My progesterone levels were good. I don't remember what they were. I am not as strong as I let on. I have my moments. But for me, I am very happy that I was pg. It was my first after more than 4 years of trying. As hard as it is to deal with I have to look to the future. I also have great friends on this site. I will be thinking about you tomorrow and I pray you can find the strength to do what you need to do.

I had blighted ovum in february, the doctor said i was 5 weeks at the time, didn't want to do anything because maybe my dated were off. I went back for sonograms 4 more times in the next 2 weeks and each time I prayed I'd see something, a nything but that empty sac and the first 3 times nothing and cried a little each time. the last one was a killer. I had it done at the hospital so they could schedule the D&C, I just completely lost it that time when there was nothing. For some reason I just thought it would magically appear! I walked through the parking garage with tears streaming down my face and yelling into my cellphone to my husband "There's nothing!!!" People must have thought I was nuts. I'm sorry for the losses of each and every mom out there, no one should ever feel the pain of losing a child (or thinking you had one and didn't) , whether unborn or born. It's heart wrenching. I can't imagine what it would have felt like had I lost a child I actually got to see.

Hi Wannabeamom, I have unfortunately had two miscarriages... one at 16 weeks and one at 7 weeks. Since you are only 6 1/2 weeks, it probably has not shown on the ultrasound, or an heartbeat, so you will most likely pass naturally. Generally, they will recommend a D&C if there is a heartbeat and the baby has had a chance to grow. For me, my 1st at 16wks, I had to get a D&C and for the 2nd, it passed as just a bad period with a decent amount of clotty tissue. It will be nothing like the horrors of watching your pregnancy wash down the tubes... you are too early. For me, I felt like I was having my one of my first highschool periods. Just keep your self clean and the way you clean up, cause' for me to the worst physical outcome was I got wammed with a UTI. Actually, a D&C while seems scary physically was not that bad. I felt worst the 2nd time. What was hard about the first was the time invested in thinking all was well, loosing at after 4 months, and then still feeling pregnant and looking pregnant. For the 7 1/2 weeks... I was at an RE and they told me that it did not look hopeful at 5 weeks. So it took a couple of weeks or more for my body to full reject and get back to normal. Hope this helps.

Lawlady, I am so sorry about what you went through. How terrible that must have been for you and DH. Hi Jen, I actually did see the heartbeat. That is how I knew I was losing the baby. Thank you for sharing and I wish you both the best of luck.
