IUI in March

Jas when i had my baby I felt no different than any other cycle. It wasn't until a couple of weeks later that my breasts got really tender and I get ligament pain. Until then it was just normal AF symptoms, slight breast swelling, cramps, etc. It is annoying that pregnancy symptoms mirror AF symptoms, 'cause we never know for sure until AF arrives or we get a BFP!

I guess i am just going to have to wait and see... i am trying to be positive every day i tell my self ... I AM PREGNANT so hopefully the power of thought and prayer will work and I am :D i am trying my best... this is my first IUI but i have had the feeling of disappointment for every month before this so hopefully i will be happy end of next week :)

Jas,
Good luck. Keep thinking positive!!!
When you guys do IUI do you do two inseminations in a row?

Jas112 - March 13

Nope only did one insemination

Apalonia - March 13

Both times I have done IUI they have done two inseminations. So my DH has to go 2x. Anyway, I just thought I would ask. In addition to insulting me yesterday the Dr. said that IUI is a waste of money for my husband and I I think we will be moving on to IVF, with another doctor.

Hello ladies! Well, we had a very long weekend. We had to go to Re in New Jersey because NY office is closed on the weekends. All the traveling can be a little much. Well, Saturday I found out I was ready for trigger and had first IUI on Sunday and second yesterday. My follies looked really great. I got the possible multiples speech because there were many mature folliesI forget how many).Visits go so quickly. I don't take that too seriously because I would be happy w/ watever God gave me. Re was blown away on Sunday because Dh sperm count was 1 BILLION!!!! HOW CRAZY IS THAT? The nurse said she had never seen anything like it. I told them it was so high because the only time we sort of have sex, is when we have our IUI's. LOL. None of those people have any kind of sense of humor. Polly, I can totally agree w/ you about these RE's. I'm sorry you had to go through that, but I can totally relate. I haven't found a warm person from my Re's office during this process. You would think being in the bussiness that are in they would be a little more compassionate...NOT! I think they are like that because they don't like to ge too personal, because although they are in the bussiness of making people's dream's come true, they do have to let people down also. I can see how it might make a little sense why they treat me like, 865913 (my account #) instead of Brooke Noteboom. Now, that doesn't mean it doesn't piss me the F@#K OFF! Try to keep that in mind ladies. We have our families and dear friends and those are the people who count. Polly don't give up girl, you have us. You can unload on me. JG, sounds like you are doing well. I can't wait to hear your good news this week. When do you test again? Chele, Chas and Addie and Chandellina, we are all on the 2ww together? Did I leave anyone out? Sorry if I did, but I get a little lost when the thread gets really long. Good luck to you all, I'm always thinking of you....

Hey everyone! Polly, I would be feeling your same way!!! I can't believe he was so insensitive...we expect it from a lot of men, but a doctor that deals in this field should know better! Keep your head up girl!!! Hey Jas, I am neck and neck with you thins month. I am 4dp IUI...I also felt sick this morning, although I am pretty sure it is too early! I am a very heavy sleeper...never wake up in the middle of the night...but last night I woke up twice feeling like I was gonna be sick to my stomach! Probably just my body playing tricks with me like it does every month. DH and I were gonna do 1 more IUI next month if this month is not the month, but we have so much going on right now, we decided we would take a bit of a break if this month is not the month...Of course I hope it is...we will still "try"...just try naturally. What is weird is that when I had my reading with Cheri...she said this April as conceive or find out month...which would be next month. Told her I was about to start IUI's...did she see that helping? She said she did not see us doing IUI or IVF to get pregnant...and maybe I would find that in my journey! How weird is that...Up until a few days ago we were planning on doing one more IUI before break...So if this is not my month...I am really feeling positive about next month. Has anyone had a reading from Cheri that has or has not happened? Anyway...gotta get back to work! Have a great day everyone! Who is first to test???

Thanks Hannah, don't get down it seems like they have your schedule all worked out based on your follie development... I think maybe it would be a good idea as you mentioned to see if you can get in on Friday... usually our intuitions are correct. Have you called yet? CHANDELINNA, glad to hear things we smooth for you yesterday... so today is day 1 of the 2ww for you.... Ooh I hope you get the 2nd bfp!!! I believe JAS112 is in the running right now. APOLONIA, OMG! I can not believe that... I was waiting for a joke, punch line something at the end because this is unbelieveable! I think that is very insensitive on his part. 1st to answer your question, my office has it set up for 7:30-9 for those trying, b/w, u/s and then 9-onward is typically for those who have conceived. Now for IUI schedule like today I had a 9a..m so I could have ran in to someone that was pregant but it all depends on the schedule of the seamen wash... thing is, is seems like most of the women that conceive are there for a couple months (until they get an all clear) and then the are turned over to their OBGYN so they typically are not showing, so I would not know the difference. Back to your other question, in my opinion, but remember this is me.... I would look for someone else.... in our type of situation you need someone that is caring, understanding to what you are going through and to help give you a positive outlook to keep your mind and body healthy... if this man is that rude/insensitive then he does not seem like he is the type of person to be a fertility specialist.... Don't know but that's how I feel. Cheer up sweetie, don't let this jerk get you down! Why don't you start a thread titled something like "Anyone have a RE in Ontario?" You can get responses from others on who they are seeing, where their at and what the doctor is like.... won't hurt but will give you more options to think about. I just read JG's post and I agree, write a letter to them and let it go from there. And yes please don't give up, don't leave the thread, that is what we are hear for... to vent, get opinions, cheer each other on, etc... JAS112 I wish I could answer your questions about symptoms but I have yet to fall pregnant so I'm not too sure... Lots of Baby Dust! APOLONIA, why would he say it is a waste of time for your dh? Is his sperm count very low? I don't like this doctor because if he felt this way, then why did he let your proceed knowing it would not work??? EKOORB, yeah!!! we have another one ready for a bfp!! What size were your follies and how many? Wow your dh's count was awesome! I really wish you all lived in MI... I'm sure that many of you have great doctors but for those of you who don't... Mine is wonderful and I would recommend him in a heartbeat to all of you! The 1st time meeting w/ him I knew I wanted to continue.... he met w/ my dh and I and gave me a hug when he was done and said "we'll beat this", and evertime he see's me, even if passing in the hall he either grabs my hand and squeezes it wishing me luck and/or gives me a hug. Now some of you may think it's weird but think of yourself when your in the office looking for that ounce of hope or someone to encourage you... it really helps. And his staff, they are wonderful too! Good luck, and lots' of baby dust! As for me, I had my 1 of 2 IUI's today. I can't believe how easy it went... the IUI's have always been painful for me but this time... a breeze, no pain... very unusual for me. Also dh's count is always way over what my RE want's but today it came back 64 million! They said that was terrific so I go in tomorrow for round 2 but in essence I am on the 2ww because they have me count 14 days from the Ovidrel shot... therefore, today is day 1 girls!! Let's all hold hands together here and pray for tons of bfps, and also for our other friends that will be trying again shortly! BABY DUST!

Hi Chele, I had three follies at 21 and 1at 19 and one at 18. There were others, but I can't remember. Good luck to you...
