Hi Michelle--my beta was exactly 14 days after my ER. I tested postive for the first time 11 days after.

The QUADS??!! FUNNY!!! I have had that comment about multiples made to me quite a few times and I am starting to think that I have more than 1 brewing in here! TINK- I am going to call your dr. CALL HER ALREADY, MICHELLE NEEDS TO KNOW!!! HECK, JANAE NEEDS TO KNOW!!! LMAO!!!

I bet the Quads thing was funnier before you had those high betas huh Jenae?! LOL! You could have twins with those #'s, but I'd lay more stock in your intiution that beta #'s though. You may be on to something there mama! Oh tell Tink's dr Mega is bursting at the seams too wanting to know about those beta #'s! i am betting at least one person on here has some sort of multiple. the odds are good for it! i am still going nuts. the cable guy is here now fixing our cable and internet. so now it would be awkward to get the calll with him here. but hey, i just want to know. they are scaring me now that something is wrong. i didn't test today.

oh and Janae, i have been eating those sour watermelon chewy candies all week. i love them anyways, but i can't get enough lately of sour!

you ladies are the first to hear.....just got the call- 139. a little lacking behind JOdy's, but i think she has a few in there! lol.....still a decent number. they want it over 25 and said ideally it should be around 100. i have a second beta on monday. and she said my progesterone is super high- 110.7. so i continue PIO over hte weekend, then i get to do suppositories! yeah!! so is 139 a decent number? what should it be by Monday- more than double right?

Tink--The repairman will have no clue what your talking about anyway, I'm sure. Sour candy helps me when I'm queasy too, Tink. I bought the Altoids Sour Tangarine candies for when I get nausous, it really helps me. Just a tip. Yeah, I'd say odds are strong there's at least 1 multiple momma on here. Probably more than 1. Okay we're dying to know here. Maybe not quite as bad as you are though. Admittedly. LOL!

Congrats Tink! That is a great number! Yeah. 2 out of the 3 of us so far...the pressure! I can't wait until tomorrow!

We cross posted, Tink. YAY! 139 is awesome. Excellent news. Congrats Tink! The hcg should double roughly every 48 + hours or so, so that's what, 4 days away. Roughly around 550 or so. Give/take. Bear in mind a 60+% rise every 2 days is also in acceptable range so a little less than 550 isn't anything to worry about I'd say. Here's a site for Monday: www.betabase.info. thanks Mega- that helps. i am right in the middle, average, median of beta numbers for 14dpo. so i am happy with that. The first thing out of DH's mouth was, could that number means twins? he is so scared of 2! lol- i told him probably not. but my stupid belly is still huge. it has not gone down. i am going to have to cave and buy some maternity pants or something by monday if it doesn't get better. i figure i'll wait til the second beta. i am not going to call my grandpa until monday either. he is the one that sent us an $11k check, no questions asked to pay for this. I have like $1800 left to send back to him since we didn't need ICSI or freezing. i also have a full 900iu cartridge of follistim shots......it is worth at least $600. plus another 400-500 left in a pen i started to use. i'll hold on to them for now you never know if you might need them again i guess. i might donate them if i can later. what does everyone else do with leftover meds?

Hi Michelle--great beta! Actually, the HCG number doesn't necessarily tell how many you have; my RE nurse told me of someone who had a beta of 125 and had twins :D Mega is absolutely right; in 85% of health pregnancies the number doubles every two days, so 550 is right. BetaBase also has a great doubling calculator--from 725 to 1943, my doubling time was 50 hours or 2.1 days...pretty cool to know that esp. when your beta isn't done exactly two days later. And Michelle--your belly will go down in about 1 week. I lost 2 pounds of water weight over the past two days and really have slimmed down, so much less bloated. And I went out and bought maternity panel pants over the weekend too because I had gone up so many sizes like we were talking about earlier. My recommendation...motherhood maternity sells jeans for around $17. You won't be wearing that size for your whole pregnancy, so it's a cheap price for some comfort :D I will avoid Mimi maternity since the jeans there were $68 and I can't see buying them now when you're just at the beginning :D

I think donating is a good idea. I keep meaning to do that myself, I have some leftover meds lying around too. Pay it forward, that type of thing. Aw your grandpa will be so excited when he gets the good news after your Mon appt. Middle of the road, median beta #'s are good. Really beta's are just as individual as the baby's that produce them. :) Anyway congrats again. And congrats again to DCL too! I'm outta here ladies. Have a great night everyone. Jody, thanks for the tips on the jeans. i am a frugal shopper, so $17 sound perfect to me. my boss is about my size - 5'9, 140-150 or so (even though i am 158 now since all the meds!), so she is going to give me a lot of her old maternity clothes. that will help. i'll wait over the weekend to give it some more time to go down. but i do need work clothes and i am going to vegas for a tradeshow end of march. Dh is flying out and so is a couple we are friends with. i am in charge and set the schedule, so i have scheduled myself just like 3 hours a day, plus i have to do some PR appts wiht the media, but it will give me lots of free time for those 3 days i work. then we are staying the weekend (the show ends friday at 3) to enjoy! we have a room at the venetian (company paid, yeah!).....i have to find some cute clothes to fit and to wear to vegas!! lol

DCL, see, you did it! Silly girl, you were all panicked for nothing! So so happy for you, sincerely. Tink, excellent, excellent news! Our cup do runneth over, does it not? (sorry, was just reading about Jesus' tomb discovery hence the archaic language) JB, didn't I extend an invitation already? Oh sorry, I thought I did. All you girls are invited to visit me in Paris (or the burbs if I move out there) and I will drive you around in the new car (which once it arrives will be an automatic since DP is a Canadian diplomat and has ordered his car from Canada as we get it 50% cheaper with the diplomatic discount, don't ask, very complicated). Anyway, you have to learn on a stick here, I don't mind, it'll just mean that I'll be able to drive both stick and automatic. So please, come and visit and I promise that we'll have a ball! Janae, I too either hit or pinched DP one night long ago because I was so pissed at him for snoring while I couldn't get to sleep. He woke up and bellowed at me as he had no idea why I was hitting him. Very funny in retrospect but it wasn't at the time:) Girls, not only is it the year of the pig but its the year of the Golden Pig. It only comes around once every 60 years so its bigtime lucky! The Chinese government is very uncomfortable right now. With their current one child policy the hospitals haven't been used to dealing with crowds of pregnant women but this year they are expecting a huge number of deliveries and aren't very well prepared with beds, doctors, etc. I'm off to bed now a very happy camper, well done girls.
