Success Story

Hello ladies! I wanted to pass on my story in hopes that it will help several of you keep the faith. My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for several years now. We had issues getting pregnant and when we did get pregnant we had several miscarriages, 4 to be exact. It was heartbreaking. Then I found a new doctor. He is a godsend, he was with us through our 4th miscarriage and he said after that one that he was going to make sure he got us a baby. He did a lap surgery to check everything, and did a HSG test (flushing out my tubes) while in there and ended up clearing a clogged tube. He also started me on Clomid that same month and within a few weeks I was pregnant. As soon as I got pregnant he started me on blood thinners because he had found out through the previous miscarriage that I had issues with clotting that contributed to the miscarriage. I had my baby boy on 9/11/08. Please ladies keep the faith, make sure and find a good doc who stays positive, and never give up. It can happen and it does, I started out on this exact board December of last year. I wish the best for all you ladies. Thank you!

Hopeful- I have a success story for you. I have PCOS and have been thru 4 rounds of clomid-The 1st at 50mg and the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th 100mg plus 1500 mg of Metformin. I got pregnant everytime on 100mg unfortunatly, the first 2 ended in m/c. It was just a fluke, all of my tests came back fine. BUT now I am 26 weeks pregnant with our little girl-Our Miracle baby. Trying to get pregnant can be a very hard and stressful time especially for women like us. Just try to keep your chin up and stay positive :) God will bless you with your miracle baby just like he did with us...we just had to wait a little longer.

I am now almost 36, have PCOS, diagnosed in 2004, DH 36 no problems.. I had a m/c 1999, son (2001) was 3rd round 50 mg clomid/IUI, daughter (2003) night of margaritas, 12 rounds clomid/IUI (150 mg plus 1500 metformin) 2004-06 led to 2nd m/c at 6wks, 3 more BFN rounds 150 mg clomid/IUI plus metformin, 3 injectable rounds/IUI in 2007, 2BFN, 3rd was m/c at 5 or 6 wks. Did IVF #1 as last ditch effort to heal the pain of my losses and hopefully give my wonderful 2 kids another sibling, now preg w/twin boys, due 3/3/09. Thrilled but shocked it was both boys, hoping for b/g twins (1 for each was always my dream since I was little), but now that my daughter and I are used to being the only girls, we are anxiously awaiting their arrival, hoping they won't be 2 early. Was on bed rest at 10-11 wks, 14-20 wks, for a sub chorionic hemorrhage, still scared that something will go wrong, praying hard it won't. Just now being able to do light activity, and starting to get my hopes up these little guys will make it. Bottom line, NEVER GIVE UP HOPE because to do so would give up your dreams!
