Hi Nic, I took bcp for approximately 6 years. I stopped taking them in April and had a regular period. My next period was August 22-28. Around Oct 9 I started getting this weird pinkish cm, enough that I wore a panti-liner. I went to the dr on the 12th, had a negative test, my dr did an exam as I explained that I had this cm. He figured I was about to get my period and that everything looked normal. I still haven't gotten that period, but the cm stopped yesterday. My dr told me it could take up to a year to be regular, but I was never really regular before the bcp. So now I have no idea what to expect. He said to come back in a month to have another hpt done and then go from there. He did suggest clomid. SO on Monday I will make my appt with the dr for the middle of the month and go from there. Do think this weird cm was my body's pathetic attempt at a period? Have a great weekend everyone! Think happy thoughts! ....and God said, "Go make babies....." or something to that effect!

Happy Halloween!!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! I have a question. I have read in various places that when ttc, you should make sure your cervix is high and open. How do you know? This morning I woke up this morning with some cramping, perhaps it could be AF showing up again. I haven't had a real period since August. I hope someone has some great news to start our week off!

Happy Halloween back! I do not know much about the cervical position thing, I have read about it alot as well but have never tried to detirmine what was going on with mine. Let us know if you find out..... I have no news, just finished my last Clomid pill Saturday so am now back on the timing everything again....start bd'ing every other day starting tomorrow...this month goin go make sure we bd on cd16 as that is when I ovulated the last two months..... which really sucks since by then we are kinda ready for a break from HAVING to bd on certain days.... we are suppose to bd every other day on cd 10-20.....i may push it back and do 12-22 or something just becuase I know i wont be O'ing until cd 16 or so....We'll see. How is everyone else doing this week? Monicas, any news on AF or anything??

Shawna- I have no idea about the cm after i stopped bcp my period went back to normal flow but just irregular in days. I never got any colored cm. Is it kind of like spotting?

Kristi, you should get some costumes to make the next few days more exciting!! Good Luck and I will continue to investigate the moving cervix! Nic- the cm was sort of a rose color, it stopped last thursday or friday, I was really dry this weekend and now again clear cm. The cramps I had this morning have now stopped. I think I need to head back to the dr. Have any of you read the thread called Where is your faith? A lady named Starr quotes from the bible and gives out blessings...really quite bizarre!! Well this is our first halloween in a while without snow. My son is dressed as a clown. He is wearing a costume my mom made when I was 5, pretty cute. My hubby and I were hoping for a baby in June and we just found out that friends of ours are due June 12th. I am a bit jealous. Has anyone heard from Monica?

OK I just read another thread and this is what I found out about the moving cervix: you can feel your cervix by inserting 1 or 2 fingers , your cervix will be low, firm and closed when infertile. when you start to become fertile you will notice that it moves up and you can feel that it is open. It will be very wet and slippery when you are most fertile, once you ovulate it will close up again. also: To feel your cervix squat or sit on the toilet. It will feel like a round smooth nub with a dimple in the middle of it. If you are not fertile then you will be able to feel it pretty easy without reaching up too far. If you are fertile it can be difficult to reach (whole finger). I hope this helps. I think I will go try!

