JULIE...it's good to hear from you. I've been scanning the boards but not really checking it. Things with me are good. I'm 10 1/2 weeks pg with twins and they are both doing great. DH and I had our first u/s outside of the fertility office last Friday and we got to hear both hb's. One was 171 and the other was 168. Plus we got to see one of them squirming around...it was sooo great....of course I cried. My edd is 4/17/08 but my ob say's it will be more like the middle to end of March. Our goal is to reach March 17th. I'm sorry to hear about Nicholas's cold the poor thing. Just keep kissing and hugging on him!!!
I hope everyone else checks in, it would be nice to catch up with everyone. Take care. Cindy

MonieMarie - September 19

Hey girls! Glad to see a new thread just for us! Julie- so sorry about nicholas' cold! Thankfully our girls havent got one yet. Lol, and as you know they are 3 months old now too. I love it- they just smile all day long now! Cindy- so great to see everything is going great with the twins!! So are you in maternity pants yet? By 11 weeks, I had to wear only my comfy or loose pants in my wardrobe- no jeans! Sad I know :) Well ladies I am having a bit of a dilemma--- I had my first period in early august and havent had one since- now obviously I have PCOS, so I would never think I would need to use protection- but now I might be pregnant!! I dont have any concrete evidence though; All I know is that my pregnancy nose from the girls went away in June- and now for the past two weeks I have been blowing my nose like crazy. I am praying it is just allergies!! Also I craved PB&J they other day- which I always did with the girls. I am sooo scared! I mean dan and I want more kids, but not at least for 3 more years! I cant handle 3 kids under the age of 1!!! I hope and pray I am worrying over nothing and that I just havent had a period due to PCOS sticking around- but my OBGYN even told me to be careful because sometimes having your first child (for me children), can make your infertility problems go away. I think I am going to have to take a test just to make sure- what do you ladies think?? My DH thinks this is funny!!! I am loosing my mind worrying!

julie2007 - September 19

MONICA --- OMG! i have heard this many times from my "infertile" friends who suddenly become fertile myrtles!! WHEN are you going to test?? please get us caught up as soon as you do!! - remember God doesn't give us more than we can handle --- so if you are - it's meant to be! test already will you?!??!--------CINDY - you are almost out of the 1st trimester already - wow that went by so fast (for me atleast) -- i like the heart rates - i think you're having 2 girls too - just like monie. will you find out the sex?---- JENNY - are you out there? --- BWISH? --- anyone else?? so glad to hear from you guys- and with such interesting info! -- monica - let us know as soon as you test! -- best -- julie

babywish - September 20

Hi all, I was wondering the same thing. Everyone just kinda disappeared. Anyway, Samantha Elizabeth is here. 35 weeker. Had her this Tuesday at 12:46 pm after being in labor since 4 pm on Monday. She weighed in at a whopping 4.1 lbs lol and 16 1/4 inches. She ripped me n I had to get 5 stitches, her head ripped me. But she's beautiful, has a full head of black hair. She's in NICU for coming so early, but she's fine. At first she didn't get the concept of eating n breathing at the same time, but now she's eating like crazy. Yesterday she was at 10 ml every 4 hrs, today earlier she was at 10 every 3, now I find out that she's gonna be at 17 ml every 3. I am pumping, but at this rate there's no way I'm gonna be able to keep up w her with having to run to the hospital every day n trying to get this house into shape from being on bedrest for 3 months. Plus I have my baby shower next sunday. Craziness, but it is ALL worth it. She's under the light as of today cuz she has a touch of jaundice. Not bad, but she has it a little. I saw a little yellow around her nose n cheeks, but the rest of her little body is pink. Anyway I am gonna go to bed cuz I just got done pumping and have to be up early again to go to the hospital.

julie2007 - September 20

CONGRATS babywish!!! - so glad to hear all is well! and i am sure this will put an end to your boredom. i had nicholas at 37 wks and he is HUGE now! he's 16lbs and only 3 mos old. the jaundice is common in preemies - the lights will help dramatically - she'll be home before you know it. congrats!!! enjoy your new daughter! ----- hi ladies - hope all is well with you all! happy weekend.

