Kristi, thanks. I tried to go there, but the page won't open. So, I tried just fertilityfriend.com but I couldn't find a link on there to find the info. If it wouldn't be too much trouble could you try to copy and paste? I would really appreciate it. If you're busy I completely understand and will just keep looking. Thank you so much for the help.

I found it! Thank you!

Kristi, it has been a while since we bd'd since we wore ourselves out so much last month, but I still don't think we'd tip the boat! It's a pontoon, so it would have to be pretty .... well, you know. Laine, are there just a few abbreviations you're not getting? What are they?

Actually I have it figured out now. The site Kristi gave me helped a lot. But thank you for offering to help.

I saw my Dr. yesterday and she went over the IUI with me. The injections I would be taking is Follistim. Anyone had any experience with this?

Good Morning! I was on yesterday, but I don't see my post anywhere, so I guess it didn't go through. I haven't had a chance to read through all the posts from the past couple of days, but I promise I will! I just wanted to let you now that I was still alove and kicking! Today is Alexander's 7th birthday, so I am busy plannning a family party today afterschool. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Wendy, I took follistem form December of last year thru April. I didn't have any side effects from it. The worse part was the small bruises from where I injected it. Nothing too bad though. I actually have an appt next week to get back on it. Let me know if you have any more questions and I'll try to help.

Oh and by the way, I had over 20 follicles in each ovary ( about 3-5 of each would be big enough) each month. That did cause a little pain because my ovaries were so large. Also on the 3rd month I was unable to take the meds because my follicles didn't rupture. So, I just took a month off per dr. orders, but no big deal.

Hi Wendy, when will you be starting the IUI? I am considereing an IUI with Femara and injections (my doc didn't mention what those injections were). I expect that if I am not pregnant this month, I will go in for the IUI (in about 3 weeks or so).

wendi77 - September 27

My dr wanted me to start them this cycle (I am on day 3 of my cycle), but the woman wasn't in to discuss the cost and I don't think I am mentally or emotionally ready right now. I have a lot going on at work plus I am going to school part time and with the holidays, I guess I am afraid of the stress around this time of the year that I will risk having a m/c. So, I think we are going to wait until after the beginning of the year. Plus I am checking to see if the Follistim is covered under my insurance. What does the Femara do? Never heard of it. I will say that I am excited to start and praying that this will work for us and give us the baby we want and deserve! I think about you all everyday and wish you all the best in ttc!

HI ladies! I have been very busy here at work and will be all week, so I may not be around alot, but I am still here! I am on cd15 today, according to temps I think I O'd yesterday, will know for sure in a couple more days if my temps stay up... We bd Sun/Mon/Tues and will tonight, so hopefully that will do it! I am trying not to get my hopes up too much this month, but it is hard since I got all "cleaned" out with lap.... Wendy, I dont blame you for waiting...if we dont get pg within the next couple months, I think we will take some time off and start again after the holidays... Well, I hope everyone is doing well! Shawna, hope the birthday party went well, sounds like alot of fun!

stepmommel - September 27

OOh Kristi, that sounds very promising! I'm sure it's impossible to not be overly excited, I know I will be if I end up getting an HSG done in the next month or so! Yeah, with those days of BDing I'd say you've got a good shot at it! Keep us posted! Good morning everyone else.

Wendi, I totally hear you about waiting until after the holidays. This time of year can be so stressful. To answer your question about Femara: I think Femara is a lot like Clomid (with less side-effects) it stimulates follicle production. I called my insurance yesterday to inquire about IUI (expecting the worst) and was pleasantly suprised. My coworkers had mentioned our coverage was good but I never knew how good: I have coverage for fertility costs such as IUI and meds at 100%. The only stipulation is there is a lifetime max of 25G on IVF procedures. I guess I really lucked out on that one. Kristi, good luck this cycle!

stepmommel - September 28

Hm... I posted yesterday but I don't see it.... Ginger, you're really lucky to have coverage! Who do you have, if you don't mind me asking. I'm thinking of changing insurance but need leads on someone who will cover this stuff! Well ladies, I'm leaving in an hour for our camptrip/family reunion. Will be back Sunday sometime but may not get a chance to check in again until Monday. Hope everyone has a great weekend, and BABYDUST to everyone. This is supposed to be our weekend for bding, so keep your fingers crossed. (our camp trips have good luck apparently... two of my cousins got pregnant while camping on two different occassions, and one of them was during our family reunion trip! Let's hope we'll have the same luck!). Take care. I'll miss ya'll!

ginger6363 - September 28

stepmommel, good luck your camping trip---sounds fun! As for my insurance I'm on a PPO plan with a co. called Great West. I get it through my employer who covers a lot of the costs though, so I am unsure that an individual can qualifiy. :( The insurance-thing can be such a downer, I wish you all the best at finding a new provider.
