Hi JB, keeping verything crossed for you!!!! How exciting!! Tink, watch this be your month since your just doing nothing-lol. That would be great as well. I'm cd10, a late oer around cd20. No opks for me this month, just busy going on holidays, christmas and all the rest. we will bd every othe rday starting on cd12. My test day will be Christmas morn in magic kingdom to boot. I'm thinking I should leave that till Dec 26, Tink, we have a few dinners booked, Crystal Place, Chef Mickeys, Princess breakfast. Any other suggestions? Can you put in a request for me to your pals at disney for a BFP on Christmas morn!! That would be my biggest request-lol. I heard you can buy cheaper OPKs and HPTs in the States, is that true and where? In Canada they are 5 packs for $50 incl. taxes. ($10 per pee stick) Hoping you are all well. Angelkitty...whats going on with you? Linds.. what step are you on today? What is the plan? I'm so rooting for you this month!!!! All my prayers are with you all!!!! XOXO

Hi guys, hope everyone is doing well today. I went in for u/s-labs today, I have about 33 eggs right now, and 19 of them are measurable. The largest ones are at about 14 mm today, so they are thinking probably Friday or Saturday for ER. Gosh, this damb PCOS is crazy...they want to monitor me everyday this week though because there are so many. I hope I don't overstimulate, I'm starting to feel my left ovary and I can't imagine when they reach 20+ mm, that Left one will probably be a boulder. Freaking out too and paranoid they may cancel the cycle. I'm on the lowest med dosage too, so its not like they can reduce the lupron even more since its at 5 units and my follistim is at 100 units. Guys, help me to stay positive here...I don't want to get sick because of this. Seriously, it is so cold in Chicago, I really hate living here this time of year, and I hate it now even more that I'm going through this crap and its cold out and I can't get fresh air...

Hi lovemy3, I just read about your request for a BFP from Mickey :), who knows what that mouse is capable of and it doesn't hurt to ask...cute. My guess is that you will have a totally relaxing time and that will get your body the green light to do what it is supposed to do for 2007!

JB0405 - December 4

Thanks a lot Tink & Lovemy... I am getting nervous. Linds, WOAH, that is a truck load of eggs! I'm sorry it's so cold over there, I was there a while back...like Jan/Feb of 04 or 05 and DH & I were FREEZING our butts off, so I know what you mean and I have a cousin that lives there! Lupron, I am on that now as well... it's supposed to maintain the progesterone which in turns helps to have a healthy pregnancy, is that correct? My dosage is 20units... I forgot I was supposed to start it on Friday, I remembered very late Friday/very early Saturday... I hope that isn't a problem...I have been very good since then...I hope we all have a GREAT DECEMBER!

lovemy3 - December 4

Linds...stay positive. I'm sorry I know nothing about meds or the process, but I am here to support you 100%. That sounds like a ton of eggs..throw some my way!!lol. I am praying like crazy for you guys...you have been thru so much. Hugs. Same for you JB, I know I'm not a wealth of info, but I promise I can be very helpful as soon as you get your BFP.. I have had 3 high risk pregnancies with preeclampsia to diabetes, to placenta accreta, lots of info I am-lolol. Anyhow, Lets hope this is the month, giant hugs to you all. P.S It is freezing here in the Toronto area, especially north of it like me!!

Tink - December 4

lovemy3- you can probably get the OPKs cheaper here. You have some good character meals planned- another good one is the dinner at Ohana's which is in the Polynesian. we did the dinner there and it was awesome- best food (like brazilian barbeque, they bring skewers of different meat around). we timed it so that we would be eating right as the fireworks went off at the MK. we had a window seat and it was great- they do games for the kids too. at the holidays- be sure and check out the real (life size) gingerbread house at the Grand Floridian hotel. Be sure and see the Osborne family lights at Disney MGM (where I worked). they are gorgeous and have fake snow blowing the whole time. Epcot also offers Santa's from around the world in the world showcase, great for the kids. if you don't already know- when you ride the monorail, ask to sit in the front. the kids love it and you get a certificate. at tom sawyer island at the MK- go at 10am to the island and they hide paintbrushes around the island. if you find one, you get free fastpasses for any of the mountains (splash mtn) etc. During the crazy crowds of the holidays, this helps! and use fastpass! hit the big rides early (dumbo, coasters, soarin etc.) when crowds are lower. check out all the decorations at the resorts- wilderness lodge is gorgeous! have a blast!

Tink - December 4

oh and lovemy3- liberty tree tavern at the MK is a good character meal too- thanksgiving type food- and colonial mickey! we love the food there. turkey, ham, mac and cheese, cobblers etc. A great disney website/boards is www.wdwinfo.com. LINDS- hang in there- you are oh so close and measuring well with follies. it is good they are monitoring you closely. i know it must be nerve-wracking. just take it as easy as you can and have faith that you will have lots of great eggs, but not overstim. Drinks lots of OJ etc. to stay healthy. i swear all the fertility meds wreaked havoc on my immune system. i had a sinus infection for a month. just rest up, take your vitamins (as if you need more pills to take!). and smile! you are so close! i just know it. baby dust coming your way.

linds99 - December 4

Thanks Tink, lovemy3, I know the man upstairs won't let anything happen to me. I am just perplexed that even the lower levels of meds caused me to have this type of reaction. I'm worried what my "physical state" will be by Friday...I'll be walking around with "rocks in my pockets" for sure...