MonieMarie - September 22

Hi Ladies- good news! Aunt Flo showed up saturday! Anyways, I guess we have to be careful now, lol. Babywish- yay for your new baby girl! You will be surprised how fast they increase their feedings in the NICU, she up to 30 ml's in no time! I know the NICU is a really difficult time, let me know if you need anything!

babywish - September 23

Hi all. Good news is they increased her food to 30 ml every 3 hrs, bad news is my breast milk isn't making her gain weight so they had to fortify it. They took the IV out yesterday, and she's no longer under the lights which is a plus. She's at 3.15 lbs so they wanna see her gain weight as of now. I can't believe she'll be a week old tomorrow. I have been running myself ragged trying to get my house back in order from being on bedrest forever. Almost got her room done. I have my shower Sunday so I'm really looking forward to that. I think post partum is kicking in though cuz I've been pretty weepy the last couple days. Wonder how long that lasts.

ZenGirl - September 24

Oh my goodness!! i was wondering how to find you girls! Julie- thanks for starting this thread!! We did have our 4-D and it was so cool!! She was sleeping at first but then she woke up and she kept yawning and stretching. It was amazing. I got a video of the whole thing to watch over and over :)).. We had our shower this past weekend and that went great. We got so many nice things that there is barely anything left for us to pick up. We had a great time. Babywish- CONGRATS on your little girl! it sounds like she is a strong one!! Cindy- won't be long before you find out the genders!! how exciting! Julie- i hope little man feels better soon. they are just so helpless being so little. I wish there was a way for us to shoo the sick away from them!

fncdavis - September 24

babywish...congrats on your new addition. I'm so excited for you. Are the doctors giving you any time frame on when Samantha should be able to go home? Make sure and rest as much as you can, you'll need it when she's home. Monie..How weird is it to say that I'm glad af showed up for you, haha! So how crazy is life with twins? People are starting to freak me out with horror stories. I keep telling Frank that we'll adjust and figure it out and everything will be great, now I just need to believe it!!! Zen...When is your due date and have you picked a name yet? Julie...is Nicolas feeling better? As for me, I'm feeling better, just really tired. My ob gave me medication to help with the morning sickness and it is a miracle drug. I'm so happy to not be vomiting any more!!! DH doen't want to find out the sex of the babies, he feels like everything with getting pg was so clinical that he really wants the delivery room surprise. I would love to know, but I'm not going to take this away from him, so for now we're going to pick two boy and two girl names and go from there. I go for my next ob appt and u/s on Oct 2 and I can't wait. Julie, all my friends agree with you about the twins being two girls, but my gut says two boys. Of course we'd love one of each...it really doesn't matter, I'm just so happy to be pg. Julie thanks for starting this thread, I was really missing you guys. I'll check in later. Take care, Cindy

julie2007 - September 24

yeay ---! there we are again! i am so glad to see you guys again - i was missing you too!! --let's see - ZEN -- how was the shower - i know you said you got most everything - but we want details! did clay love the party too? is he getting excited about his sister? how are you feeling now that you are --??? 30 weeks??? wow -- just imagine - 7 wks from where you are now - i got my surprise. are you prepared? it's going to go by quickly....... CINDY - i took reglan (didn't help) then another one they give cancer patients after chemo - to make me stop puking - it was AMAZING! but that' s usually a sign of a good pregnancy - ofcourse yours is times 2 -- hang in there. i like the idea that your DH wants to be surprised but it all - but for me i'd have to know the sex of the babies so i could prepare -- i am one who prepares. you'll need the itty bitty clothes - (OH and get atleast 1 preemie outfit for each even if they aren't preemies - to have on hand in case they are super small -- and then NEWBORN - not 0-3 months size! - no one told me that with my now 3 y/o and i couldn't figure out why the 0-3 clothes were huge on her and such -- nicholas wore newborn for about 6 wks too - then 0-3 for about 3 wks then he moved to 3-6 mos - and now i am getting the 9 mos sleepers. ) he's very long! ----- B*WISH - congrats on the improvement with samantha - i am sure she will be getting bigger and stronger each day! i think they usually say they can come home before what their original due date was if all goes well - what was your due date? hopefully she'll be home by then. try to sleep while you can before she gets home - it's a whole different ball game once your the one "on call" at night. . . . . MONIE - how are those gorgeous babies? please forgive - but i need a refresher on their names. do they look the same? is it hard to tell them apart? are they smiling cooing & laughing now? i love when nicholas does this! -- he's feeling better - but still has junk in his tiny little nose. so hopefully 1 or 2 more days and he'll be back to normal. i am knee deep in planning his baptismal / christening event for next month - i am hoping it all comes together - we are having kayla's 3rd annual halloween gala that saturday - so we will have a busy week.....plus i am turning uuugh let's just say older on the 8th, and for "MY" bday kayla is planning a pony party - she LOVES horses -- so we are going to go do some pony riding on oct 5 - should be fun. . . i am still having some of the PPD issues - i had an attack last night - it freaked me out! just out of the blue - got all awful -- uuugh don't want to think about it again. i am hoping it passes soon. i am still not taking medication - due to the breastfeeding. . . . ok girls - did we miss anyone? i know i didn't name everyone on our thread - but i was hoping that everyone would find us here! let's try to stay in touch! missed you girls! -- best - julie

