I AM 31 AND WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE FOR SIX MONTHS. I HAVE BEEN TAKING THE SAME BIRTH CONTROLL PILL FOR TEN YEARS. WILL IT TAKE A LONG TIME TO CONCEIVE?

Hi - It can take up to 18 months for ov to kick back in after bcp. Check with your dr to see if you are ov yet by having a cd21 progesterone level blood test done. *Good Luck*

I agree with Lissa. Use a home ovulation kit to see if you are ovulating. If you are not see your Dr. Perhaps a medication can induce ovulation. It did take me a year to regulate after being on the pill for 10 years.
keep in mind that it takes most women 12 months to conceive. If you are inpatient like me go to your dr and say you've been trying for longer. That way you'll be able to get blood test etc to see if everything is okay. I said we were trying for 12 when it was 9 months, but I knew there was something wrong with my cycle. I'm happy I pushed the matter. good luck
