Early period or implantation bleeding?

I started bleeding 9 days prior to period. My periods are very regular. I've heard of implantation bleeding (which i never had with my previous 2 pregnancies) I only had moderate bleeding for 1 day then it turned into spotting. Has anyone experienced this and became pregnant? We've been trying to conceive for over a year now.
