Hi, ladies -- I am new here, like I mentioned in my other post. I am a 35 year old, happily married for 11 years. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for sooo long. How do you hang on to hope, what inspires you to keep trying, I don't want to give up yet... some days are so hard. please help....

First, I try to take one day at a time and take charge ofmy fertility. Definitely go to an RE specialist to get help conceiving if you are having issues. I try to remind myself that right now with just me and my hubby, is an awesome time and we will never be just the two of us again. We need to enjoy it while we are just us. My inspiration is knowing that even if we can't conceive on our own, we will still be parents eventually, because there are children out there who are in need of good homes and are waiting for a loving caring couple to adopt them. Yeah they may not have you genes, but you are in essence saving a life. What better motivation is that? Don't give up. Stay strong. Stay positive and it will happen for us all! Good luck! and get to that specialist!!

thanks. I agree with you. My hubby and I are genuinely happy and enjoying the time we have together with each other and our 2 beautiful dogs. Adoption is pretty special, I am an adoptee myself, my half sister and I were both but up for adoption. Good luck to you too. :)

We made the decision that we would try for one more month and then get busy with a homestudy for adoption. That is how we are keeping sane and we talk a lot about the child we will adopt so our total focus is not on this AF that may be looming.

damn that AF!!!! I agree that adoption is special. My brother was adopted when my parents were told they couldn't have children. 9 months later...here I am! That seems to be the way isn't it? :)
