yes Robyn its my first ivf and my clinic doesnt do a mock. My RE says that things inside move about so his system is that they do a ultrasound guided transfer so he sees what hes doing and he inserts something and gets it in place and then the embryologist gives him the loaded cartridge of embies and it fits right into this thing already in me and poof they go where they should. Thats the best way I can remember of what they told me. I hate the idea of having a full bladder for the transfer for the u/s guided part as I'm afraid i might pee on him but oh well I'm sure it wouldnt be the first time hhaha-night

oh by the way i know for sure the stims will bloat you as you start to grow lots of embies but i'm pretty sure lupron wont do anything to ya.

Hello Ladies - I went to the dr. today and officially started the meds for this ivf cycle - I also have to take baby aspirin, doxycycline , prenatals, plus lupron shots and some other drug i can't pronounce its another D word dexa something so a lot to take and remember!! My next appt is on Wednesday to see how my follies are growing - hopefully lots of them!! Pray for me!! Did you guys take all those meds too?? Also are you allowed to have like 1 drink while on the meds or none at all??? I'm leaving work early today since i'm hosting that southern living party tonight - should be fun!! These meds make me so bloated - I will try and drink lots of water!! Robyn we got hardwood floors in the foyer, living room, study and dining room - they do get dusty alot but i love them!! Robyn let me know on Monday what meds you will be taking and your schedule! I actually didnt get bloated at all from the lupron - i do know the injectible meds make me really bloated though! KDR i hope you find out soon whats causing those hives so you can get on your way!! There are a few of us starting up IVF for the 1st time this cycle - i know me, isa, robyn are doing ivf and mega is doing a fet this cycle so you have a lot of people going through this! Isa i have to wear something tight since i'm wearing a bridesmaid dress which is already not comfortable - i just dont want my belly sticking out - hopefully i can hide the bloatness! Wow the accupuncture sounds great - did it hurt all those needles?? Let me know how the conseling goes - i may do that also b/c this is a very stressful thing we are all going through. cmelissa good job. Im cd 3 on lupron, start gonal f cd3, then I also have the doxyclyine for an antibiotic before and after the retrieval and a couple days longer and then I will be on estrace, prometrium pills and progesterone suppositories. I've been on pretals for over 2 years. Accupuncture didnt hurt at all. The worst were the 2 in my ears but it only felt like he flicked my ear with his finger and then you feel nothing. The others I felt nothing. The counselling is part of our ivf fees and is mandatory to pay but not mandatory to go (but obviously highly recommended and you have to pay for it anyways whether you use it or not). She was fantastic and basically went over the whole procedure with us again and told dh what to expect of me while on the meds etc and then we discussed the 2ww and the options of ways of keeping buys and staying destressed etc. It was good. She also went over our individual concerns and as a couple with stuff we'd had to deal with to get to this point. It was about an hour long. Re drinking. My nurse said on Lupron ok, I might feel a bit different but probably no reaction but she said with the gonal f I will get an upset stomach and it wouldnt probably go together very well any ways. I am out tonight for a dinner /dance and I will have some drinks but once I start stimming I will drink no alcohol. It wont be hard for me I"m not much of a drinker (except patio nights in the summer after dh's ballgames but that is over now).I'm not sure what a southern living party is but it sure sounds good to me. I"m also jealous of all of you that get nice weather all year round.

hey girls, did a lot of packing and throwing a lot of crap out today 6 hours of it. Cant wait only 4 days to go and we move. I will check in Monday after the "mock" to let you all know how it went and what my protocol is. Have a great weekend all of you.

Hey Ladies - so isa are you starting the gonal f today? you said cd3?? Are you having to take baby aspirin too?? Hey ladies, thanks Melissa for advice I was gonna take something a little stronger than that!! I handled HSG with really no problem but then again I pretty much doped myself up for that one also. I just woke up will check in again.

