I've read all the side affects on the insert but how many women really experience them? Is there anyone else just starting infertility drugs? I'm new at this and would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Hello Hannah, I've taken Clomid and the only side effect that I've had were moodiness and headaches. GL

Hey Hannah. If I don't succeed this cycle, I am starting Clomid too for the first time. I am between 8 and 10dpo right now (ff changed my date but I am not sure I agree with it). I should get AF in 3 to 5 days from now (depending upon my actual ov date). Have you already started your Clomid? How long have you been ttc? This is my 11th cycle but we've been trying for over a year (my cycles are erratic). I had a laparoscopy done in August which showed that I had significant stage II endometriosis. I also often ov late and spot beginning anywhere from 9 to 10 dpo. My R.E. has told me that the Clomid will help reduce the pre-AF spotting, help me ov sooner and hopefully, ov more than one follicle.

hannah--- After ttc for 18 months now I am planning on starting clomid the first part of December. Keep me informed on how you are doing. The side effects scare me a little too. Ellie

Thanks Ladies for responding to my question.
irregularfrustration- I start my first run of clomid tomorrow (15th) and my husband and I have been ttc for over a year now, my cycles are pretty irregular as well and tests have shown that i'm not ovulating that's why my doc thinks this is good med for me. Tell me when you start your clomid I would like to keep in touch.
Elliemae-- I will keep you updated, thank you.

Hey Hannah and Elliemae. My temp dropped this a.m. so AF will likely begin tomorrow or Friday. I am set to start the clomid on cd3. I am still debating about going for IUI this cycle (in addition to the Clomid)...I'll let you know what I decide once I decide for sure. My MD prescribed the clomid because of my late ov and early spotting. I definitely ov though every cycle so unfortunately, I am not sure just how helpful the Clomid will be on its own for me. My aunt was prescribed Clomid because she didn't ov on her own. She got pregnant I think the second cycle on Clomid. She went on to have two more babies after her first - and both of those were conceived naturally, easily and quickly. Here's hoping you both succeed too!

i am on my second round of clomid. my side effects have been hot flashes, fatigue and acne. this month i was kinda extra bitchy. oh, and ovulation is a bit more intense. writing it down makes it look worse than it was. really, it wasn't so bad. good luck hannah!!!

HannahR - October 16

The only side affect i have had is headaches, i'm on day 2 of clomid

elliemae - October 16

Hannah--- I am glad that is all for you so far. I am still waiting for my appointment on the 12th of November. Maybe I will get a BFP before then and won't need to take it. Anyway keep us informed on how you are doing. I am cd7 and have about a week to go before ov. Baby dust---Ellie

BM12152 - October 18

I should be starting my first round of Clomid around the begining part of November on cycle days 5-9. I am really excited!! My husband and I have been trying for over a year now....Has anyone else's DH had a semen analysis come back with a high WBC? If so, what did they do to treat it??

Hopefulone - October 19

Hi My DH and i have been ttc for about 2years now and nothing. I started Clomid cd2-6 and i am on day 5 right now. I'm so excited this is my first time ever on fertility pills or anything for that matter.. I am so glad to be a part of a group that can understand my frustrations and what Im going throught bcuz my DH thinks I just "soooo" dramtic and a bit crazy sometimes.lol but he wants this as bad as I do ....I wanted to anwser BM12152's question. I know that with a hight WBC means there is an infection somewhere and anti-biotics is wat they treat it with. simply...

I wanted to kinda ask if my story is similar to anyone else's so far what i have read I am different. but let me share...My periods are like clockwork...every 26th day. they put me on clomid becuz we have been trying for so long and havent achieved BFP...I was wondering I did the sliva test last night 1 day after my period and it look to me to match the color indicating that i was "O" but then today i did it and i was lighter...?? So confused! DOes anyone know if you can "O" while on your period...Im hoping that I didnt miss it...or if the sliva strip could have been wrong???Any advise? Please!!! Whaen should I "O" and when should I start testing for it???

Chimerasai - October 19

Well, I am now a firm believer in Clomid. I got my BFP this morning. I don't think I could have done it with out Clomid. WHOO HOOO!!!

I just really want to actually HAVE a baby!!! It's so nice to have found a group of women going through the same thing. Good luck to you !!

Hello everyone. My obgyn just ordered up test for myself and DH. Dh went for SA on Friday, and I will be going for blood work on CD2 and HSG on CD7. Pending results of bloodwork the doc will either be starting me on Clomid and metformin or Clomid alone. DH and I have been trying for just over a year. Good luck to all and congrats to Chimerasai.
