wow you ladies are quick!! Seems like I just posted. LSB, hang in there. Maybe, your body for some reason processes it faster. If you have a fast metabolism, that may do it. Everyone's body process meds at a different rate. Maybe your's is super efficient! Hang in there. There is an amazing book called "the fertility cure" it is all about acupuncture, chinese herbs and natural things. Pick it up and give it a read. NC you should ask your Dr about femara. I know when I decide to take the next step that will be the drug I explore. Clomid gave me a cyst and I didn't respond well. Just food for thought. Let's all rub our bellies for a little love and luck!!

LSB-I agree w/ jcr about the shot and it not showing positive, I sort of said the same thing. I think if its something thats really going to bother you, call the RE and s/w the nurse to give yourself some peace of mind. I would, it would bug me!

LSB - December 29

Thanks everyone for your comments on the test. I called the nurse and she said not to go by that because sometimes the over-the-counter tests aren't sensitive enough and that the test that they do is a 3 step process and she is sure that it would be detected on theirs. That is why I have to wait 16 days. She was so nice about it and put my mind totally at ease. Now I can relax a little! Sometimes I can be so anal, lol.

jcr - December 29

LSB, I am glad you spoke to your RE, I know I would over analyze it as well. It is the waiting that gets me crazy! I swear I start to over think everything from heartburn to sore toes! yeeesh! I keep trying not to get my hopes up, but I guess we all know how that goes. Hang in there everyone!

CC - December 29

Glad you called LSB. I figured there had to be a reasonable explanation. Glad you are feeling better about it. The ttc stuff can really start to weigh you down after so long. Wouldnt that be great if this was a lucky thread and we all got pregnant in December ?! The waiting makes me crazy too jcr. I constantly wonder if I should be feeling something by now, if its too soon, if I am implanting is it now?! Ugh.

in NC - December 30

LSB...I always take the HcG shot (except when I am taking a break) and the last time I was pregnant, it did not show on HPT at cd26 so I waited until cd35 and it was pos. My RE says 14 days after shot they will test via blood. It is surprising how we all get some of the same info adn then different. I did ask my new RE about conflicting info. his response was how different doctors are educated. Makes sense I guess. I am like y'all guess if that tinge I felt means something. I even analyze how my boobs feel. Gosh we go to great lengths and my hubby thinks I am crazy sometimes. Oh well...happy thoughts for 2006. Until tomorrow.

Tracy - December 30

Thanks LSB and CC. It was strange because even today I thought I felt some ovarian sensations! Who knows. It's like all of you say, we start to pay such close attention to our bodies that we look for signs in everything. I'm not gonna think too much into the ovulation thing because every month seems to be different anyway and I think I was expecting different and got paranoid when things didn't feel as i thought they would. You guys have no idea how much I appreciate your presence. Dust.....

LSB - December 30

Thanks to everyone for putting up with my momentary insanity. Last month I hardly thought about it at all, and this month every single minute of every single day I am obsessing, and I still have a ways to go. CC - my fingers and toes are crossed that this is a lucky thread for all of us and we end up with a BFP! Thanks again to all of you for waiting it out together with me.

jcr - December 30

What a wonderful thread!! I want to tell all you ladies how nice you all sound. I am sure that we are all headed towards bfp's in the near future! Here I am analyzing it all too. hummm sore bbs, tired and feeling yucky, temps still up higher than usual ... all signs of psycotic behavior!!! I went and got an early response hpt, now if I can just hold out a few days. Yeeesh. Here's to resisting the stick!!! Belly rubs for luck!

in NC - December 30

jcr...what are you doing giving into the pressure???haha...I have been tempted but hubby works nights and if he sees me come in with a HPT before Jan. he will flip and tease me for not waiting. FYI..I have purchased the HPT from the dollar tree and they work good also not to mention it is only a $1.00 a test. That is how bad my obsession was getting. When I went for my HSG test, a girl told me about them. Here is wishing for some BFP people in 2006.

LSB - December 30

Good morning everyone! How is everybody today? Not much going on with me today. I am watching my friends two kids because her doctor has her on bedrest for the next 4 weeks, so I thought I would give her a break to get some "real" rest. My hubby is so cute, he wants to keep the kids until my friend delivers. When my friend said "I don't think so", Hubby was actually disappointed! We both really miss having kids around! We used to be foster parents. (We are also adoptive parents - but that is a long story). But, when the last kids left (we had them for over a year), it really broke our hearts (and theirs) to see them leave. So, we decided to take a break from it. I hope everyone is plugging along. Throwing out baby dust to ALL!!