Hello ladies.. Hope everybody had a great weekend!! I could just think of one thing: my Beta being tomorrow!!!! tomorrow already!!! I'm so excited and scared at the same time. I've trying to be strong and not buying a HPT test... This is the real hard part.. So far still with no symptoms at all, being the only thing taht my boobs are sore at the end of the day and I felt some cramping during the weekend.. That's all!!!! This wait is killing me LOL... Tomorrow will be a veryyyyy long day...Mega.. hope that you're weekend went great at the cabin..

cmelissa, I'm only cd 25 right now so I have to wait for af, then on cd 3 start the gonal f. I will not be on baby asprin unless I hyperstim again. Tips for 2ww were things like buy every magazine you like and have nothing but junk to read, books if you are a reader (I prefer the mags myself!), walks, movies, video rentals, meet with friends for lunches, dinners, meet for coffee/juice/tea whatever you drink, walk the dog, shop, window shop. Thats all I can think of right now. She said basically if you are excited about something right now hold off to do it until your 2ww and then go do it so you will anticipate it instead of the 2ww. Robyn how'd the mock go? Angie wow eh 1 more day. How many days has it been since your transfer (you were a blast or 3 day? I"m sorry I dont remember). The more I think of it the more I know i will test early. I'm not a tipical tester but I just figured out that if I trigger 35 hours before my retrieval, I have a 3 day wait then 12 more days to wait for a beta, I could use an early test ahead of time. Maybe the day before like mega did. I found I have 2 hpt early responses so you know there is no way they are going to be able to sit in a drawer and not get used. Oh the counsellor did say i am NOT to BBT during my ivf stuff. uh oh I"ll have withdrawl symptoms haha.

Angie - gl tomorrow at the beta - I'm sure its going to be a BFP!!!! This is your 1st ivf cycle right?? The symptoms sounds promising!!! Let us know as soon as you find out i will be thinking of you and saying a pray tonight!! Well day 2 of the shots - i always get a red mark near the injection sight and its gets a little sore - but the lupron shot is fine? I go in wed, for a follie check - hope they are growing big!! I;m not feeling bloated today so thats nice! Angie im doing a 5 day transfer too!! Robyn how did the mock go?? Waiting anxiously to hear the details!! cmelissa so you have to take the repronex and the gonal F as separate shots each night or do you mix them? I'm glad I only will have the one shot at night (I do my Lupron in the morning). 9 dpt wow I'm sure I'd be testing. So weird for me too since I dont usually but then again i wont be allowed to do my bbt and thats how i always avoided not doing them before. Angie I'm so psyched for your results. You got my prayers and thoughts with you. How did you pass your 2ww time? any suggestions? I wish I was up in the mountains like Mega on a holiday. Hi all! I've just been lurking around and reading all of your posts. I decided to put off my ivf until af comes in December, as we have a family trip planned & paid for to Cancun during Thanksgiving in November. So, there is just no point to start now. So, I really don't have much I can add or say to you guys. However, ALL of you are always in my thoughs and prayers! Angie, good luck tomorrow!

Hey Isa, I mix the 2 meds together for 1 shot, however i have to take the lupron shot separate so it ends up being 2 shots a night - not fun! I dont think i will test before my beta since i never seem to have luck with those hpt's! I dont have any right now too so that will make it easier for me.

Cancun...I am jealous. Well if this doesnt work we will be doing a couple weeks in the carribean over the winter sometime. Dh has had to stop himself from looking at trips until we know how we do this month. If it works we will not be able to go until my safety time in 2nd trimeter since I am a high risk for m/c and so we will wait to see how the pregnancy progresses. If it fails,depending on if I have any frozen embies will depend on when we go b/c if I have to take a cycle off it might hit into the xmas holidays and i wouldnt be able to be monitored b/c they close around xmas to the new year so depending on how my cycle goes we might squeeze the trip in over the holidays. I'm hoping though not until 2nd trimester :)

ANGIE GOOD LUCK. Thoughts and prayers are with you hoping for good results. Keep us posted. What time do you go for he beta and how long after that will you have to wait.
