Hey girls thanks for listening. Unfortunately with law enforcement our position must be manned 24/7 so they dont need to give us breaks trust us we looked in to it. Anyway this is the way its been and its getting worse because noone wants to stay here. Jason said today just try and hang on for a little while then we will see what happens. I'm BACK! My neck still hurts and thank yous to all you caring girlfirends I have! I plan on resting up, I have to cover for myself and supervisor Monday - not good. I would be filing a grievance (sp) Also, readjusting to shifts is such a pain in the ass, lol I hated it when dh and I were on the road. we'd sleep from 10-6 or try because we worked from 9-6/8 and our nights off were ok, but we always did our traveling during the day so the one-nighters were tough and we did a lot of those. Oh and don't get me wrong - I love a standard over an auto anyday, just aggrevates my neck...it's the car model - I have long legs and the company car is a hyndai accent (that lil egg lookin thingie) and the seat has to be so far back that even with the back all the way up I lean right to shift so it creates havoc on my neck. Whn this initially happened back in June or something I thought it was my shoulder (I knew it was the car which is why I now use an auto) but as it turned out I have a bad disc or two. Stands to reason as I have had neck trauma in the past ie car accidents and patient reactions. Ok I am rambling now and starving myself - I need brain food! Hello ladies: thanks for the reassuring words. I know I'm 3 weeks early here but I'm ready to be done with all of this. I finally got a diaper bag packed and have the changing area, and the carseat ready so if something happens we'll at least be able to bring it home and survive for a little while! Its miserable weather here...cold and raining all day. Weve got tons of flooding around here so I'm starting to get the gray dolldrums. Katt- I'm still able to shave my legs in the shower because I can just put my foot up on the side of the tub but this works for only my calves. I have had to give up baths because I can't get myself back out of the tub. I suppose I could do it if my dh was home, but I haven't tried lately. Robyn- sounds like a miserable situation. Interesting how they expect so much but offer so little when something arises for you, that you even gave them plenty of advance warning about. I remember many a Thanksgiving bringing food down to my Dad because he was the detention manager at the county juivinile (sp?) detention center. Stick to your gun so to speak and do whatever you have to do for you and your family. Jen - I hope you hear back soon about the job. Fingers crossed for you. Brooke - the pedicure was great...I got them painted a lovely shiny pink...maybe next time I should alternate with some blue? You know, I may need an update with everybody's screen name vs. real names...some people are returning to us (yeah!!!) and I want to make sure I know who everybody is. Evening ladies. Katt I am sorry that you are in pain. Is it a degenerative disc desease or is it a herniation or a bulging disc. We have these new decompression machines in New York (I say New York because they are very expensive and there are very few of them) Its a table with sensors and stuff, very futuristic, and what they do is stretch out your spine. I have herniations with impingement on the spinal cord and my only choice right now is a decompression surgery. Right, like I will let them touch my spine. I will definately invest in some sessions with the machine, but they are expensive. I think it runs about 120-150 per session. My boss has been suffering with chronic back pain for years (he rides a Harley) he went through 3 sessions and hasn't been in pain in weeks. I will definately get you the name of the machine and the link to some info on it. Jen when will you hear from the job? good luck. Melissa I hope you are having a great time with your mom. How is your dad doing? Leslie that's funny that Katt asked about shaving. I only used to shave once in two weeks during my last trimester. I was getting induced, so the night before I shaved my legs and the bikini area (mind you I spent an hour in the shower). I was as bald as a baby. After I gave birth my husband asked me "did they shave you?". I was laughing so hard. Men are so silly. I guess he thought it's still the 60's when they used to shave women in the hospitals. LOL. I am glad that you got your pedicure. Gayle, I am glad that you are fine. I hope you got your nap. Rhonda and Jamie, thank you for the e-mails. Robyn, I hope that you have had a chance to relax. i finally got my nap when she took hers. I was so grumpy and so was she. Then we went to my sisters house for a play date. Oh i had an epidural too. It was great. I will definatly do it again. hope everyone has a good night.

Mommy2josh my dad is doing so much better - he las lost a lot of wait from the surgery which he likes, haha! How did your appt go?? Well i'm at work today not fun! Im trying an accupuncture the 1st, however my insurance covers it but not if its for infertility? So what do i do? Tell the accupucnturist just to do it for relaxation?

Well I did the math...In the last 9 months when this thread began we have had 38 fine women join us (better add on a few just in case) Out of those 38, 26 of us are still activeon some level or mentioned regularly. Of those 26, 9 are pregnant! Out of 38, 11 are pregnant. So I am no good at fractions or story problems and am unable to figure the percentage of likelihood for our next positive, lol. holy hell - I have been paged to work...ggggrrr... better go see what they want. I did all the laundery yesterday so I'd be free today and what happens... my pager goes off! I hate on call so bad!

Melissa, so glad you dad is better. My appointment went ok. Had all the ultrasounds today and had my blood drawn. I will get the results on thursday. The u/s technician kind of freaked me out. She was doing a u/s of my kidneys and asked me "is anything bothering you? I mean is anything hurting>" so I said no and asked if I should be hurting. She just asked me to turn. Anyway. Well I just got back about 30min ago... ugh. Dh is getting in the shower for the grocery trip. Man I got the shakes... dunno what's up. I hadn't really eaten anything substantial since last night at 7pm, lol and I just had BK - I am sure that was a healthy choice as my shakes aren't gone. hmm? Oh well, dh said I look ill...i feel like a truck hit me! All those hours of rest and I could go right back to seep!! Messed up - you'd think I was pg, haha. Hey girls, checking in getting ready for work in a little while. Well... my supervisor apologized to me last night and said she shouldnt have acted that way to me. So Monday they have me out sick leave. So I told her I just dont like being given the 3rd degree when you guys have had plenty of notice. Its not my problem that no one wants to work here and I will not give up my life to this place. So its done and there always will be another time. So anyway I need to read all your posts. We went and measured our windows today in the bedroom to have Plantation shutters made for our room its gonna take 6 weeks. But I wanted my room to be black in the morning I hate daylight when I am trying to sleep and then we went to a frame store to get some paintings framed from our honeymoon in Key West and to my Jewish friends our Ketubah from the wedding. (its a marriage contract) its beautiful and says all our vows in hebrew and english. Well hello to all of you I will try and read up on the posts at work tonite LUV YA ALL.
