Clomid success anyone?

Ok, I have been TTC for over 1 year. My husband and I took a break after one year and I started back in school. I am graduating soon so I want to try to get pregnant around now because I am already 28. I see everyone having kids all around me and it's difficult to see this when I am not getting pregnant when I would like. My doctor said that my progesterone was low last cycle it was a 9.8 and I was on 50 mg of Clomid for 5 days. They increased my dose to 100 mg for 5 days this month and I haven't gotten a positive ovulation test yet so I am still waiting. I am so worried that I will not get pregnant again because my doctor will only do 3 round s of Clomid with me and then I'm on to something much more expensive that might not work. Does anyone think that from a 9.8 I can get my progesterone up to a 15 with doubling the dose? Does anyone else know what else I can do to encourage ovulation? Thanks

Hi babydust2012. My husband and I tried on our own for a good five months with no results. I didn't get my period regularly so my doctor put me on 50 mg of clomid days 5-9. I was on it for three cycles and after my second unsuccesful round, I was looking into IUI's. However, on my third round, we got pregnant! I am now four weeks along and we are so thrilled. My progestrone levels were always good. My doctor kept me on the 50 mg because it worked really well for me. I have to say that the first two rounds my #'s were really good. My third round the numbers were much lower than those of the first two and I thought for sure it was a bust but it turns out it was the one that did it. After my third round with lower #'s I called and spoke to my doctor and he was very encouraging. He says that while he looks for a certian threshold, he's seen patient's ovulate with much less. So, keep your chin up and keep going. Hopefully you will get a positive result soon.

Hi... I don't understand why only 3 months? I bought unprescribed clomid and did it myself and first time I got boy/girl twins taking 100mg cd5-9
I got pregnant another 4 times with 3 miscarriages... I have almost 3 year old twins and a 9 month old baby.... So yes clomid does work.. And if that fails they usually try tamoxifen/novaldex which is what I am taking this month and so far the side effects are almost none existent unlike clomid....turned me into an emotional psycho! Lol...

hi everyone No success yet but hopefully, I been on FB going on 3 months now. I just want to start out saying the bad was the bathroom issue with the bowel movement situation, not sure if it happen to anyone yet. but the good was that I use to get ovulation pain varies from one side to another every month or so I thought. but since I started FB I haven't had any pain at all. I read up on blocked tubes and one symptom said one sided pain in the low abdomen could be a sign of blocked tubes. so my excitement so far is that I also read that fertili blend cleans your system of infections and if you have cyst or blockage it works to heal, clean and clear. the bad again is that I still haven't gotten pregnant yet and my doctor is sending me for an hysterosalpingogram- with is a test that injects a dye into your uterus and xray at the same time to see if your tubes are blocked. after the test then I will finally be finished fertili blend and I will start clomid. Test is july 3. Please pray for me. sorry so long but I wanted you to understand everything. thanks for listening and good luck to all.....

Hi everyone, my doctor placed me on clomid 100mg for 5 days without a period( I was yet I get a period after being off of birth control med). A week after completing the clomid, I got a period. When I saw my doctor he said he ll place me on another dose of clomid if I see my period again. My problem is I saw my period again yesterday! And this is just day 18 from the first day of my last period. This is so not normal for me cause my normal cycle before the birth control pills ll last for 30 days. This one started as sporting yesterday and I thought it may be ovulation spotting. But this morning it has become really heavy like real menstrual flow. I am so confused. I think I ll call my doc to make an appointment but I want to know if anyone here has experienced this with clomid.

Are you obese? Because im also in the same situation... Im 230lbs & my first two cycles with Clomifene/Clomiphene (Clomifene/Clomiphene is the generic clomid since i dont have insurance, im getting generic medications frin InternationalDrugMart.com ) failed. Now we are taking break & try to reduce my weight. My doctor told that even reducing 5% of you body weight can result for conception.

Hi...no I am not obese lol. My BMI is 22. Just looking at my last post... I actually got pregnant that month with girl twins who are now 4 months old :) the miscarriage rate in tamoxifen is 6% compared to the 20% on clomid!

Hi I am on my first round of clomid again after a 6 month break. I was 232 when we decided to take a break. And now I am at 202 and went from a cycle period of 31 days to 26 days after the weight loss. We day cycle day 3-7 on clomid and did a ultra sound to check follicles last Friday and doc said I had 4 good follicles. We took a hCG trigger shot this last Sunday and have started bedding last night. We were told by doc to bed tonight as well and then start progesterone suppositories Friday. We had to bed last Friday night as well to get dead sperm out and new sperm to produce. I am ovulating today doc said and he said to take HPT on the 11th in the am with first urine in the morning. So I am going to see if that 30 pound weight loss in the last 6 months will help any. I will keep u updated.

I am 35 years old and I was diagnosed with poor ovarian reserve and very bad prognosis of having a baby with my own eggs. I was even given the option to consider donor eggs. That was around july 2014. I was absolutely devastated with the news and I arranged an IVF for November 2014 and it failed also, given that I had nothing to lose, I contacted on facebook (Oduduwa Ajakaye) and he send me his herbal product,. Believe it or not... I am already pregnant!

Hey there! I think of your doctor has suggested you increase the dose and then the results might change then you should trust them and do as they say. I think the doubled dose will have more impact on the progesterone level and you will be able to get pregnant. Just do not lose hope.
