Good Morning Ladies! I hope everyones weekend went well. I am still lightly bleeding this am. I am waiting on the doc office to open so I can call and see what they want me to do. One of the guys my DH works with, who is also a good friend of ours, he and his wife had their DS at midnight Saturday. They had to do a section b/c he was breech, but all is well and they are expected to come home today or tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good day! I'll let you all know what the doc has to say!

Good morning ladies! Well, I'm on cd13 and I'm waiting to O (hopefully). This waiting really sucks. I feel like I am wishing my life away in 2 week increments. Yesterday I had really strong pains in my ovaries so I hope that it means that it is working! LB& Kiza, do you like your fertility monitor? I am using OPKs but I am wondering if a fertility monitor is better because it can show you that you are getting more and more fertile whereas an OPK just tells you when you have your surge...any thoughts? B&B (Blankets & Bottles...I hope you don't mind me shortening your name from now on)...good luck with your doctor today...I hope that he has something encouraging to say!

Hi Ladies; Just wondering if I can join your thread. I too am on my 2nd round of clomid, day 12 of my cycle. I just had my 5th ultrasound to measure follicles. I would love to have someone to talk to, this can be a pretty lonely journey sometimes. DH's are great, but I'm not sure how interested mine is in the size of my follicles. Good luck to you all, hope to hear from you soon

Summerlover...I am on day 13 so I'd love to chat with you! What days/dose are you doing? I agree, my DH is amazing but sometimes he just doesn't "get" what I'm going through and the girls on these boards are my heroes!

summerlover - July 24

Hi soimpatient; I love your name. I am on day day 12. This was my second month on clomid, 50 mg. I am doing a timed cycle this week, so i have to go every morning for an ultrasound. It is such a rollar coaster ride. When I went for my 1st the follicle was about doulble the size of my right. My left tube is blocked so I left feeling sad, but yesterday and today the left follicle has not grown and now the right is just a tiny bit smaller. Maybe all my chats "go right side, go right side" have helped. We will see tomorrow. Anyway maybe we can support each other seeing we are so close in our cycles. Hope to hear from you soon

soimpatient - July 24

Hi Summerlover, sorry that your left tube is blocked. That definitely has to be discouraging. I haven't gone for an HSG yet so I don't know if mine are blocked. I am going to ask my doc for one next month. I am on 100mg and I am not having any monitoring...I'm a little bit concerned because i am having severe pain in my ovaries. Last month I was on 50mg and didn't ovulate. What cd did you start taking the clomid...I'm on 5-9. Are you using OPKs?

LB - July 24

Hi ladies, soimpatient i do like my fertility monitor, i didn't at first because i thought it wasn't working because i only got "high" days and no peak but now i know that is because i wasn't ovulating even though i had reg cycles. My doctor than started me on clomid, and i finally gotten my peak egg days at the time i was set to ovulate. So i am a believer in it picking up my ovulation days. The only down side is the costs, i use more than the 10 sticks a month so it adds up. I would use it with my reg opk's just for backup. Summerlover welcome! isn't waiting to O excrutiating long? i don't know what is longer waiting to O or the two weeks after O? I didn't ovulate on 50mg so i am bumped up to 100 and weird thing is i have less side effects on 100 then 50 the most annoying thing is the headaches. I am now on cd6 and waiting to O, do you guys find your mucus dries up on clomid? or did it stay the same? i have a hard time distinguishing ewcm and i don't even know if i am even getting any, maybe that is my problem in concieving? any ideas, i don't like the robutussin, it makes me drowsy, is there a pill form for mucus?

summerlover - July 24

Hi ladies; soimpatient , i have to take my clomid days 2-7. I haven't used opk yet because i am going for ultrasounds every day until I o. I went to the u.s. a couple of weeks ago and bought a kit at target for 14.99 alot less than I can buy it in hamilton for 49.99. So i thought I would save it until next month, but i am hoping i don't need it. I think my dr. monitors my pretty well, i have to go in on day 24 of every month for blood work.
I only had two follicles, but that doesn't seem like much, I thought I would have more. Do you know if this is normal?
LB I am in the same boat as you as far as cm is concerned. i really have a hard time telling the difference, I heard evening primrose oil helps, 3000 mlgs a day so I started on first day of my cycle, and will stop when I o. The waiting is frustrating, it doesn't help that I am off for the summer and my husband has a landscaping business on the side. He doesn't get home until 9-10. All I have to do is wait. I am so happy I found you guys. Hope to hear from you soon

kiza - July 25

Hi girls. Welcome summerlover, your doc sounds really great, monitoring you so much. That can really help. Two follies is better than none. I think it depends on the woman as to how many are released. Soimpatient, I hope your pain isn't too bad. I haven't had all that much this month, but I am still in transitional phase. I use the Maybe Baby fertility scope and I love it. It is so easy just a little bit of saliva and in 10 mins you have dots ( non fertile ) dots & ferns ( transitional phase ) or ferns ( fertile ). I only paid $55.00 and you can use it everyday for however long. I have never tried the opk's. I have conceived twice before on clomid and I did not use the Robitussin ( didn't even know about it then ). I did however take it last cycle 3 days after my last pill 3x day 600mg Guaff. I did however notice that while I was on it I seemed to have cm but right around the time of O I had dried up, it wasn't until a couple of days after O that I got ewcm. So I am taking it again this month but I will keep taking it until after O this time, and hopefully that will help the little buggers get to where they need to be. I live in Aussie so there is no other alternitive for Robitussin unless I order off the net and get it shipped, but if you are in the USA there is a product called Mucinex it is in tablet form. Not sure what is available in the UK though. Hope that is of some help. Cd 10 for me today and just waiting for the big O to arrive, I know what you mean about wishing your life away in two weeks incriments. Have a great day ladies.

