Lynn--Sorry to hear Sydney has RSV. Poor little girl. I hope she feels better soon & you can keep her out of the hospital. Carole--Oh how scary about the bleeding. I'm glad the u/s proved the baby is fine & at least you can feel his moving around for added reassurance though that all is fine. I know though it's frustrating not knowing for sure why you're bleeding. Since I had that spotting in my 1st tri, I still check every time I wipe to make sure I'm not bleeding. And I haven't seen any blood in almost a month. Thank God your cervix is shut tight, that's good. Hopefully it was just a one time, freak thing. I had to laugh to when you said you & DH are leaning towards Carson as well, but for a boy. Too funny! I think that name works wonderful for both genders really. :) You rented a doppler didn't you for early pg? Where did you rent from? I just rented a doppler from Belly Beats last night. I did the overnight shipping special though so I should get it today. YAY new toy! Can't wait! I'm worried though with the baby being breech (at least in last u/s) if maybe he/she isn't in best position for me to hear the h/b though. I guess I'll find out soon. I'm also not sure he/she's in best position for the gender check in about a month. But that's plenty of time to shift position too I guess. Oh it was amazing to see how different the baby looked in just 3 weeks & 1 day's time. I know I'm carrying a human baby now. Not that I thought it wasn't human though. LOL!

Kot--Thinking of you! I agree with your intuition & Lynn's, it definitely sounds more like a blighted ovum than an ectopic. I hope there was a big drop in your beta on Sat. Good luck this week re: your request to flush out your tubes. Thinking of you & your DH. I'm so sorry you're going thru all this.

Hey ladies. I hope you don't mind me reading your thread. I am curious.....I see that your heading is for injectables and also that all of you are pregnant. That is wonderful by the way....congrads!! So my question is this.....we have been TTC for almost 3 years. I was on clomid/iui/ovidril several months which resulted in one m/c. They switched me over to Femara/iui/ovidril for 2 months with no results. In May I will be starting the Gonal F/iui/ovidril. I was told my chances would be alot greater than just the clomid. How many cycles did you guys use the injectables? Oh, our infertility stems from the male factory vs. myself. Any suggestions on this topic would be appreciated. I am getting alittle nervous and would like to know what to expect. Thanks so much!!!

Lynn - March 20

Montie....i did clomid, femera and follistim....i had a m/c and an ectopic. after 3+ years of drugs...we were taking a much needed break and thinking about adoption. on month 2 of break, i got pregnant without any drugs. i had unexplained infertility. MEGA: do not be concerned with breech now....your little "human" will be changing positions lots in the next months to come. you would be surprised how they can see what is going on. Sydney did not go head down until 30 weeks which is somewhere around the time they should. he/she will move lots and once your uterus is out of you pelvic area...you will have no problem hearing the hb unless their back is to your belly.

Mega - March 21

Welcome Montie! I only did 2 cycles of Injectibles/IUI before switching to IVF b/c our male factor issue got much worse. But ironically like Lynn, I got pg on a break cycle. But mine happened immediately after a m/c.I agree with your dr, injectibles do tend to raise your odds a bit, mainly b/c they certainly can make you release more eggs than Clomid or Femara. Of course your odds still vary according to what issues you & DH have. Good luck with the injectibles cycle. What an exciting step. Keep us posted on how it goes! Please keep chatting with us. Lynn--Thanks! Yeah you're right, it's very early to be concerned with breech. But there have been lots & lots of breech babies in my family leading me to think there's a definite propensity in my fam. But I'm sure you're right, he/she will start to really move & groove here shortly & who knows what crazy positions he/she will end up in. I think we heard the h/b last night in fact. Seemed a little lower & more off to my right side than I would've expected, but definitely had that galloping horse sound of an early fetal h/b. Really cool. They were supposed to supply a CD with the doppler that has recordings of fetal h/bs, & maternal sounds to help with the identification but they forgot to include that in my package. :) But we've heard the h/b before so I'm confident that's what I heard last night. How beauitful of a sound. I'm glad to hear if the baby stays breech by the next u/s, I still stand a chance of seeing boy parts or girl parts. Yay! Isn't that amazing though, that at 30 weeks or so most babies just go head down. Almost like it's some instinctual thing. Wow! Or maybe it's just space, in that overcrowding womb. I don't know. Interesting either way though. So how's Miss Sydney doing? Any better today? What is the dr having you do to help her feel better? Does RSV usually carry a fever? It's also diarreah, right?

