Khristy- Today is cd 8 and it asked for my first test stick. I got a high reading. I will probably get a high reading until cd 14 or 15 when I will get a peak. I will probably bd everyother day until day 18 making sure I hit both peak days. Lots of baby dust to you all. I know this will be our month! The stork will be dropping off babies in Easter baskets lol. Good Luck ladies.

Hi D ,
I'm thinking I will use at least 20 sticks unless I get a peak tomorrow . I have always had irregular cycles until May and I just started using the monitor like I should for 2 months now but got sick last month and stopped testing on cd21 which was a high reading . So really have only been using it correctly this month . Thanks for the info. and hoping we all get that BFP this month!!

Khristy - I totally understand about Dh's being away. My DH used to be in the army and now works nights. So, part of the reason for getting the monitor was to plan better. Well, I talked with my DR today and I am planning on trying IUI this month. I was debating about still using my monitor, but I think I will.( It helps me to feel like I know what is going on with my body!) I go in next friday for an ultrasound to see how everything looks and to see if my follicles are ready. I am nervous, but cautiously optomistic.>>>>>>About the number of high fertility days, I have had cycles with 7 days of high and then peak. The month I got pg I actually didn't ovulate until day 21! Also, my first month on clomid, I noticed that I had a lot of discharge one day(a Saturday) and then on that Monday my monitor read peak. I'll see if it is the same this month. >>>kc, I love the thought of babies in Easter baskets, it made me smile...thanks. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Hey Khristy.Thought i would write back and let you know a few things. Just to refresh your memory, i was the one who had low fertility up untill cd17/18 in which it peaked, it went down to medium on cd19/20, and then to low which it has been there since. The monitor actually "stopped" asking for tests around day 26. It's day 29 and no period yet. I was surprised the monitor stopped asking for the tests. So i would suggest you keep on doing them untill the monitor says so. Good luck.

I am so glad I found this thread because I am ready to throw the Clear Blue up against the wall!! It is my 2nd month of using it...Last month I O'd on day 17...I didnt keep track last month of what it said until I got the egg on day 17 (stupid now that I didnt)..I am now on day 18 and still dont have the egg, and have been at high since day 11. How can that be ?? I am frustrated. My HB and I have been bd'ing for days! I am wondering if I am not going to O at all this month, but the confusing thing is, this month I really really felt the O pain on my right side on days 11-12-13, and had plenty of ewcm. I was so sad today to wake up and not see the egg again. I have clomid waiting for me in the bathroom for next month, so I guess thats where I am headed. I was hoping I would be lucky this month before having to do that. Any thoughts would be really appreciated...(Nice to see some having the same issues!)

Colleen,

It takes about 3 or 4 cycles for it to figure out your patterns. In the meantime, it could miss you ovulation. If you had intercourse during that time that you the pains, you are probably covered just fine. Do you chart? I tell everyone who is doing this that they really need to chart for a least a few cycles so that they can be sure of what their body is doing. It won't tell you WHEN you will ovulate, but after you can rest easy that you have. But don't stop testing. If you had gotten a peak, I would tell you to stop since it's a waste of money and those sticks are sooo expensive! But without a peak, keep testing. It will make you use 20 sticks because it's still expecting you to give it a stick that it will read as peak. It sucks because if you know you've already O'd, you know there won't be a peak. But it won't understand that. So, keep testing this cycle. By next cycle, it'll have you in the clear. But also keep in mind, that if you do do the clomid, NOT to give it a stick until three days AFTER your last pill. The machine may start asking for a stick on cd6 or 7, but if you give it a stick when it asks for it, you are going to get a false high or even peak. Don't do it!!! The monitor is fabulous. I've had mine for 4 years and it's been a real godsend. But you just need to give it a little time. And I hope you won't have to take my clomid advice since you'll get pg this cycle!

D...Thanks for your answer post. It all makes sense to me, I guess I got my hopes up that I would O about the same time as I did last month (day 17) and even last month I was surprised that it was so late...I guess there is still hope for me, but like you said, maybe it wont even catch it this month and never peak. You are right...I think I have used about 40 sticks in the last 2 mnths, and still going. I will continue to keep testing though as long as it asks me to until I get the egg (hopefully) this month, but stopping after you peak makes sense. One of my girlfriends told me to do the same, but I was worried that since its only my 2nd month using it that I would mess up the testing cycles, but I will take your advice. I dont chart, but really should be and will start next month if and when AF comes. Do you just do your BBT ? I registered on fertility friend last month when I started, but it seems so confusing to me. I have spent a fair amount of time on there, and still dont see to get the whole thing...I guess I just need to keep working at it, or keep track at home myself of my temps. Thanks for the advice about testing on clomid..I have seen others say the same thing on here about waiting 3 days after your last pill, and if I have to do clomid next month, I will follow that advice also. In your 4 years of using the monitor, do you ever remember testing high for a week straight ?

D. - July 29

The greatest number of highs that I ever got were 5, but plenty of others have had more. I frequent a forum that is all about FMs and OPKs so I get a big reference to speak of. Give the BBT time. It is so confusing when you first start but before you know it, you'll be an expert. To start, just concentrate on entering your temperatures. Later you can add CM or CP or whatever else you want. You'll get it. I promise! And you'll get that BFP too.

Thanks D...You have become my little support system for the past day and a half!..Today is day 19 and I am still testing high. That makes 9 days of high, and 11 days of testing. I am pretty certain it would be safe to say I didnt O this month. What really bothers me is I am going to use 9 more sticks this cycle arent I (testing in sets of 10 or 20) ? Thanks for your help D. and the discussion..It keeps the nerves from being more frazzled..

Colleen,

Unless she shows her ugly face, don't ever just hand a cycle over to her (I'm talking about AF). You may have O'd but the monitor didn't "see" it this month. If you go to this site---http://talk.sheknows.com/forumdi
splay.php?s=&daysprune=&f=51---
I
think under the FAQs they have a link or something so you can see what a peak looks like. Until your monitor gets to know you, you can use this to figure out your sticks. If you still have them ( I tend to collect mine over several days to be able to compare) you may notice that you have definitely peaked.
