Praying glad you joined us. I have heard of glucophage but never had to use it. I was on clomid 3-7 for 1 month and then m/c had a cyst and could not use it again the next month. I did not need it I got pregnant without it and am due in Dec. It took me a few months of trying so don't give up. Many of us have gone a year or more before a BFP. Good luck to you all!

I looked Shativari up on the net after reading threads about it, and read that it can balance irregularities with the reproductive organs. I had sort of come to the conclusion personally that my problem was with my cm. I had already worked out from temping and monitoring that I ovulated every month, I bd'd every month around o time and got nothing that stuck, (I believe the two pg I had which ended in mc, may have ended because my body was adjusting to the increase in hormones required when pg and the fact it was 14 yrs ago when I was last pg, I did notice before I conceived with these that I did produce a little ewcm, the months I did not fall I did not have any at all) SO, I figured my problem this time must be hostile cm. I did not get any ewcm when I was on clomid, which I feel prevented me from falling pg. I figured that it could do no harm if I were right, so tried shativari and it increased my ewcm within 24 hrs of taking it. I don't know if I was right, but the fact I did see an increase after taking it and now that I have fallen could be down to this herb or it could have been pure luck. Shativari is pure asparagus I believe? I also started adding asparagus veg to my meals. I hope this helps. I will prayer for you ladies still ttc.

miracle, do you know, if you ovulate every month? And are you on any meds? I ask because I'm not sure if meds counteract the effects of these herbs? Maybe someone else can advise?

BOO, CAN YOU TELL ME WHICH SITE....I'VE BEEN RESEARCHING TOO, BUT NO REVIEWS ABOUT IT.
I ovulate every month...clomid just gave me that extra boost to have more than one egg...I have one tube that is open...I did not have ewcm while on clomid either, but i did however get pregnant even though there was no EWCM....now, if it gave you ewcm, then I will try that and that could be my reason for us still not KU...my mucus is usually sticky, dry or creamy during ovulation... i'll try to ask around, b/c i would love to take clomid for multiple follicles and that herb to help create ewcm.

salam wantamirclebaby congratulation .. i have one question that i dont the answer to can you have a period and not be ovulating ??? please if anyone nows answer me

Hope this helps you Praying!!

Can you have a period without ovulating?
A period or menstruation is the bleeding that occurs about 12 to 16 days after ovulation or the release of an egg. If ovulation does not occur, no egg is released, and hence technically there should be no bleeding at all. This is known as anovulation. In women where ovulation fails to occur because of an anovulatory disorder, bleeding can occur nevertheless. This is known as anovulatory bleeding and is not a normal menstrual period.

There is a huge difference between cycles in which the woman ovulates but does not get her period, and one in which she gets her period but does not ovulate. In the former case, the woman is almost certainly pregnant. In the latter case, she has had an anovulatory cycle.

If you do not chart your ovulation and have an anovulatory disorder, then you may assume that you are menstruating normally when anovulatory bleeding occurs during your cycle. This anovulatory bleeding occurs when estrogen production continues to develop in the uterine lining without reaching the threshold necessary to trigger ovulation. In such a case, either of the following two things may happen, both leading to what appears to be a menstrual period but is really not one.

Either the estrogen will build up slowly to a point below the threshold and then drop, resulting in estrogen withdrawal bleeding.

Or the endometrium builds up slowly over an extended period of time, eventually to the point where the resulting uterine lining is so thickened it can no longer sustain itself. This is known as estrogen breakthrough bleeding. This is a more common occurrence.
In either case, if you weren't charting your ovulation, you might think you were simply menstruating, though you would maybe notice a difference in the type of bleeding. Some women may notice a difference in the flow of bleeding. It may become heavier or lighter than your usual flow.

Miracle, below is a post I wrote earlier about the herbs I took. Some things I only took up until ovulation and then I stopped ( the fetilplus, red clover, licorice root, the intimate assist, evening primrose oil) I took mucinex the week of ovulation and then I stopped it. I kept taking the vitex, wild yam, red rasberry, alfalfa, milk thistle, flaxseed oil, prenatal, extra vb6 and b complex, extra calcium and v c, extra folic acid, baby aspirin, and progesterone supp. ( I started the prog. supps the day after my surge) up until I got my bfp then I just kept taking the red rasberry, alfalfa, and prenatals and pogesterone supps. and I added a DHA oil (for the babies brain) all of which are safe during pregnancy. Here is my earlier post : Name: rom | Date: October 2, 2007, 16:21
Answer: Bcao, I took 1000 mg of vitex , I took 800mg of Wild Yam, great for prog. (like vitex) , I took 400 mg red rasberry leaf, I took red clover (good for estrogen), 480 mg. of Licorice root (only take the deglycyrrhizinated kind) , I took 2000 mg. of evening primrose oil (for cervical mucus) (but just until ovulation then take flax seed oil), a baby aspirin a day, mucinex the week of ovulation, a prenatal vit. and extra folic and b and b complex vitamins, (also extra calcium and vit.c) I then took the Intimate Assist for sex drive which has small amounts of shatavari, maca, damiana, muira Puama, ginger, saw palmetto. And Fertilplus which has small amounts of black cohosh, vitex, Dong Quai, Green tea, Muira Puama, Siberian Ginseng. I never had spotting, oh and I forgot about Milk thistle to nourish my liver and alfalfa leaf. My husband was calling me a druggie! But they are all just herbs.

rom - October 23

Also, I took all my herbs on an empty stomach first thing in the morning (best way to get the most from them) I took all vits, mucinex, aspirin, with food and any oils after a meal. I took all doses once a day except for the fetilplus which was 3 times a day, and the intimate assist which was a tinture which was three times a day, three days a week. It all sounds very confusing. The ttcinternational web site is a good place to start with herbs cause it sells a lot and tells you how and when to take them and what they are good for plus it tells you what you can safely take with clomid.