Lynn - March 23

MEGA: RSV is an infection in her lungs kind of like pneumonia. we do breathing treatments, oral steroids and tylenol. at our child birth classes, the instructor joked and said babies who read their manual would proceed to head down and those who forgot stay breech. she said it is amazing how life is and how they know what to do. glad you hear the hb. i opted to skip getting that as i went biweekly and was also afraid if i did not hear it, i would think the worst.

soimpatient - March 23

Lynn, sorry to hear about Sydney's RSV infection:( I hope that she gets better really soon. Mega, congrats on hearing the heartbeat!!! I never had much luck with those dopplers but I blame it on my anterior placenta. Well, I had my 3d u/s yesterday and it was so cool. It actually felt like I was dreaming. There are pics posted on the july mommies site... http://julymommies dot piczo dot com The baby was not co-operating and she kept covering her face but we still got some pretty good shots. The tech also had some problems because of the anterior placenta but all in all, it was an amazing experience and we are going again when I am 31 weeks.

kotkot005 - March 25

hello girls. hope you are doing well. mega, so excited for you that must be so overwhelming to hear the tiny heart beats. wish you a very safe journey. well girls for me ... surprise! i went through a laprascopy Last wednesdya.. do not relaly know why? my hormone levels dropped to 205 on tuesday when i met my doctor for a schedualed appointments where he insisted to do the lap. i was taotally unconvinced. as i am having normal bleeding and my hcg are dropping then if as he suspects this is an ectopic then iam having a normal tubal abortion which can go by itself with no need of the lap. under the insist of my dear doctor , i went under knife for the second time in a week ! that was really disappointing... i just had enough os all this s**itt and enough is enough, i am taking along long break before considering the whole concieving issue again. as for the lap. guess what!!!! nothing in my tubes and nothing any where else he investigated the whole area and nothing totally nothing was found excpet a small amount of blood on my lower abdomen. i am really frustrated as it was really un necessary to have the operation but doctors are such a pain in the A**. i am really down girls. just do not know what to do .. i really want to share you the video but do not know how to post it so you can have alook at the operation. me myself i found it excellent the tubes the ovaries and everything else seemed super normal. anyways, i am in the mood of taking such along long break before taking a decision of what to do . i am really considering the IVF now if i didnt fall pregnant before the end of this year, i was advised that as my DH is super normal then we have a preetty great chance, i really want to overcome the pain associated with all the traditional procedures. i do not knwo but i am really thinking of starting a saving account just for the IVF thing. anyways, i am taking an off and i will be posting here as usual to see how are you all doing girls. lots of love and best wishes to all of you .

Lynn - March 31

KOT: i am sorry you had to go through a LAP. i did not think ectopic. i hope you heal mentally and physically and can brushed yourself off again and begin to try. it takes lots to keep going. best of luck. MEGA: when do you find out gender? ANGELA: how is it going? CAROLE: are you getting prepared for his arrival? 2 more months. well, Sydney spent 4 days in the hospital with RSV. it was rough and we are now on the mend. she seems to be feeling better and sleeping a little more. my pointer for all you pregnant girls.....do not let anyone handle your baby who has the littlest cold and demand all to wash thier hands. it will cut down on spreading illness.

