Nans - February 14

Hi everyone! Happy Valentines Day! So any romantic plans for tonight? DH will work until 10-11pm tonight so there's nothing special for us tonight and besides we never celebrate valentines day, i don't know why but for almost 7 years we are together we never celebrate valentines day. Anyways i'm 7DPO right now as far as i know, 2WW is killing me, i really want to find out if i'm pg or not. I'm a little bit nervous and excited, i don't know, i just have to wait for a couple more days. Natasha V hope that we did it this month, I really hope that we are pg. kc i'm so happy for you and with how far your pregnancy is right now. Ann i'm sure your dad will be more excited that your DH..LOL, Clara i think you are the most relax person right now and just enjoying the day. Well ladies just keep on praying. Have a nice and romantic day to all of you.

Natasha V - February 15

Happy Valentine's Day! I'm hoping this will be my last Valentine's Day as a couple, as next year at this time, I hope to be a family... Dh and I just had a very nice dinner (king crab..yum!) with great conversation, lit candles, yummy cake to share for dessert, etc.. A very nice time indeed. I have to say that it will be hard to get used to life with a child, it's going to be so different (see how I'm acting like it's a foregone conclusion..? that's how excited I am about getting pg in the next month or two!..crazy, huh?)..anyway, I look forward to family life. Nans, I know a few people who don't really celebrate Valentines Day. As I said to dh earlier - to me, it doesn't hurt to have an excuse to be extra sweet to each other. But, if you always love the one your with and let them know it, there's no reason to let society tell you which day to express that. Aaanyway, I'm wondering what's going on with my body today... I sometimes try to imagine if the egg and sperm have come together and where they'd be right now etc. (am I the only one who does that? :)) Nans, any symptoms (phantom or otherwise)?? Regardless of how you all spent today, I hope it was happy - take care!

Natasha V - February 18

Hi everyone..or should I say, anyone? :) I'm just checking in to see how you all are doing. It's the start of a long weekend here in Canada (I think it may also be in the U.S.?) and I'm gearing up for my Vegas trip (leaving bright & early Tuesday morning). I'm 8dpo and still imagining now and then that I'm particularly tired, or a little nauseous as well as thinking that I'm peeing more than usual. I'm almost positive that none of these are true! But, doesn't hurt to hope! :) Nans, you must be around 10dpo, right? Feeling anything? kc, Kerri, Ann..how are those belly's growin'? Any crazy cravings? Kerri and Ann, are you finding you're less tired now than you were early in your pregnancies? My pg friend is feeling really tired and I've told her that I'm pretty sure it's a first trimester thing..true? Clara, are you feeling relaxed..that is, good about your decision to hold off for awhile? A girl I know at work has just been through her second round of IUI and she found out today that she's still not pregnant. I feel so badly for her since she's been trying longer than me even (and is a bit older). We weren't even friends before she told me how long she'd been ttc, it's amazing how this kind of thing can bond women together. We all need support, right? :) Did any of you get an IUI done? Sorry, I don't recall... Anyway, hope you're all doing wonderfully and we'll chat with you soon!

Nans - February 18

Hi everyone? how are you ladies doin? Natasha V seems that you are very positive this cycle and still enjoying your time, that's really good. I'm 10DPO today as far as i know..LOL..coz i'm not really sure, i also feel a little nauseous, my breast are a bit tender. I just really hope that we are pg. I tried to check my temp this morning and still a little bit high, i'll see tom if my temp will remain high, coz it's gonna be CD 28 for me tom. Well the wait is really killing me, we still have to wait for a couple more days and see. Well i'll keep you posted. Have a nice weekend ladies.

Natasha V - February 20

Hi all, Not too chatty these days, huh? :) I just wanted to wish you all well over the next week. Nans..How are you doing? I hope you have some good news for us! Any sign of pg? (or af..hope not!) Will you test or wait? I'm 11dpo today and my temp went down slightly this morning (from 98.3 to 97.6). I have to assume this means that af is coming. Although, there's a slim chance that it could be an implantation dip. We leave tomorrow super early for Vegas so I may not be able to trust my temp because it'll be at 4am! (likely to be lower than it would be if I woke up at 7am as usual). All this to say, that I likely won't know for SURE if I'm pg until 2 days from now, but it's looking very unlikely. I had sore bbs for the last 10 days or so, and they're starting to get LESS sore today..this, to me, means no pg. I don't know if I ever told you ladies this, but I read tarot cards as a sideline (on weekends, I get paid to do 'tarot parties..like a candle party, but it's tarot readings and I don't sell anything but a reading :)). I think I didn't mention it because it makes me sound like I'm really odd, but really I'm very normal. :) Anyway, I've been checking my cards on and off and the last few times I've read them, it looks like I could get pg in July (sigh..long wait). Though, I suspect if I do Clomid or IUI that it may be sooner (the cards also show a possible April/May pregnancy). My sister went to a psychic yesterday and asked about me. The psychic said that I'd get pg in July..then said, oh wait, it could also be as early as April! Weird, huh!? I guess I'll have to hope for that..April would be great - I've waited this long, I can wait 2 months! Anyway, hope you're all well and I'll write when I'm back (next Sunday or so). Healthy/sticky babies and baby dust to you all!