Just an update. Samantha has a feeding tube in now. They put it in yesterday cuz she kept falling asleep during feedings so she wasn't finishing her bottle. So every other feeding she gets it by tube. It's so distressing, but at least I know she's getting her calories. She's in an open crib now so hopefully soon she'll be home with us. Julie, my original due date is Oct 15th. I'm really hoping she'll be home before then. She gained 2 oz the last 2 days, so she is gaining weight. I just hope that if they take her tube out tomorrow she'll stay awake for feedings. That's all they're waiting on now. Her temp's been holding steady in an open crib so that's not an issue knock on wood.

JULIE- the shower was a blast! i was SO exhausted at the end (it went from 1:30 pm to after 10 pm!) That is what happens when you have a party with Gemrna people and a keg, i suppose! Clay was very good but i think he got a little bored since no other kids were there...not even any of his cousins. He helped me open presents and made the rounds chatting with people. I went to BRU yesterday and exchanged a couple items of clothing that we got that will be too warm for her for the size they bought and with that credit I got a bunch of stuff that was left on our registry. Pack and play quilted sheets, the head supporter, more bibs, a new booger sucker, etc. I was amazed at what i brought in and what i brought out of the store!! You asked if we are ready?? I think we are all looking forward to having Audrey here. I am enjoying being pregnant for sure but we just can't wait to meet her and add her to our little family. As far as supplies go, I think we are as ready as we will ever be for her!!

julie2007 - September 28

JENNY - sounds like a good time! and miss audrey will be here before you know it! -- i am going to (this week) mail your pkg - i promise!!! it's just a challenge bringing 2 kids and a BIG box to the post ofc. i'll get it there i swear! --- CINDY how are you feeling?? i am still so excited that you are having twins! ---- MONIE - how are you and the girls? what day were they born on again? i know they are close to nicholas in june. --- BWISH -- glad to hear your LO is eating more - she'll be home before you know it!

fncdavis - September 29

Zen...the shower sounds awesome, besides the keg...that's great for everyone but you hahaha. By any chance did you get one of the new swaddle blankets? My bestfriend swears by them, they have a pocket for the babies feet and velcro to keep the blanket swaddled around them. Just an FYI...Julie...I'm doing okay, some days are better than others, I just want to be done with the ms, but once again I'm not complaining, I'll take the ms over no pg anytime. Babywish...how's Samantha today? Any change in her weight? Your in my prayers. Take care. Cindy

babywish - September 29

HI ladies. I had my shower yesterday it was absolutely wonderful. I have waited so many years to have a baby shower and it was everything I have always dreamed of, great food, great friends and family and fun had by all. I got pretty much all I asked for minus a few odds and ends, but I recieved tons of gift cards so they should cover what I didn't get. Anyway as for Sammie, I am so confused. The nurses tell us different things. First, the breastmilk thing. The nurse last night said that because she's on breastmilk frotifier, they have to wean her off the breastmilk before she goes home because they won't send her home with fortifier, it's either breastmilk or formula. They never told me that before. Then I was feeding Sammie yesterday and she's up to 35 cc's so they said I have to burp her halfway through, I did that, tried to burp her, then she fell asleep and I couldn't get her to finish the rest of her bottle. The nurse last night told me don't burp her halfway through because she'll lose interest and fall asleep. I have no clue which one I am supposed to be doing cuz each nurse tells us something different and why am I pumping when they're gonna wean her off my milk anyway? ANy of you with babies have any ideas?