Tink - December 5

still thinking of you Linds, I know it can't be easy with all those follies- i know having just 7 hurt like hell for me. you are such a trooper! some of us just respond really well to the meds. i had 7 mature follies 2 months straight on 50mg clomid. that had me worried that i was having too many! but for IVF, you want a lot! i am really hoping this is your month!

linds99 - December 5

Hi guys, under pressure now...ultrasound today revealed 35 follicles now, and 29 that are dominant, so I am on the verge of hyperstimulating. They cancel a cycle when you have over 35 follies. I'm scared they may cancel me now...but I have to wait to see what the doctor says this afternoon when she looks at the estrogen levels, maybe she will let me coast on the meds, don't take any until retrieval time. Damn PCOS! I hate this. They gave me such a low dosage too, only 5 units of Lupron and 100 units of follistim. I hope I didn't do all this for nothing.

JB0405 - December 5

WOW LINDS!!! When can they take the eggs out? Is it too early? I hope they let you use this cycle... keep us posted! Today is CD35 and physically I am fine, but mentally, that's an entirely different thing, LOL... I'm trying to be positive but I just feel otherwise. My urine has been smelling funny the past few days, has this happened to any of you? I have no burning or pain when I pee... the nurse asked me if I was in any pain or having sensations that would indicate anything BUT I feel nothing... so she asked me if I wanted to come in and have the urine tested for any abnormalities BUT I declined, I don't want to see that place until 12/11. I just have lots of butterflies! I found out today that the main reason they're having me take Lupron is so that if this cycle is a bust, I can start the next cycle of injectibles ASAP. Lovemy, you have hsd to go through all of that, WOW!! I will be asking LOTS of questions when I get my BFP. Tink, you know SOOOOO much about Disney, I wish I had known you before my trip this past summer, we had a great time but you seem to know a lot about the things that people don't even think about! I do plan on returning so I will be asking you for a list of things! Good Luck ladies!

lovemy3 - December 5

Linds...hang in there. I hope you are not in too much pain. That sounds like a huge amount of eggs. I just know this is going to be a good month here for us all. Tink, thanks for the Disney tips, we are excited!! JB, cd35 wow, so whats going on with that? And yep, my pregnancies ha ve been quite crazy. I have also had 3 sections if we have sections going on here. Info on mag Sulfate to finger pricking, to liver issues and plus 3 protein in the pee. LOL. I shouldn't be laughing, if I ever do get another BFP I'll probably have a heart attack when I see the double lines on the test from fear of "What have I done"!! Seriously, though I did have a consult with my perinatologist and he said generally they are getting better and I got the" yellow proceed with caution " light to have 1 more. After much prayer we decided to go for it, looking back, maybe it isn't in Gods plan and that is why its not happening. I often wonder that since my others were so easy to concieve. Maybe I'm being protected. But I know we are also given the desires of our heart, my first 3 I was so sure of, this time around, I want to but not quite as sold. Anyhow, enough of my babble. Hope you are all well, xoxox

JB0405 - December 5

Hey Lovemy3, I am just nervous right now! I shake off the feelings but they just come back... I get butterflies even when I am not concentrating on it! I just don't think it worked this time!

Here's some interesting article that came out today...MONDAY, Dec. 4 (HealthDay News) -- Women who are underweight before they become pregnant are 72% more likely to suffer a miscarriage in the first three months of pregnancy. The study of more than 6,600 women, aged 18-55, also found that underweight women can significantly reduce their risk of miscarriage in the first trimester by about 50% by taking supplements with folate or iron and by eating fresh fruits and vegetables every day. (We all knew this on this thread of course)...Chocolate was also associated with reduced risk of miscarriage in this group of women. (Hooray for Chocolate!!! Probably the magnesium in it that helps us...) Among the study's other findings: Previous pregnancy termination increased the risk of subsequent miscarriage by 60 percent. Fertility problems were associated with a 41 percent increased risk. All types of assisted reproduction were associated with increased risk, particularly intrauterine insemination or artificial insemination. Women who said their pregnancies were "planned" had a 40 percent reduced risk of miscarriage.
Women who had nausea and sickness in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy had about a 70 percent reduced risk. (So it is GOOD to have sickness in pregnancy...)

JB, try to stay positive, hang in there. When will you find out. ? Linds...interesting article. I have been blessed and not had a m/c. Phew and thank God. I do however have massive morning sickness, with my first 2 till the end and with my last till 30 weeks. My kids have strep throat and I was at their drs tonight and casually mentioned we are trying and for almost a year. He asked me if I had prior ttc issues and I said no and he said "well try for 18 months, its all about your age" I couldn't believe it, I thought once you are over 35, i'm 37, you seek help at 6 months. Anyhow, what a jerk! I thought so anyhow. he said its my age. this guy has never even treated me for anything..hes a pediatrician for goodness sake. anyhow, thats my night..geesh!!