Nans - February 20

Hi everyone! Everybody seems to be very quiet these past few days...only Natasha V and I were exchanging thoughts here :) well i think most of you are very busy...Natasha V.. i'm cd 30 today and 13dpo, i tested last saturday and BFN so i think i have to wait a couple more days and test again if AF will not show up in 2 days. i've been taking my temp for the past 5 days just to know if af will arrive or not, my temp went 97.9 this morning from 98.2 from the past 3 days. I think we just have to keep on praying and continue to have faith in our Lord.

Kerri - February 21

Hi Everyone...it's been a while since I've posted. I was gone on a business trip to Orlando(last flying trip before Kalyn arrives) The weather was beautiful and we did get to sneak in some pleasure time at Epicot. Valentine's Day was sweet, DH gave me a diamond necklace with the letter "K" to represent the first initial in all of our names. Today DH and I are going to look at some church childcare places near my work. I'll get 3 months off for maternity leave(or until the money runs out b/c DH will be a full time student by then) and then I'll have to return to work full time :( But hopefully it will be short lived and well worth it when DH gets a job....trusting the Lord to provide for us during his 2.5 years of schooling. Well Ann, it sounds like you DID "plan" perfectly with the timing of Delaney. It must be nice to have family close by---my parents are about 4 hours away, but I did just find out that they listed their house on the market Monday...I think they're waiting to find out where my DH will get a job before making any moves our way. So, KC are you getting excited that your first trimester is almost complete? Nans and Natasha V I hope that your 2ww leads to a BFP! Clara, when is your doctor's appointment and do you have any advise about choosing a full time childcare facility--how many did you look at before you made your choice? There are lots of waiting lists already for the month of September.

Nans - February 22

Hi All, well sad to say AF show up her ugly face again last night, so basically i'm back to CD 1 today...ugghh...so hard but i will use the fertility monitor this cycle and hoping that it will be a big help for me. I think it will be a more relax cycle for me with this monitor coz i'll just have to wait and see what will happen, Natasha V how are you? how many dpo are you right now, i really hope for a BFP for you this time. Kerri nice to hear that you had a great valentines day..of course with a diamond neclace :) :) that is so sweet. I think finding the right childcare for your baby is a very important thing you have to do most especially when planning to go back to work. I hope that you'll find the best one for your baby. Ann and kc how are you ladies doin? hope that you are having a nice day. Clara how are you? Are you still in pain? Hope that you are ok now. Take care and talk to ya all soon!

Clara - February 22

Kerri - my doctor's appointment is in 2 more weeks so I'm collecting all my questions for him. As for daycares, I went to a couple but I did most of my research through a non-profit organization here called Work Family Resource. They basically do all background checks, keep logs of violations and records of state inspections of all facilities. I compared a lot of facilities based on what was important to me. I love the one my son goes to because they are church funded and really take pride in their quality and care. They have no negative violations or bad state inspections. Little things like inviting the parents to drop in anytime, checking ID of parents that they are not familiar with and the teachers take the time to talk to me every day to explain how my son did that day. As for the checking ID, it makes me feel safe to know that not just anyone can come in and pick up my child. Some parents get mad but I just don't understand that. When they invite you to drop in anytime, means they are not hiding anything and invite your observation of how they run on a daily basis. I suggest that once you find one you really feel good about, ask to go in and observe for an hour or so one day. You will see the interactions and the response from the children. Children don't lie at such an early age and you will know if they are happy there. Also, ask for parent references and call them. Other parents will give you honest opinions. I'm training my new replacement here so I'm not able to get on much. She's at lunch right now but I've peeked in to see how you are doing when she's been away from the desk. I start my new job next week so it may be a while before I can post again but know my heart goes out to you all. Nan - sorry about af, at least now you have a sense of control and the monitor should help. I'll check back in later.