soimpatient - July 25

Thanks for the info on fertility monitors. I think that I will stick to OPKs for this cycle and I might look at investing in one for next cycle. I tried EPO for CM a while back and I didn't really notice any difference so I gave up on it. Summerlover, my DH used to work crazy hours but thankfully he joined a new company and doesn't have to do that anymore...it can put an added stress on your relationship for sure! Plus, you & DH must be exhausted by the time he gets home and it must make it more difficult to BD. LB, I'm not sure which is worse...the wait for O or the TWW...in my case I might say the wait for O because I never end up O-ing and end up waiting 40-50 days before I have a provera induced period...it sucks. Well, not much new here...I'm on cd14 and just waiting to O :) Have a good day ladies!

blanketsandbottles - July 25

Hi Everyone! Yesterday was sooooo stressful. I called the doc office at 8:30am (when they open). I didn't hear back from them until almost 11. They told me I had to take a preg test and call them with the results before they could give me a script for the clomid 100mg. So, I ran home at lunch and wasted my money on the preg test and called them back to tell them that it was neg. (I don't understand why they had to have that anyway, they had already told me that I hadn't o'd) Anyway...By 5pm when I hadn't heard from them, I called again. They finally returned my call and I had to go in the office this am at 10 for the pelvic exam. Everything looked fine and I got my script. I started it tonight! Hopefully the higher mg will work. My doc also told me to use the Mucinex tabs to improve cm and keep it from becoming "hostile". I bought some on the way home from the office. He also told me that my DH could take it to help his little swimmers. I don't know if we will though b/c his semen analysis came back great! He has more than most men. Well, I guess I'll keep you guys posted!

kiza - July 26

Good luck Blanketsandbottles, I'm hoping the higher dose works for you aswell. I'm cd11 today and I think the robitussin seems to be working, yesterday I thought I seemed dryer than normal but today it's hit with a bang, so hopefully it will help. Have a great day ladies. Kiza

LB - July 26

Hi ladies, hope all is well with everyone, soimpatient did you O yet? Blankets i hope that 100mg works out for you, for me it is the dose that makes me ovulate, although i get some wicked cramps around O time,, and sore breast throughout the whole month. Kiza how are you doing on the O thing? what day are you on now? did you find anything different taking it 1-5? i find i don't get a lot of cm on this cycle, and now i am worried, i guess if i O soon i will pumping that preseed lubricant like crazy! lol, what crazy stuff we women have to go through to concieve, it is so weird! sometimes i wonder if i should have started when i was in my late teens early twenties to get pregnant, it would have been so much less stressful. Summerlover, do you do IUI with your monitoring, i wish i could get monitored by ultrasound as well, it would be so much less stress than those sticks! Oh well if i am not pregnant in three months i think that will be our next step, two follicles is definately good! Well i will talk to you ladies soon, take care all

kiza - July 27

Hey LB, good to hear from you, I'm cd12 today and I haven't really noticed much difference on the 1-5 yet, I too thought my cm was a bit dryer this month, even though I am taking the robittusin. I wonder if it has anything to do with the dosage we are on, like the higher the dose the less cm? Just a thought. My ferns on my scope have gone aswell so not so sure about O'ing now, could be the robitussin affecting my scope. I'll keep checking everyday and who knows. I hope everyone else is well and plodding along with their cycles. Take care girls will chat later off to bed. Goodnight. Kiza

momma2b - July 27

Hi, everyone! I took my first round of Clomid 50 mg this month, on days 3-7. I didn't feel the greatest while taking it, but it was ok. My doctor prescribed Clomid because I have low progesterone which caused me to stop ovulating. I took Prometrium for 12 days in June, had a period, and it seemed to do the trick because on day 21 when I had another progesterone level drawn, it had gone up from .6 to 10!! Then in July I had a period on my own, and started Clomid. I am now on CD 12 and I feel great. I had a m/c in June 2005, and we have been TTC since then. I am 38, my husband is 41 and he has 2 children from his first marriage, but I don't have any. I've been reading about Clomid and I know it works for some and doesn't work for others, I am believing, hoping, and praying that it works for me as well as all of you who are TTC. We all need support thru this journey in our lives, and its nice to know there is someone out there who understands.

summerlover - July 27

Hi Everyone; Hope you are all doing fine.
LB, I am not doing IUI, at least not yet. This is my second cycle with clomid. Today is day 15, as of this morning I still have to follicles, one on each ovary. 2mm each. I am glad that the right has caught up to the left. I was a little upset this morning, the technician said I might not ovulate and will need more medication, so I used my opk this afternoon and it was positive, so I go for my last ultrasound tomorrow, I will keep my fingers crossed. Welcome momma2b. You and I are in the same age group, maybe we can be of some help to each other. Hope to hear from you all soon while we go through our waiting game. Hopefully in a few weeks we can be discussing our new pregnancies.
talk to you soon
bev
