harrisongoodall- I'm doing good still waiting to test trying to be patient. How are you doing?
OlgaKay0518- My husband was the problem his men were not strong so I'm hoping I have a little better chance to conceive. I've been looking for things, I've been going to the bathroom a liitle bit more, my nipples hurt really bad. Thats different than usual cuz normally it's my whole breast that is tender and I've been gaging more easily. What do you guys think?

Hi everybody..I have been reading your posts today and thought I would join. I am on my 2nd IUI w/ Clomid and am also on the 2WW...I had only 1 folicle present the first time and an FSH of 14. The 2nd time around my FSH was 10.. I had 3 follicles this time and I am hoping that it works this time around. Good luck to everyone!!

Oh and I forgot to mention that I am 38 yrs old..:)

Had IUI yesterday morning and it was a bit more painful than my first. Doc said she had difficulty getting catheter in and that there may be scar tissue at the end of cervix due to irritation from the first. Has anyone else experienced that? Had some spotting as a result and I feel a lot more cramping than the first time. Now the 2-week wait begins. I think that if this doesn't work (although I am still being positive!) that I will try clomid and follistim again. That seemed to produce a lot more mature follicles than follistim alone, at least for me it did. So interesting to read everyone's stories - lots of similar experiences, but lots of differences too. Baby dust to all!

cdefonso.. I feel like we are in the same boat w/ the 3 follices.. good luck to ya! This 2ww is the worst!!

cdefonso: YES.. my 2nd IUI was very painful compared to my 1st one. I did not know how I was going to get through it. :(

I can't tell you how comforting it is to be here at this forum. I feel like I have the best company in the world around me. My hubby and I have been trying to conceive for 4 and 1/2 years. At first we were not too concerned, but when my doc recommended a fertility doctor I was upset.

Well, it's wonderful being here, and I wish all good things and baby dust to everyone. What a great group of people.

I am also in my 2ww. I don't FEEL pregnant, but I'm trying to be positive. I only had one follicle this time around and did timed intercourse, but my DH and I did BD a lot! We've been praying about it, so I am hoping God will bless us :-D Enjoy reading everyone's posts!

Babysprinkles - glad I wasn't the only one with a painful 2nd IUI! Wow - so much worse than the first. My husband had to leave to go out of town right after that and I felt bad that I had to lay there for so long afterwards, but it just hurt so bad! Doc recommended intercourse that night as a backup, but since husband had to go out of town, that plan went out the window! My fertility pharmacy wasn't able to get me the Ovidrel until late afternoon before the IUI (next morning), so I'm worried that the injection was too late and that I ovulated well after the swimmers arrived. Oh well, can't stress about it too much. Babysprinkles and AdoptedbyLight - I feel like this 2WW is a balancing act between trying to stay upbeat and positive and thinking good thoughts and prayers, and then NOT thinking about it too much and stressing and worrying. Welcome to forum newbies! Sharing your experiences is wonderful for others to read.

Babysprinkles, I wasted 6 long months trying to get pregnant with chlomid, all I needed was one month on follistim. You may want to upgrade if you are not seeing results with chlomid. I had to change doctors after 6 months because mine wanted me to try it for a YEAR before trying shots. My new doctor said 3 months should be the cut off. Just a word of advice I wish someone had given me! Good luck!!

Jennestrela: Thanks for the advise! I have wasted alot more than 6 months w/ Clomid. I was taking 3 a day for 5 days but then he bumped me up to 4 a day and I had a better result on my ultrasound (3 follices present) ... so I am hoping to get pregnant this time.. I will find out in a couple of days. I will however keep the follistim in mind for next time..thanks again ~ Cdefonso: hang in there you never know..this time may be your time! How long have you been trying and do you already have children? I dont have any children

cdefnoso - I totally agree with you about the 2ww. Pray, pray, pray...but no...stop worrying about it! I go back and forth constantly. I took a test yesterday (just because) and there was a faint line there, but I am assuming it was an evap. line. Who knows? I'll believe that I'm pregnant when someone yells "Here comes the head!" Babysprinkles - I was on Clomid for 6 months and wasn't even monitored!!! My doc was pathetic. Needless to say, nothing ever happened. I never got blood work done or anything. It works for some people, but I think it depends on their problem. Glad to be a part of this forum :-)

Bls81- you dint post after ur last test... i m super eager to know wht happend finally... i did my IUI this month and too worried about the results...

jennestrela - I couldn't agree more about the Follistim and switching docs. If you aren't satisfied with what your doc is telling you, find someone else. I wish I had known that. Babysprinkles - We've been trying for a year now. I saw my OB/GYN doc a year ago who said, "Have intercourse every other day in the beginning of your cycle and if that doesn't work come back and see me in 6 months." What a waste! So another 3 months went by after the 6 months, I got my bloodwork, went on clomid (no monitoring) and the HSG test and still nothing. Knowing my age (I turned 39 a few months ago), I think my OB/GYN should have recommended me to a fertility specialist right away. When I went to see my fertility specialist, he said he wouldn't have waited 6 months and would have tried Follistim the first cycle. However, after calling my insurance, they said they wouldn't pay for fertility treatment until after 6 months, so in retrospect, I would have had to wait because of insurance. Anyway, my advice to others is to read up on various treatments and ask your doctors if you can try things. Don't wait for them to suggest things. I did a combination of clomid and Follistim this cycle and got 3 mature follicles, so it's hard to say whether the clomid did it or the increased dosage in Follistim did it. (I only had one mature follicle on Follistim last cycle, but I was at the lowest dosage too.) Only 10 more days until I can take a pregnancy test! :-)