Ann - February 23

Hi everyone. Nans, I am sorry to hear that AF showed up. But, I think the monitor will make you more relaxed and will hopefully give you the BFP that you so deserve. It is kind of exciting when the egg "pops" on the monitor. I remember the first time it happened, I woke my dh up and we both just looked at it. It felt like an accomplishment in itself! lol. Kerri, I am glad to hear that your trip went well and it sounds like you had a very romantic Valentine's Day! It was a very thoughtful gift that your dh gave you :0). Clara, congratulations on your new job. What is you new job going to be? (Sorry if you mentioned it and I forgot) Are you looking forward to this new position? Natasha, I think it is really cool that you do tarot card readings. I have had a reading, and think it is interesting how the cards are interpreted. I hope your psychic is correct and that you get pg soon! As for me, the painters have been here for the past two days painting Delaney's room. It is a deep pink (palmeto rose) and then has satin stripes painted about every four inches. (Same color just a satin sheen on the stripe) So far, I love it! The furniture should arrive in the next few weeks, so I finally feel like things are starting to happen. Exciting, but very nerve wracking too. Anyway, I just wanted to say that when I read your posts, I get a glimpse of who you all are as individuals. I so admire all of you. It awes me at times to think that we are all so different, yet can be trusting and comforting to each other because of our common wish. I am proud to know all of you! Take care.

kc - February 24

Nans - I'ts a bummer to hear that af showed once again. I really hope the monitor will take some stress off your shoulders. As Ann said the first time you see the egg is pretty exciting. Lots tears, prayers and baby dust your way. Natasha there is still hope for you, extra dust your way for the next BFP. It's your turn. I don't think your weird at all. I always read my horriscope just to see what lies in my future. I have always wanted to have a reading done but never got around to it. It seems you maybe getting a BFP this spring. I'll keep praying for you and Nans. You are right the fatigue usually ends by the start of the 2nd trimester. I am now 13 weeks and in just the past few days I feel not so beat all the time. As for me- I am getting huge. At this point with my dd I gained 2 lbs. With this one I have gained 10. My mom's comment was I'm not a spring chicken anymore. Great advice from Mom. DH and I have names picked out Jack if a boy(after his pap) and Shannon if a girl. Both names match nicely to our dd Maddison Rose. We are still stuck on the middle names, and we still can't agree on finding out. Both of us are very bull headed. I am still spotting every once in a while so I'm still worried. After 3 ultrasounds they still can't determine where the bleeding is comming from. So I am worried. I will just have to wait and see. But seeing the 3 inch bundle kicking, waving and squirming made me feel a little better. Those of you who mentioned looking for daycares. It wouldn't hurt to contact preschool programs in your area. They usually know which centers are highly recommended. I enrolled my dd in a family day care. The owner was a marketing major and knew how to sell her program. After taking to my dd preschool teacher I found out the lady was not as honest as she claimed to be. I pulled her out and found someone who raises her child with the same morals and discipline as myown. It is very difficult to find someone other than yourself to watch after the most precious gift you have been given. Just do your research, call parents and get references. Spend a few hours observing how it is run and how toddler squabbling is handled. Lots of luck to finding the perfect cente. Unfortunately we live in a society where a 2 incomes is needed to keep your head above water.

Natasha V - February 26

Hi, well I'm back from Vegas. Nans, so sorry to hear that af showed up. I think that you're going to get pg really quickly here now that your body knows how. :) Your monitor will be a huge help. Good luck passing the time until ttc time comes again. Well, I'm CD 5 already..time flies when you're out of town. Af arrived the second day I was there. I wasn't surprised, but was of course sad by it. This was my first month after getting the hsg, and I was really hoping for a bfp. I guess one okay thing about it was that there were 12 of us there and I was able to relax and have a few drinks and have some fun (of course my fave part of Vegas is the shopping! :)) My OB appointment is tomorrow - we'll hopefully talk about the next step. I hope he can tell me something good that will get me my bfp. Nice to hear that everyone is doing so well and that you're all helping each other with the child care etc.. I agree Ann that it's so neat that we're all obviously very different, but can really help each other on this baby topic. It's just wonderful. Take care ladies!

