Tenk - October 9

Hi Ladies, My DH and I have 3 wonderful children DD 7, DD 5, and DS 3. We had another DD 03/11/06 @ 38 weeks and she was still born due to cord intanglement. We have been TTC again since April of this year, and it's just not working for some reason. I am on CD23 right now and hoping for a BFP. I will test in the am 10dpo and then again on 12dpo. If not I will start Clomid on the 20th. I am having cramping in my tummy (not painful just uncomfortable) and my nips are terribly sore, headaches, frequent urination, starving it seems, I hope this is it and so does DH. I don't want to take Clomid but will on the 20th if necessary...We just left Colo Spgs in May, and my daughter died at EVANS...please ladies, those of you that are military, try to get an outside doc. Dr. Moseman OB/GYN at EVANS is great, but the hospital sucks...we feel like Kamryn would be alive if I didn't have to deliver her there!!!

Lori, I'm sorry to hear about your DH's coworkers! How did they die? I'm glad your DH is still with the company. What a way to start a new job! Yikes! I'm not sure if that opk would be positive or negative - which test did you use? I would definitely keep trying to get pregnant if you feel you can afford it. At this point, my DH and I are waiting until next year I think. Basically because he doesn't have a job and my sick time and vacation time are tapped out this year. It's only 2 1/2 months, so it's not that bad of a wait at least. I'm glad that I met all of you and happy to be there for all of you also :-) Tenk, welcome. I'm sooo sorry to hear about your daughter. I hope this cycle is a lucky one for you! It sounds like it could be :-) Take care all and have a great night. We're getting ready to watch the Bronco game!

Hi! We've lived in the Springs for about three years now. I'm originally from Nashville, TN but have lived a bunch of other places. Tenk, I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter. I have heard similiar stories about Evans. I was lucky enough to be sent off post to Academy Women's Health since Evans was having a HUGE babyboom, thanks to 3rd ACR being home. I just found out that my SIL is pregnant with #2, which is great news. It was a bit sad for me cause we really want a baby and everyone around us seems to be getting pregnant. I work in a school and nine women are pregnant! I'm working on losing about 15-20 lbs, all by december. DH was also diagnosed with a low sperm count (he's at 10million) but our dr didn't seem to highly concerned. He said he's seen women become pregnant on much less of a sperm count. One of my friends recommended "Fertility Blend" for both of us. It's an herbal supplement to enhance ovulation in women and sperm count in men. Has anyone else heard of this and known if it really works? I asked my dr and he said as long as I wasn't taking any other herbal supplements, it doesn't hurt to try. Just curious to see if anyone else out there knows about this. I hope everyone has a good day!

Does anyone here in Colorado have any super sensitive pregnancy tests that I could buy, ones that detect HCG as little as 10 mIU/ml??

lorih - October 11

Welcome everyone. Anna, I don't have one but I know the ones at the dollar tree are supposed to be extremely sensitive. What DPO are you? I wish I had one I would gladly get it to you. Tenk, I as well, am very sorry about your loss, it is incomprehensible what you must have and are going through. Best of luck to all of you. Keep us posted anna.

Thanks so much, I guess I will have to find a dollar tree. Thanks a million. I will let you know.

BFP!!! I am shocked. I have a blood test scheduled for tomorrow. Holy cow. Thanks for being such great help. I love this forum.

Anna,
Congratulations that is such good news and hopefully the begininng of lots of luck for all of us. What DPO are you, and what pregnancy test did you decide to use? Let us know how the bloodwork goes. How did dh take the exciting news? So many questions and I am so happy for you!

annahoban7 - October 12

Ok I am 12 DPO, I decided to use the same tests I used with my other pregnancies, First Response Early Pregnancy test. DH wants to wait until the blood test, he's pretty much in shock. Thanks for your happy thoughts.

Ok girls I need your input. I am now 5 dpo and this morning I woke up with pretty bad cramps. I am pretty positive I ovulated on cd14 because I had cramps like I did the previous month and my opk was really dark. I think I missed my actual surge and caught it on the way down. On cd15 I had my temp went from 97.18 to 97.8 and they have stayed up ever since but that could be from the progesterone. So have you had cramps like this at 5 dpo? is it just wishful thinking that it might be implantation. The tww sucks the big one as usual. Anna, have you had the bloodwork done yet? how are you feeling? I hope everyone is doing well. Check in when you get a chance.

annahoban7 - October 15

Hey there. I had cramps when it was that early too but it's just hard to tell. I did have my blood work done, everything looks great so far. I have been down this road before and although I am happy I can't help but be very nervous that it might not work out. Lost 2 between my girls. Anyway good luck and I really hope things work out for all of you.

lorih - October 15

Thanks Anna, Why is it that there is always so much to worry about? You first worry about why you aren't pregnant yet then you worry whether or not there is a problem with the pregnancy and so on. Are you on progesterone supplements to help with the risk of miscarriage? I worry a lot about that as well and I have yet to experience a miscarriage so I can only imagine how hard this 1st trimester will be for you. Know we are here for you if you just want to vent and express your concerns. I will keep you posted I am now 7dpo and counting. Hoping for the best. Would you be happy with twins are you hoping for just one? I would love twins but have no idea if I could handle the pregnancy or the care afterwards, we will see what fate brings us. I am bored at work so sorry for the long babbling post. Have a great day.

annahoban7 - October 15

Actually twins would be ideal because we have always wanted 4 kids but either way we are done. I don't know if I could handle that many kids at once. 4 kids under 3? Yikes.

lorih - October 15

I am in the same boat, I would love 3 kids and my husband would be happy with 2, so we sill be done as well after this one. It sure will be exciting to find out. Take care of yourself and enjoy the rest of your day.

annahoban7 - October 16

Lori, how are things going? Any sign of af or pregnancy symptoms?
