :o) I talked about this on another thread...I read a book called the conceptions chronicles...great read...made me laugh my butt off!! Also saw a great movie tonight called Facing the Giants....it offered hope to what we are going through....it is a MUST SEE movie!!

Hi Tibby -- Sorry I've been out of touch. We went on vacation to the Outer Banks all last week and this was our first week back at work. Such a crazy week.

I am on cd26. I am in the 2ww. Can't test for another 10 days. My cycles have become 36 days long. Yes the clomid hot flashes are the worst. I am switching to Femara if we haven't conceived this cycle.

Lynn -- Yes I have had an HSG done. The actual procedure did not hurt at all. I was so surprised. However immediately after it the cramps were pretty strong. I almost threw up and passed out. I just went home and slept it off that day.

Anyway that's all on my end. Hoping for a BFP this month!!!

Hi Ladies, My DH and I have 3 wonderful children DD 7, DD 5, and DS 3. We had another DD 03/11/06 @ 38 weeks and she was still born due to cord intanglement. We have been TTC again since April of this year, and it's just not working for some reason. I am on CD23 right now and hoping for a BFP. I will test in the am 10dpo and then again on 12dpo. If not I will start Clomid on the 20th. I am having cramping in my tummy (not painful just uncomfortable) and my nips are terribly sore, headaches, frequent urination, starving it seems, I hope this is it and so does DH. I don't want to take Clomid but will on the 20th if necessary...Oh we live in Clayton.

Hi Tenk - You are sooo blessed to have 3 children. Wow. I can't imagine having 3 when I can't even have one successfully. Sorry about your still born. You are brave to start trying again. Best of luck to you.

Hang in there. Try not to be too down. You are lucky to have three children that are probably the sunshine of your life.

Hey Ladies! I'm from Charlotte, and am currently on IUI cycle #2. I go to the Women's Institute at Carolina's Medical Center. I just had my HCG shot (IM) this morning.. it didn't hurt, but my goodness... I'm sore now!!! Anyone else had this problem? I think it was Noverelle.... Last month I took Ovidrel, but this time my dr. wanted me to take the intramuscular shot (said it was supposed to be better)... I just didn't have any of this kind of pain with the Ovidrel. I hope that this is our month. We have been trying since April '05. My DH is 28 and I'm 27. I'm so happy that there is a thread just for Carolina Girls!!

Hi Tibby and welcome newbies!! Carolina girls are the best. =) Well no news for me. I am in the nasty 2ww. I did a pg test today just to see and of course it was a BFN. I am supposed to have AF visit on Tues. Maybe it was too early.

When should I opt to see a RE? Is it crazy expensive? Does insurance cover the visits? What about the injectables? Are they covered by insurance and if not what do they run?

Welcome Nikki78. I take ovidrel (2 shots) and the day after my ovary hurt so bad. Lucky717 our cycle so the same my tww will be up the 17th. They say you should wait at least 1 year, but after for cycles on clomid and still no bfp I would opt to see one. I have bcbs indiv. plan and the doctor vist are $30., Med (covers injectables) are no more than $50 for 30 day supply($10,$35,or $50). If your wanten to do iui it $357 and u/s are $105 each. So are any of you ladies going to the state fair? My dh doesn't ride, rides he just goes to play them games that are so hard to win any thing, I just go for the food. So I'm not going to take a hpt until Tues. so any bad news will not interfear with me having fun on Monday. I'm taking my sisters kids, her son is 6 and he is more than a hand full he's lieble to get lost....lol..... But I hope you ladies have a good cold (lol) weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o) #o)
