IUI with follicle reduction

Hello everyone, I have just returned from the clinic and they said i have too many large follicles and will need follicle reduction before the IUI takes place. This is all new too me, so dont know if thats good or bad, just wondered if anyone has had it or does it change the rate of pregnacy?
