hello everyone - glad to see people checking in. I have a rotten cold right now, so I've been told to stay on the couch all day by my dh. He gets frustrated when I try to do too much, but there's so much to do! I have a dr. appt tomorrow so I'll find out if I can take anything for this cold. Hopefully I'll either get an u/s tomorrow or schedule one so we can see how big this baby is getting. I did find my cords for my digital camera so I can upload pictures finally. I'll get some shots this week at my showers and figure out how to get them out to you guys. Melissa - I can't wait for you to get your Beta on Sat. will they give the results to your dh? I will keep your Dad in my prayers, keep us posted. Kelley - I'll bet you can't wait to quit working. I don't know about you but I'm slowing down tremendously here. Good luck on finding a car, that's always so tedious. How's are you doing Jamie? I think you're still playing the waiting game right? Tanya - good luck with the strips, I hope they work for you guys this month! Hi to Brooke, Gayle, Rhonda, Katt, Christine, Jess and anybody else I missed. so i've heard from many people on here in other threads that the tests from the dollar store work great and you can even use them early. Is that true? have you guys used them?

Mommy2josh so sorry to hear about your dad - how long did he battle with the cancer? leslie hope you feel better soon - let us know how your appt goes!

Leslie, I hope you feel better. Having a cold while prego is no fun. Good luck at your app tomorrow. Melissa, how did things go with your dad? The two of you have been in my thoughs. Gayle, I haven't use the dollar tests, so I'm not sure if they work well. I hope everyone is having a good day. Dh and I are going out to dinner tonight. I feel like we need to reconnect from the recent stress of ttc. Plus it's nice to leave ds with grandma once in a while!!!

Hey girls - OK I have so much to tell you all....

1st bad news - OK I go and get Anthony yesterday from school after school we go to the dentist. So by the time I get home its 530 pm. So as we pull up to the new house Anthony goes... mommy way is there water coming out from the garage? I go what did you just say? I open the garage door and all of a sudden there is a water coming from the walls and lights sockets pouring on the garage floor... So I FREAK out in Florida with the new building codes we have sprinkler systems built in to the walls so I thought there had been a fire I run upstairs my 2nd level is ankle deep in water. I am screaming like a maniac. I go into the kitchen the F---ing valve from the back of the refrigerator burst and water everywhere. So my entire 2nd and 1st level of the house is destroyed. All the hardwood floors the walls etc. Anthony goes across the street and finds the only 2 people living here and said please help my mommy our house is completely flooded. So the neighbor came over and just the main water off to the house. So....... make a long story a little shorter. My mom is an insurance agent she called a water restoration company. He came out immediately and dryed up the house and we have dehumidifiers and all these things around house soaking up water. So... the builder came over 1st thing this morning they were WONDERFUL. The said oh my God were are completely responsible. They already ordered the hard wood floors and the new carpeting for the 2nd and 1st level. All the walls will be repaired. So tomorrow they are coming to rip out the hardwood floors. They said they will replace all of our furniture. So I am relieved with that but devastated as to what happened I cant put in words. So.. I wont be having any new pics posted for a while. So I am going to repost with the IVF report.

So after all the house shit that happened. I must say that my neighbors came to us tonite to tell me how wonderful my son is how smart and calm he was. We are so proud of him for calming me down in such a bad situation. OK... So we go in today for a 2 hour IVF appt. Started with B/W and a U/S then they gave us our IVF protocol. OMG there is SO MUCH SHIT. I start BCP's on Friday they gave us 7 different prescriptions for meds which I filled today mostly antibiotics. Then the big expense will be delivered on Friday when they deliver 2000 dollars worth of injectibles. I start injectables on Nov 2 they said the retreival will be over Thanksgiving weekend. Then 3 - 6 days later the transfer. I cant believe its real. The only thing we had to pay for today was anesthia for the retreival. And Jason had to set up his appt for a semen anaylsis and cryopreservation (which they freeze the sperm for a back up if he gets sick). The only expsenses that may occur which you dont know till they retrieve the eggs is ICSI which is when they take one sperm and inject it in the egg and assisted hatching were they break the shell around the egg and inject the sperm into it those expenses are not know till afterwards. So... its really gonna happen. I am so excited and really nervous. So thats all my news that I have to report I need to read all your posts and catch up. LUV TO ALL OF YOU.

