clomid and intercourse?

I will start taking Clomid on days 5-9 of my cycle. My Doctor said I should wait 5 days after the completion of the clomid before I have sex. I typically ovulate on day 10 because I have short peroids. Waiting 5 days after I have taken my last clomid pill to concieve sound strange. Any feedback?

trying using an opk. your dr. should really be monitoring you while on it. the medication can thin the lining of your uterus as it did to me and you won't get pregnant until it is thicker. on clomid i o'd on day 10. they didn't have time to do 2 iui's like they were suppose to. i usually o early as well. i also had to give myself an hcg injection the day i was ready to o. many people don't seem to get the injection just the pills. good luck to both of you.