Kerri - February 27

Good Evening Ladies...Glad you a had a relaxing time in Vegas Natasha V--sorry about AF showing up on vacation...keep your spirits up, I got the BFP the second cycle after the HSG! I hope that your appoinment goes well tomorrow! Sorry Nans about the bittersweet arrival of AF---I know that now that you have the fertility monitor it will hopefully be a good guide to the right time to bd and help you to relax and get the BFP that you deserve. Well I had a check up at 26 weeks on Friday and I had gained 8.5 pounds since my last visit---I did great over the holidays, then I took trips to Colorado and Orlando and grew like a weed! I tried to do my gloclose screen on Friday as well, but by the time someone at the lab tried to help me it was after 4PM and the test takes an hour and 5 min. and the lab closed at 5PM and the lady didn't want to stay late on her Friday night. I was bummed b/c I was looking forward to getting the screening out of the way and had been eating so good--I pray that I don't have the Gestational diabetes, it's much more common in us women with PCOS. Anywho, still looking at church childcare(Clara, and everyone, thanks for the input) and trying to decide what to do with the nursery. Ann have you had your gluclose screening yet? KC, name picking out is exciting, when does your doctor do the sono to determine the gender?

Nans - February 27

Hi Ladies! Good morning! How's everybody's weekend? Well mine went pretty fast and fine, Natasha V, sorry about the AF i guess you will get pg by April as what you said..lol.at least you the most relax person in your vacation, but i know you're sad because AF showed up. For me I'm CD 6 right now and AFjust ended, the monitor prompted that i should test today at day 6...i know it's so early. Ann and kc and anybody with previous experience with the monitor, should i really test this early as the monitor ask me to test or could i wait for a couple more days and test, what do ya think???Just let me know coz as you know this is really something new to me. I'll be having a pap test next monday coz the dr in San Diego where i had my d&c wants me to follow up with pap test so, i'll be on sched next monday. I hope everything will be more relaxing for me coz the monitor does the counting for me. I just leave it up to the monitor....Have a nice week ahead of you.

Ann - February 27

Hey Everyone. Natasha, sorry to hear about AF showing up. I heard the hsg is effective for several months, so keep up the good vibes! I am glad you got to kick back and relax. Vegas sounds like a lot of fun:0). Nans, if you don't O this early, I think you could wait a couple of days. I wouldn't go past nine days just because the monitor is getting to know you right now. I'm so excited that you are starting it! Keep us updated. Kerri, I did have my glucose test this past week. It really wasn't that bad. It tasted like orange soda. I didn't realize though that you had to drink it in five minutes. (of course I'm chatting away with my dh, taking my sweet time) About three minutes into it, the nurse looked up and said you only have two more minutes. Well, I did get every last drop down. I got the results the next day and thankfully they were negative. My Dr. advised me to eat protein after they took my blood because of all the sugar. Good luck to you. Let us know how it goes. I'm off to start report cards! Talk with you soon. Oh- kc, what beautiful names you picked! We thougth of Jack too if it was a boy:0). As for the weight thing, I stopped stepping on the scale. It's too depressing. I figure as long as Delaney and I are healthy and I am not uncomfortable, then I'll lose whatever I have to after. I am figuring I'll gain about 35lbs. Yikes!

NatashaV - March 1

Hello ladies, not much to report. I saw the OB last night and told him that I'm scheduled to see the infertility specialist next week. He seemed a bit miffed, like I was wasting his time and said that he wouldn't recommend anything for me because the specialist will do that. Sigh..more waiting... But, he did say that everything looks normal, that my temp chart suggests that I ovulate (as does my blood work). He also said that based on our bd days, I'm doing everything right, and he's not sure why I'm not getting pg. It sounds like he was going to suggest a low dose of fertility drugs for me (before I mentioned the specialist), so maybe the specialist will too? Or, ,maybe the IUI? We'll see... kc, I love the name Jack! In fact, I loved it so much, that's my 4 year old dog's name. :) I'm assuming the glucose test you're all talking about (Ann) is to check for diabetes then? That's great that you got the all clear! Kerri, it's great that you're doing so well. It's funny because when I type to you now, I can picture you (since I've seen your picture on your website!) ..how nice is that? :) I was also THRILLED to hear that you got pg 2 months after your hsg - thanks for passing that on..it's inspiring. How long had you been ttc at that point? I really hope that happens to me. I'm starting to really hope and believe that my time is coming soon and I'm SO ready and excited about it! But, for now..just CD7. Yep, just a waitin' for O! :) Nans, how're you doing my dear? Did you test? I'm not sure I get that. I assumed that your monitor asks for a pee stick every morning or is that another kind. I thought it 'tested' your urine everyday..? Let me know..maybe I should invest in one like yours. Till the next... N.
