100mg of clomid too much?

My doctor prescribed me 100mg of clomid days 3-7. I was fine with that but now that I have been researching seems to suggest that most people start of 50mg and get bumped up after the first month. Is my doctor being too aggressive? Can 100mg hurt me?

My doctor started me on 100 mg of clomiphene, days 5-9 in September as well. But it was unsuccessfull. However, in October I was put on 150 mg days 5-9, and by God's grace I am 5 weeks pregnant. I had side affects of course, but what medicine doesn't give you those? I think you will be okay. Maybe you should talk to your doctor for reassurance....Good Luck & Plenty of Baby Dust to you.