Mega - April 2

Lynn--Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear poor Sydney was in the hospital for 4 days. Poor little girl. Thank God she's feeling better now though. Did you get to stay with her? Or better yet did you & DH take turns staying with her? How scary that must've been though. Great tip on the handwashing, I will be very villigant about only clean hands holding the baby. And the cold & flu season will be about to begin with my bean is born. Thanks! I should find out the gender in a couple of weeks. Wow! I'm 15 weeks now. I can't wait to find out. There's a bit of girl majority now, maybe I'll even things up & join Carole in the boy team. Or not, & further make girls the majority. Can't wait, either way! Kot--Oh no! Another lap. Didn't you just have one a couple cycles ago? That's so rough on your body to have yet another surgery to recover from. I hope physically at least you're feeling better now. Mentally feeling better takes a little more time, unfortunately. Take as much of a break as you need from TTC. It takes time to heal, don't rush yourself. Only you know when the time is right to start again. This is little comfort now I'm sure, but you CAN get pg & you WILL again of that I'm sure. Please vent to us all you need too. So--How are you doing? You're nearing tri 3 right? Oh I did peak at your website the other day, those 3d u/s are incredible! How awesome is technology?! I may have my level II u/s done in 4-D, I'm not sure yet. I saw on a card my OB put in this folder of info she gave me on my last appt. that they now offer 4 D u/s, but I'm thinking my ins probably doesn't cover that & it'll be an expensive upcharge, but still probably worth it! I'll ask about it on my Fri. baby check appt. Carole--How are you doing? No more spotting I hope. How's Carson Hunter doing? Quite the acrobat at this point?

Lynn - April 8

just checking on all the pregnant people.....how are you all doing?

Mega - April 9

Hey Lynn, I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. How's Sydney feeling? Much better, I hope! I have a date now for the "Big U/s!" It's on April 30th. For the Level II & we should find out the gender too. Hopefully bean cooperates! I had a dream the other night we had that done & got a full on shot of "boy parts!" so we'll see. I also dreamt someone tried to tell me something was wrong with the baby's legs & I kept saying the u/s tech didn't tell me that & we had an expert come in to review & he agreed with me that the baby was perfectly normal. Good old pg dreams huh?!!! I found a tick on Sat. so I'm waiting for my OB's office to call back to schedule me in for a blood test for Lyme Disease. I don't have symptoms or anything but since I have no clue how long my friend was sucking my blood, I'd rather be overly anal these days than sorry. Always something, huh?! So--How are you doing? You're in tri 3 now aren't you? Or almost there? Oh & my dr had a little trouble finding the hb on Friday's baby check appt. but she did find it, thank goodness but she's now wondering if I too have an anterior placenta. Did your dr dx that on your gender check u/s? Carole, how are you feeling? You're over 30 weeks now, right? Wow, it's all going so fast now, huh? Kot--How are you feeling these days? Thinking of you!

Lynn - April 9

Mega, glad to hear from you and a date on the gender. I will be waiting to hear what he/she is. I hope everyone else is doing well.

soimpatient - April 10

Hi ladies. Not too much new with me. I'm 25 weeks now and time is dragging!!! I'm starting to go crazy waiting for this girlie's arrival. I've even started thinking about what to pack for the hospital!!! A little early huh??? Oh well, at least it gives me something to focus on other than the fact that I have gained 29lbs!!! Mega, that is so exciting that you have your gender u/s at the end of the month. Yes, the dx my anterior placenta at that ultrasound. I am finally feeling more movement but DH still hasn't been able to feel anything. Lynn, how much weight did you gain with Sydney and how much have you lost so far? (if you don't mind me asking). Anyway, I'd better get to work. I hope that you all have a great day!

Lynn - April 10

So: during the first 35 weeks, I gained about 38lbs. Once I hit 35 weeks, i was retaining sooo much fluid that i was gaining fluid weight of 5-10lbs a week until I had her (which was close to 40lbs of fluid). I have lost all of the fluid weight by the end of Feb and I have lost 10-15lbs of the "weight" as of March. I am planning on beginning weight watchers (which is what i did prior to getting pregnant...i lost 30lbs). try not to focus on the weight.......it is just a number and you need to gain some to have a healthy baby. sometimes i think people focus too much on a number (not saying you are) but society is like that. just enjoy your pregnancy. it is a great process you have worked so hard for.

soimpatient - April 11

Thanks Lynn! I am totally focusing on the weight # :( It doesn't help that my doc said that I have already gained everything that I should have throughout a 40 week pregnancy:( I can't even imagine carrying 40lbs of fluid on top of my weight gain. That must have been so exhausting and painful. But in the end...it is soooo worth it:)