Hey Kristi! Well, here’s the latest & not so greatest… Just as I predicted –I’d take the HPT & that evil AF would come for me – she showed up Friday night while DH & I were out & about! It was one of those in the middle of a conversation “Hold that thought honey – I’ll be right back” things. On my way to the restroom – I just knew it. Sure enough – full force AF… So just as I was so SURE that this month #13 would be the month – I have yet again failed. I am so frustrated as everything was perfect. I for sure ovulated, egg was released, all blood work points to perfect cycle, DH & I BD on time, AF was extended to a CD 36, the dream, the cramping, the lotiony CM , the clot spotting situation on Wed etc… etc… I was just SOLD on a BFP & ended up w/ nada…. T o make matters worse we had a B-day party for his 5yr old niece yesterday – so there I am with DH & all his family & their kids – everyone asking when we were going to “get in on the action” which is no fun for me b/c that question is usually started with a “how’s the baby that your husband has with the other woman doing” & then followed up with a “well when are you going to have one of your own” or “what Monica, you don’t want kids” or “why aren’t you two working on a family yet” kinda remarks…. I don’t know if people stop to think about how that makes a woman feel – I am not usually sensitive but after a while it just gets to me! It’s like what do I say – “well, hey we are unexplained infertile – we have been trying for years. We just cant get PG” or “hell yes I’d like a baby, actually I get twisted up emotionally about it ooh – just about every day” etc… etc… We hung out & made the best of it – as we are getting ready to finish the cake & get out of dodge – 2 of his sisters friends whom I know very well come in – BOTH PG!! These girls are 21 – 22, live at home, party girls – don’t get me wrong I am so happy for them & wish the very best for them but it’s like whoa, the both of you are “single” & the pregnancy was a fling gone wrong AT THE SAME TIME! They are a few weeks apart from each others due date at most! Both are having girls. Now – THAT was the icing on my cake – wow. So, just in the middle of all this – my DR. returned my call. SO I slid out of the Chuck-E-Cheeze to talk to my RE about my “infertility options” – AAH!!!! Hold up – before I go on about the conversation w/ DR ::::::: let me tell you the newest on DH going out of town till X-Mas….. He & I talked about it -he is coming back early to try try again – instead of X-Mas eve he‘ll be back 12/19 which is just in time for my estimated “natural O” YAY! ::::::::: So back to me out side the B-day party talking to DR about my options. She wants to do Clomid & IUI cycles. DH will not give his semen for IUI until he gets 3 more “natural tries” (something not “natural” about IUI & A DR inserting his frozen sperm in me in his mind) – okay, so I explain to DR. that I couldn’t even be in the IUI ball park till January as November is a total bust & he wants December. So, she says to come in on 11/10 to discuss her Clomid cycle proposition for December. Apparently even though I ovulate – she wants to get me on Clomid… This sounds crazy, what will it help me with if I already ovulate?!?! I am aware of the risk for multiple births on Clomid & am SCARED about that! I guess I will take Clomid & DH & I will BD through X-Mas & hope hope hope that MONTH # 14 will be the big winner! Ah, I hear you on the no stress no TTC break – November is MONICA’S MONTH!! I am going to try my hardest to RELAX!! I live in NYC otherwise I would be more than glad to come crash your holidays! Hahaha – you are so sweet! Thanks for your concerns & feedback! Can you tell me what to expect w/ the Clomid from your symptoms?! How are you holding up?! LADIES?? ANY GOOD NEWS ANYWHERE?!?! Monica, I am sorry about how your weekend turned out! I was just at Chuck-E-Cheese for my nephews 1st birthday a couple months ago and know how you feel! I did not want to be a downer on your clot spotting/pink cm stuff, but I get that just about every month before AF comes.... but you never know and since I have never been pg, i have no idea what implantation bleeding looks like, so I was hoping for you!! I wouldn't worry about the clomid's side affects. All I have really noticed is some hot flashes that usually do not last too long and being a little emotional on the day I ovulated. I don't recall any side affects from the clomid when I was on it for 3 months 9 years ago and I am only just now on my second month of it. I did seem to be a little more gassy and had some weird bubbling in stomache last month, but I don't know if that had anything to do with the clomid for sure or not. I would also not worry too much about the multiple births, I hear that at most you could have twins, but that it is not real likely. I'm sure your dr can tell you more about the risks of that. I'm glad you and your dh will get another shot in December and not have to wait till after the first of the year! I go to Dr. 11/11 and will see what she says about doing HSG....I am kinda anxious to have one done as I have had 2 close friends get pg right away after having HSG.... I really hope that you can take November and just not think about it and try to just enjoy the month w/out the pressure of counting/timing/bding all the time and all that good shit!! I am already dreading having to do all this over again this month and I am only in month 2 of ttc!!!! I don't know anything about IUI, and probably have a ways to go before we get to that point, so you will have to keep me informed. Well, its Halloween and our office closes an hour early so all the kids of employees can come trick or treat around the office and my niece and nephew will be here soon, so I will get back with everyone tomorrow!! Sorry to hear your bad news Monica. November is a new month for all of us!! Just think, you are one step ahead of me, I haven't had a period since August and don't know why. DH and I did the cervix test and mine appears to be missing in action!! I guess that means no baby soon, but I guess I already knew that. I hope everyone had fun this Halloween. Kristi, you mentioned being on clomid 9 years ago, do you have other children? We should think about starting a new thread, this one is getting long!! We got snow last night, but it should be gone by lunch time. What does 2ww mean? I've seen people writing this all over, but can't decipher it!

Shawna, it means two week wait - the time between O and AF..... I am in a very boring seminar today and tomorrow....We are on break right now and I am trying to stay awake.... tonight we start bding every other day, but shouldnt O till Nov 7....then I will be on my tww... ;-) Hope everyone is doing well and will check back when I can..... Good Luck tonight Kristi! We received some bad news today. Two couples my dh works with had miscarriages this weekend. One was almost 5 months and the other was 14 weeks. My hubby is totally put off getting pg right now, so our trying may have to be put off. I couldn't imagine losing a baby. The first couple had to deliver the baby. It was a boy, fully developed and 18 cm long. How devastating.
