Hi Lucy. It doesn't hurt that bad when you do it, although you may feel a little cramping afterward, like a mild period cramp. It's okay though, nothing too bad.

Hi Everyone, hope you don't mind if I butt in/join?
I am on cd9 going in for u/s tomorrow to check my follicles - had laparoscopy surgery august16 for left blocked tube and ovarian drilling - so hopefully this is the cycle that I'll finally get a BFP after 2 years of ttc. I have PCOS and I have been taking clomid but I do ovulate on my own.
BABAYDUST TO ALL TTC...

Welcome all!! I am so glad we have people to wait this out with. An iui is really like a pap. Mild discomfort that is over before you know it. You may experience mild cramping - but nothing too serious.

Thanks everyone for your answers. I had the IUI done this morning - no problems - just felt some cramping and bloatedness. Now I get to wait.

Good luck Lucy - baby dust to you :-)

Welcome everybody! Well, IUI #2 was this morning, and I am ovulating today bigtime!!! How can you not feel 4 or so eggs coming out of your ovaries????? At least one egg better hook up with a cutie sperm or I am going to go off the chain! Well, I am trying to decide whether I should attempt to go to the grocery store now or tomorrow. We have a Tropical storm in our path, so I think I better get some yummies now. Check back on all of you later!

Good luck, Tracy! I hope everything goes well for you. You may end up with quadruplets! Won't that be fun? :-)

I just woke up after having a dream about a litter of kittens running through my door as I opened it. Do you think that was a premonition or wishful thinking???? lol....... I also had a seperate dream before I woke up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night about having bought two of everything in pink and blue. I have to mention, that I NEVER dream about baby anything, so now we know where my mind is!!! Celestia, was it AF that showed her ugly face or what? JamieLynne, the TWW does suck! How are we going to distract ourselves from obsessing? Lucy, welcome to the dreaded TWW. You and I are exactly on track, we both had IUI's yesterday. Well, I have a ton of things to do today, so I am going to get started, but I will catch up with the rest of you later. Have a great day!

hi ladies im sorry to jump in , i just had question , im doing iui this week , i normaly ovulate on my own so yesterday had u/s and eggi was 16 mm , dr said is not even big enough to do the shot but in the evening i had bad cramp like ovulation carmp, could it be that i did ovulate even knowing that my egg was only 16 mm ? im so worry !

Evy, I had the same feeling this cycle. The day I was supposed to do my trigger shot, I was feeling cramping or twinges in my ovaries and I was worried I was ovulating. I couldn't have sex either because DH was supposed to abstain for two days prior to IUI, so I feared we were going to miss the boat. Anyway, I went ahead with my trigger shot as scheduled, did the IUI on Sunday morning, then woke up Monday morning to horrible ovulation cramps. Had my second IUI on that morning, which was yesterday. When I went in for my first IUI (Sunday) I told them that I was afraid I had already ovulated because I had some cramps, etc.... and she could tell just by peeking inside that I still had tons of cervical mucus so probably had not ovulated yet, and she was right. The only suggestions I have are to either get an u/s, do an OPK, or have the doc peek in there to see if you still have lots of CM or if you are drying up. Let us know what happens. What cycle day are you on? and when is your IUI supposed to occur? Do you use OPK's?

celestia1977 - August 29

Tracy - I definitely believe that dreams mean something. You never know. The TWW is the worst! Let me know what happens though! Yes, my AF paid a visit. My friend told me last night to tell AF that she's over stayed her welcome and she needs to move out. Now I'm having major, major cramping (more than I've ever had in my life), but it's day 3 of this cycle, and maybe Prometrium and Clomid cause major cramping...I'm not sure. Going to doc today though to check for cysts (I guess that's standard procedure before they put me on Clomid again).

Tracy88 - August 29

Celestia--let me know what the doc says. Sorry the hag found you. She is like Santa Claus......knows where everybody lives even if you move! I thought TWW's were long before, but this one is going to drag longer than any other! At least for now I have this stupid tropical storm to use as a distraction. I need to look up some Buddhist proverbs to find one that I can repeat to myself that will soothe my soul while I wait in these next two weeks.

tracy ; thank you so much i thought i was alone and im going crazy ! she told me yesterday that she can see on u/s lots of cm so maybe that was it ! im on cd 18 , i ovulate tooo late and i have iui tomorrow afternnoon i will tell her about it ! you did 2 iui ! woooow that s great , hope this is it ! wish you lots of luck and i will let you know !

celestia1977 - August 29

Tracy, I'll let you know what happens at the doc. LOL...I like your comparison of the old hag to Santa Claus! I'm sorry to hear about the tropical storm...I take insurance claims for a living, so I know all about those storms!

Evy, I ovulate late 2. Good luck with the IUI - baby dust to you :-)

I had an IUI on Aug. 2 and got a BFP. This was our first try with IUI (Clomid/trigger). We've been ttc for two years. So excited that something finally worked. I had 2 follicles, and the procedure was painless (much less painful than HSG). Now I'm anxiously waiting an ultrasound in about 3 weeks to make sure that everything is ok. I hope that IUI does the trick for everyone!!! Good Luck!

Tracy88 - August 29

Jen T. thanks so much for popping in and sharing. You have no idea how much I needed to hear your story right now. I have been down in the dumps all day after learning that hubbies brother's wife just learned she is PG. It broke my heart. I just went through so much to get PG and to learn of her success at this moment was devastating. I have to keep in mind that it is always possible that I could get a BFP from all that I just put myself through in about two weeks. So I am holding on to a glimmer of hope. I had four follies and two great IUI's with high sperm counts, so I can't throw in the towel just yet. I needed a pick me up. Thanks so much!!!!
