Its a GIRL!!!! The doctor could only be reasonably certain though as we couldn't see a willy between its thighs. However, we will know for sure in 3 weeks when the complete results of the amnio come in. I am so thrilled! Yaaaaay! The amnio was painful, no other way to describe it. I hated it and dread having to ever do it again. The initial results for the 3 trisomies (of which Downs is one) will be in on Tuesday and the complete results will be in in 3 weeks (along with the definitive sex update). I am now on complete bedrest till tomorrow morning and its so boring. DP and I sort of assumed that it was a boy as his family is full of boys and also because I am so big. Then 2 days ago I had a dream about having a girl baby and woke thinking, "That's so wierd to dream about a girl". Sure enough, its a girl. Don't know if my dream meant anything but its interesting, isn't it? Okay, I'm going to go back and read the posts I've missed.

Robyn, I hope my news didn't upset you. I remembered after I posted that your little baby Winter was a girl. I think that you are blessed to have a lovely son like Anthony, he sounds like such a delight. I am praying that you have another little girl or boy to provide him with a sibling. I'm sure it'll happen soon. Hey, you might even pull a Mega this month! Barzee, with those numbers you could definitely have more than one there. When is your first u/s? Janae, you are doing too much! Slow down girl. Let DH cook or order in sometimes and just relax, no sense in stressing your body out too much, esp in the first trimester. Jody, sounds like you have it all planned out. I guess one has to have a plan when one is having trips AND starting a new job. You go supermom!

BARZEE, nice number! I hope all goes well! ISA,I agree, I'll pass on the golf balls, LOL! ROBYN, interesting, definitely cover your bases with the bd'ing. I'm sure Anthony is going to have a ball when he's away and you'll make his summer complete with your plans! I am thinking of flying to Florida in July, around the 19th, it would be cool if we were in the same place at the same time...hmmm?! KB, WOW, CONGRATS!! It's so funny, I swear we are having a boy although prior to pregnancy I swore my first child would be a girl! We won't know until November 3rd! Yes, I will try to take it easy.

Morning girls, KB congrats on your little girl !!! By no means am I upset and am thrilled for you. I wish you a healthy and happy baby and I am sorry your amnio hurt rest and take care of yourself. Oh the reason I used the name Winter was because LINDS started a webpage with all of us on there and I didnt want to use the names that me and Jason had picked out so since we lost her in the Winter i said ok we will use the name. JANAE - girl you better take it easy i cant even take a can of whoop ass out on you cause your pregnant. LOL Well another positive OPK this morning its kinda weird they never happened without meds and lots of CM so it really would be cool if a "mega" happened but like i have been saying i am definitely not getting my hopes up. Well gonna get the day started be back later.

DCL - March 31

Ok, update on me... Yesterday DH and I went for our 8 week u/s. Again it took us about 45 minutes to see the u/s tech. We actually got one of the best u/s techs. DH and I were a mess since our anxiety levels were so high from waiting so long not to mention that i had to get to work since I didnt take the day off. Anyhow, DH and I were extremely ecstatic!! The baby is growing and was measuring at 8 wk 1 which the DR said was perfect. The hearbeat was 161 and I believe it measured 16mm or so (gosh I think it was mm) DH and I are still in shock. We also saw the heartbeat again - real cool!! I got a few pictures but they werent as clear as the screen. We have been looking at them and just are amazed. Well we waited another 20 minutes to see the DR (which I was excited that it was my reg RE and not one of the others ones that don't know me. Well my RE said all looks good and I was to be released to my OB. WOW!!!! I never thought I would hear that. When I was filling out my release form, the receptionist said "Congrats on Graduating" I was smiling and I think it settled in that I was in fact pregnant. I honestly didn't think it would ever happen. I wish I had a laparascopy sooner and I would have been pregnant quicker. I encourage anyone to get one and an HSG as soon as you are noticing a problem. If I had this RE when I first went to the clinic I would have known that my tubes were badly damaged. But for whatever reason it wasn't the right time and hopefully this time around was meant to be. My due date is still Nov 8th - which DH is excited b/c that is the day his mom passed away and will bring joy instead of sadness!! We are dying to tell my parents and his dad. tomorrow is my parent's 40th anniversary and dad's b'day. I am a little weary of telling them since I am afraid something will be jinxed. I was thinking of putting an u/s picture in their anniversary card. My parents are old fashion Italians and will want to call the world and don't want the world to know until May. I was thinking of telling them that the DR recommended not tell anyone so that they can keep it quiet. I just don't know 4 weeks is long time for my parents to keep anything quiet. I guess I have all night to decide. Sorry for the long update...

