Hi all - I just had HSG on Monday - everything normal.... so far my tests show an ovulation issue. Does one test that shows no ovulation mean that ovulation is an issue every month? My husband and I are trying to decide whether or not to start Clomid.

Sarah P- My husband and I had the same thing. After 5 months of trying to get pregnant, my doctor did some tests and found that I didn't ovulate that month. It does not mean you don't ovulate every month...only monthly tests can determine that. I have also had an HSG...all clear...and am now on my fourth round of Clomid. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Spring - Have you had any side effects from Clomid? Also, if you don't mind telling - what is the cost? So far with all this testing my insurance has been great but I'm not sure if my plan covers well for drug treatments.

Hi Ladies,
This forum is so great. DH and I have a little boy who is 2 and have been trying a year. I had a really bad uterine infection about 10 days postpartum and had to have a D&C. RE says this could be the cause of my infertility. Anyone else have a similar experience? I am scheduled to have my hsp tomorrow afternoon. I am feeling alot better about it after reading all your posts and know I know what to expect. Also, I didn't know it could increase chances of pregnancy. That is very encouraging news! Thanks to all, I'll repost to report how my procedure went.

Scentri- Best wishes to you! I don't know how you have made it, I am sooo frustrated after 14 months! All of our tests are fine, we fit into the unexplained category, I think it's because I am 38. I will report in on Monday, hopefully with good news. Breats are very tender but could just be PMS....

HI JULESP, Whatever happens do not give up, i know i will neva give up on something i want so bad. trust me it has nothing to do with age, it all falls in the hands of your higher power. So with that been said motivate me and I will definitely motivate you. Good Luck Beautiful.

Scentric- Thank you for the sweet, uplifting message. It's so hard not to think about it all the time! I am on day 29 of my cycle. I use to have a 28 day cycle but since femara it has been anywhere from 28-30 days. I am so excited because many of the postings have success within the first 3 months post HSG. I am not going to take a HPT early this month, I have taken one every month for 13 months in hopes of a BFP but I am tired of looking at the negatives! LOL! I hope all is going well for you, I am going to check back in Monday...I will definitely know by then...

SCENTRIC - January 11

HI JULESP, I TOTALLY CAN RELATE TO WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH I AM STILL GO THROUGH IT. I GET SO DISAPPOINTED WHEN I SEE NEGATIVE EVERYTIME FOR THE LAST PAST 3 YEARS AND I AM STILL TRYIN. I PROMISED MYSELF I WOULD NEVER GIVE UP. HOPE ALL GOES WELL, LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU ON MONDAY.

Hi. I'm new here. I got my HSG today. It really didn't hurt until the very end when they were shooting the pictures and it was a "sharp" shooting pain where my right ovary is.

The Dr. said everything is "pretty" normal. She said "pretty" normal because the tubes look a little honeycombed, which could mean salpingitis isthmica nodosa (SIN). I looked on the internet, and it said it's caused by previous PID. I've never had any type of sexually transmitted infection, so I'm confused about that. She said the radiologist would have the final word. Hrm. Anyone else have this?

My ovarian reserve is fine, hubby's sperm is fine, and I ovulate (I have 28 day cycles you could set your watch by and I charted for months, which shows I ovulate). I got pg in April but miscarried a few weeks later. So I know I CAN get pregnant.

I'm feeling very low about this.

Hey girls! I had a Lap surgery done last month (very minor same day) and the doctor because we have had multiple miscarriages and have been ttc went ahead while he was in ther and did the HSG. This was on December 5th. He also started me on Clomid, my cycle started on the 20th, we used OPK and did ovulate, and this morning I had a faint positive on a pregnancy test. The HSG is well worth it, My right tube was blocked and he cleared it so it does make a difference. Good luck to everyone....****Baby Dust****
