That is wacked. Seriously, I can totally believe it though. All you need is one sperm, fast one, to reach the egg. Actually, the washed sperm doesn't last as long (for IUIs) than compared with untreated sperm with normal relations, so if she has really good fertile mucous that can draw those suckers into her cervix and uterus, I don't see why this hokey system wouldn't work. Of course, it would never work for us women, who have done everything and anything to try to get pregnant! Life is not fair. (just a thought, maybe gay sperm is more potent?) J/K.

i agree , about washed sperm and you cant believe what my dr did last time! i drove like crazy at 8 am to his office gave the sperm and he said come for iui at 5 pm !!! 9 hours after !!!! no wonder why we didnt get pg last 3 times ! im going to c new one ! GOOD LUCK LINDS ! i saw you are in 2ww !

Wow, that is such a long time to wait! Your doctor is absolutely wrong to wait that long after to do the insem. His motives might be money. I see no other reason to wait that long. It is not like they are freezing it for later, those suckers start to die right away, that is why they say do do it about 1 hour after the wash. Yes, I am in the dreadful 2ww, test in about four days, but can't say I think it happened this time. Where are you in your cycle?

yes he was only after $$$$ i even believe he did all 3 iUi after i ovulted ! he just did u/s no blood or opk! im just waitting he send me all my fils back then im gone write nice letter to some one above him ! im cd 3 af came few days late cus i had booster hcg ! my boobs they were so big last few days that i had to hold them while moving fast or runing ! got new appt dec7 in between gone try our self ! but im really really sad and mad ! did you take med? how long is that you are trying ? where are you in your cycle?

I would totally write that doctor/hospital a very poignant letter about his outrageously flawed insemination techniques. The idea is to optimize fertilization, this seems like a complete idiot operating the wheel. After the second failed IUI, he should have at least did blood tests checking to make sure everything would be synchronized, and an ultrasound never hurts either to confirm that the egg actually left the darn ovary! Gosh, I hate doctors sometimes. Does that booster shot really make your boobs sore? I had the regular HCG shot about 10 days ago and started having boob pain today. (I did 100 mg Clomid CD 5-9, HCG, Metformin, and 2 IUIs with 5 mature follicles on the right ovary and doing Crinone every night since then.) But really, this all sounds good, but I'm still feeling terribly pessimistic about it. I read more women who get pregnant don't have any sore boobs (which I think is PMS for me) until about a week or two after their period was due. I've been ttc for 12 months. (October was our 1 year mark, not a happy milestone I might add.) I have a blood test on friday. After this failed cycle is confirmed, I'm looking into IVF the next cycle I do medicated. Clomid has thinned out my endometrial lining too much, I respond to it very well in terms of follicles, but something I think is off.

that idiot is me ! i believed him! funny that last 2 iui i had ovulation cramp just right b4 i get my hcg but he even didnt bother todo u/s b4 iui to make sure ! well thast why some of them are very rich! but this one!!! i wont give up untill i whow his real ugly face to every one ! i had s bbs with my first hcg second one just made it more sore ! your cycle sounds good to me you made 5 ! that sounds great but i know about not feeling super + ! i really do hope this cycle is the one but if 1% not you do smart thing by looking at ivf ! i had to start clomid today but i wont im afraid of it ps; why should i when i O on my own! i dont get how some can become dr ! let me know how things r go with you . good luck.;)

Really, you are not the idiot...he's the one with all the tools and is not using them appropriately. I think you should take the clomid today, the more follicles you produce and mature earlier in the cycle, you increase your chances. The whole idea about clomid is to get timed ovulation and better quality ovulation. Are you starting on 50 mg? Who knows, this may be the magic potion for you. tanks i really needed some suport! i still have time to start clomid but i hate them IM AFRAID TO TAKE ANY PILL i even dont take any when i have pain! i heard that clomid make you dry if that how thoses swimers can find their way? i have good cm and i feel when i O i still have few hours to think about clomid! do you O on your own ? how many eggies did you have with 50 mg clomid?

I ovulated on my own every month, but clomid actually sped up the time I ovulated to a normal day like CD 14 instead of 20. No, clomid didn't really dry me out, I still felt wet, but I think the mucous was thicker. When I took 50 mg, I developed 4 mature eggs. One popped, but I didn't get pregnant. I say try clomid, it may be what does the trick for you. Many women just need better quality ovulation, and clomid does that.