CC - December 30

LSB, what a great gift you must have given so many w/ the foster parenting. I think thats a really special thing to do. jcr-you are going to cave sooner then later with a HPT in your house!! I have no self restraint anymore, its awful. I just can not have them anywhere close to me, or I will use them. My hand becomes out of body and wont stop, and then I get disapointed when the result isnt what I am looking for. I just wont do that to myself anymore unless I hit cd 30. But-WHEN you test, let us know!!! I think your signs sound good, and the high temps are best of all. As for me, I got up again last night to go to the bathroom (2 nights in a row now) and really need to figure out if its just me drinking too much water before bed, or if in my deranged brain, I can call it a sign. Bbs arent sore at all, its weird on the Clomid, sometimes they are sore for weeks, and sometimes not. Some small cramping when I was up this morning to go to the bathroom, but thats it. Darn. I will find more as the days pass. Its the last day of 2005, and I for one am ready for a new year, a fresh start, and to leave all of the awful tests and bad ttc memories behind..Anyone have exciting plans for New Years Eve ? Last year dh and I stayed home and it was really nice. Hadnt stayed home in years..This year we are going to small party w/ some other couples. Where does everyone live ? Im in CA...Until later...

jcr - December 30

I caved cc and took it last night!! bfn, but I really think it way too early. I am cd36, I think I eithr ovulated cd 25 or cd30. My cycles tend to be around 40-45 days. So I have a few days to wait. temps are down slightly, but had a restless night, so we'll see tomarrow. I am not holding out much hope for this month, as you can tell I am not sure when or even if I am ovulating. It is really frusterating. I am going to start probably ferama, and try cd 1-5 next month. Clomid 100mg+1500 metformin didn't help me ovulate at all, so I am just guessing all the time. aarg! CC, I too am in CA, Santa Monica area-where are you. LSB, how are you holding up? It's great to think that you helped so many children. You touched and changed a life with each child you took into your home. What a wonderful gift! NC I think my husband has just learned to say yes dear!! I never tell him when or if I test. I think he can tell by my mood swing! LOL, if he only knew how much I spent on opks and hpts, he would be able to afford that new Astin Martin coming out!!!!! Gotta run, it is all too quiet in my living room, usually means Daughter is up to something!!

CC - December 30

OHHH!! jcr-I knew it!! I too think it was too early for you as well. It would be really frustrating to not know when you O'd or if you did. I guess w/ all the monitoring I get w/ the Clomid, its sort of a re-assurance, and about 7 months ago I broke the bank and bought the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor. It was 200.00 but I had a lot of friends use it with success, and it came highly recomended. The OPK's seem really confusing for a lot of people, and it seems most have a problem trying to read the sticks, and the monitor just takes all the guess work out of it. Although it hasnt helped me get pregnant, I do know when and if I O, and I was relieved to see that my Dr would give me the same info as the monitor when I got ultrasounds while taking the Clomid. I dont tell my dh when I test or am late, he can also tell by my moods and always seems to know where I am at in my cycle towards the end. I guess after buying the monitor and the test sticks, I slowed down on my consumption of HPT's, except for the cheapies, because I had already invested so much into the other stuff. Last cycle that I actually tested on a HPT was a few months ago, so I have to pat myself on the back for showing at least a little restraint! jcr, we are close...I am on the boarder of Orange County and LA county, in a tiny city between Huntington Beach and Seal Beach called Sunset Beach. I work from home, so I am on the computer/internet all day it seems...Talk later..

jcr - December 30

I have thought about buying the clearblue monitor. Maybe I'll have to invest!! It is the same as 10 opk tests, which add up fast with me. I use them like candy!! I love the Target off the Seal Beach exit!! I go to Irvine once a week to take Ryley to swim lessons. I hope to move down there by next year at this time. It is so much less congested and slower than it is up here in LA! Do you have an RE that you like? Mine is in the Valley, and I have put off using her due to Acupuncture experment. But Jan is the month to go hardcore!

in NC - December 30

hey girls...I live in NC a small town south of Greensboro. LSB...I acutally just talked to my husband about being foster parents. I have been reading up on it and have some contact with DSS due to being a teacher. I do not think he is totally on board with having them but the chance of the children leaving. I think if he gave it a shot, he might like it. jcr...I would have tested also. I think that is why i do nto have them in the house anymore either. CC..a friend of mine had the monitor and I borrowed it for over 8 months. No pregnancy from it but it did take the guess work out of everything. I only bought 1 OPK this month and then I O'd so who knows. It would be nice to tell hubby we were pregnant again but I would like to be able to tell him and know I was going to carry this one. The ectopic pregnancy took a toll. It was all so rushed (surgery) which he finally told me it scared him and he thought he was going to loose me on the operating table. I do not want to repeat that again. It was very scarey. Anyway...talk to y'all later. Thanks for listening