Hello Ladies! 1mom -I havent personally used the dollar store tests but I know people who have and they say there is no difference. Robyn- So sorry to hear about your house. Im glad that everything will be replaced. How exciting to get started on the ivf process. Leslie- Hope you start feeling better soon. I had a cold and the only thing I was able to take was the new night quil but I didnt take the full dosage because I was scared. Hope your apt goes well tomorrow. Cmelissa- I hope that your dad is ok. I will keep him in my prayers. Wow only 3 more days. Crossing my fingers for you. Kelley- Wow 5 more weeks of work. That has to be nice. Im working right upto the day I deliver. I cant afford to take any days off before. As it is I only have four weeks of time saved up so Im really hoping that he comes on his due date or a day or two before so that I actually get six weeks off. Otherwise I dont know what Im going to do. I know what you feel like shopping for a new car is rough. My whole family just got new cars and it was quite the experience. Katt- Way to go. Robyn, oh my gosh, that's crazy about your house. I'm so happy that everything will be replaced. That must be so hard to see everything damaged. My dh owns a fire sprinkler company. We have the same codes here. How exciting about ivf!! Thanksgiving is right around the corner. Christine, I hope that little guy stays put til your due date. I taught until 10 days before I gave birth. It was actually nice because I was so busy that it took my mind off giving birth. Take it easy. Only a little longer to go! Nighty night :)

ROBYN, I'm so sorry about the house, what a terrible thing to happen to your family, but thank goodness that the damage will be fixed ... and Anthony sounds like a wonderful boy, at least something good came out of it. I am very excited for your upcoming IVF procedure, I really hope it works. CMEL, I will keep your Dad in my thoughts ... I lost my Dad suddenly 5 years ago, and I miss him very much. Everytime you see him, give him the biggest hug you can manage. Slow, how have you been? When do you start to TTC again? Christine, wow, only 6 weeks off, I can't imagine how awful it must be to leave a 6 week old baby. I was planning on working up until about 2 weeks before my due date, but my doctor suggested against it because my daughter was born 2 weeks early and he thinks that I should take some time to rest and relax before the baby comes ... he said it's a whole different ballgame when you have 2 to take care of. Brooke, I remember all too well the frustration of DH sometimes not wanting to bd while TTC ... now I deal with it because I'm pg ... I am really looking forward to having normal sex again. I have decided not to go on birth control after the baby is born ... I'm going to use the Fertility Awareness Method, although I don't know how accurate the temp taking will be due to waking up several times a night for breastfeeding sessions ... I guess I could monitor CM mostly. Katt, I am so proud of you ... 3 cigs is great ... keep it up!! Rhonda, glad to hear that you are feeling better ... how is Mark doing? 1Mom, I never used the Dollar store HPT, in Canada, dollar stores don't sell them, but many times I wish that they had, I would have saved a bundle, LOL!!! Leslie, I haven't really slowed down as yet, just cut 30 minutes from my work day, and have been getting to bed a bit earlier. As for the car, I'm looking for a Volkswagon Jetta TDI, I want a diesel because I do lots of mileage and it'll cut my cost of gas. Anyway, have a great day. HUGS!!

good morning ladies - first of all Robyn, I can't believe that happened to your beautiful new house! I'm glad that your builders were so close though and everybody got over right away. Are you guys able to stay in the house? At least the IVF will hopefully help keep your mind off of it a little bit. Sounds like you have a great son, what a great kid to care for you during a stressful time. Gayle I never used the dollar store test either. I just usually bought what was on sale at the drug store, but a name brand because I was paranoid of faulty tests. Melissa - continue to keep us posted on your dad. I'm excited for you to test this weekend too. Kelley - I think what's slowing me down is that I carry so low and deep that I feel like the baby is sitting right on top of my vagina (sorry TMI) and they are just so sore, so sometimes its hard to walk. My appointment is this afternoon so I'll let you guys know any news. I also have my first shower this evening so I'm not sure when I'll be able to post, but I'll check back in when I get back. Hi all. Leslie, have a wonderful time at your shower. It's so much fun to get things for the baby. Melissa, how are you feeling? Any signs? How did your dad's surgery go? Kelley, it sounds like your pregnancy is going really well. Good luck looking for a jetta. I love vw's. I drive a black beetle. It's been such a great car. The only down side is it's a two door. When we have another little one it's time for a new car.Rhonda, I'm so happy that you're feeling better. How's Mark doing? I've already o'd a few days ago and now I'm having some strong twinges on my left side. The same side I had o pain. It started yesterday and it's still here today. Any idea if what it could be? The interesting thing is I never feel any o pains on the right side. If I don't get preg by Dec I'm going to have the HSG done. Since I got preg recently, I know atleast one has to be open. I hate reading into every little thing my body does.