TINK, $900 that's great! Seems you are feeling a little better.... Don't know if it is what it is... wise tale because my sis was extremely sick her whole pregnancy each time and had 2 boys. :0) DCL, how exciting! That is so wondeful that the RE gave you the ok to move on.... You do have me intrigued.... I had an HSG and it was fine but no other tests like the lap you mentioned. I have cramps sometimes during my period but nothing real horrible (they were worse when I was younger) so the RE didn't think there was an issue. How did you know to get the lap? Being that I am planning on doing IVF for the 1st time soon I am worrying that something may hinder my chances... like not having a lap. Take care girls!!!

ROBYN - March 31

MICHELLE - awesome 900 bucks good for you. I hope you feel better when are you coming home? CHELE - Try and keep in mind that the 1st IVF attempt is trial and error if you do not succeed on the 1st attempt the RE adjusts the protocol for the next cycle. As for testing each RE also decides based each case what is better for his patient. I only had to do an HSG and mock trial transfer i also did tons of bloodwork and my husband had to do the SA's but other than that i have scar tissue around the ovaries that my RE felt in my case if he did a LAP would actually be too dangerous and he felt confident that he could bypass the scar tissue and get my pregnant and he did. Dont worry about your chances being hindered if you have done all the necessary testing then the RE knows whats in your best interest.

HI Robyn-
I have been on CRINONE GEL.
They also put me Prometrium--it is a pill that I insert.
I guess I will know the multiple factor in 2 weeks for my ultrasound

leahb5 - April 1

hi girls...congrats barzee!!!! sounds like everything is going very well, how are you feeling? gogo i'm now really pondering the possibilty now of trips down the road. how exciting. did you have a feeling ever that you were just ment to have multiples.....sometimes i just feel like i was put here to handle multiples, but even if i have one i dont care!! i'll take anything at this point! tink- so sorry that youre sick on vac. i have a ? with ivf how do they figure the due date? from day of fertilization or from last af??? no clue.we go tomorrow for our ivf teaching and dh ivf quality semen analyis. i'm looking forward to it and i'm sure i'll get a lot of questions answered...you guys are the best and cant wait to see whats in store for everyone this month!!!!! tons of babydust!!

ROBYN - April 1

Morning girls man my OPKS are positive we have done enough bd'g might get one more in 2nite just to make sure. LEAH - your date of conception is on the date of retreival not your AF with IVF. So if you get pregnant you will use the conception date and the date of conception and also "ovulation" day as well

ROBYN - April 1

I hope i wasnt took confusing. Conception is day of retrieval (LOL)

chele - April 1

LEAH, have fun tomorrow.... I can learn from you too... I still have so many questions that I need answered.

barzee - April 1

Hi girls-
I know I keep bringing this up but it is REALLY weighing on my mind. I am so upset that my progesterone #'s are not going up.
What I dont understand is they have me on 2 supplements-but they dont show up in the blood.
So how do they know if it is going up at all?

ROBYN - April 1

Barzee - honestly thats a good question but the supplements for progesterone or progesterone injections are to mainly prevent m/c in early pregnancy. Have they had you do injections or is it just supplements? I do understand your concern but they are the experts and they dont seem concerned by what you are saying. Have you asked them how are they going to check the levels if they are doing blood work? Call them tomorrow I am sure they will give you the answer you need to hear.
