I have been taking ovulex and vitex for one month and O have not seen any signs of anything. I have not had a period in 5 months and I am really hoping that this helps. Has anyone else experienced this.

I've been using vitex for about 6 weeks or so and I got af late, late Sunday night (around 11:00am). Well af seemed to end yesterday so it's technically only lasted a little over 3 days. Is this normal? I usually have a 5 day cycle. It was petty heaving Sunday night and all day Monday but do you think I should be concerned? Has anyone else had the vitex do this to their cycle?

Hi B,
I took Vitex for two weeks and got pregnant. It ended up being an ectopic pregnancy but that was fine because I am 35 and had never gotten pregnant. So to see 2 lines on a pregnancy test was amazing to me, and it has given me endless hope. I also used Alkazone which is a alkaline booster that you put in your water, the herbalist in my area that suggested the Vitex thought maybe I should alkalize my body as well. If your body's ph balance is off and you are more acidic than alkaline that can also interfere with conception because acidic cervical mucus makes a hostile environment for sperm and sperm need a very sperm friendly environment. I have just started taking it again last week and hopefully will have a BFP next month:-). The Vitex I used was Vitex 300mg with Dong Quai by NOW, you can find it at www.nowfoods.com or at your local herbalist shop. I took 2 capsules per day before breakfast, or lunch. Don't loose hope because it did not work for others, it worked for me, and who knows it may work for you. Don't get discouraged. Everyone's body is different and reacts different to herbs, Rx, etc.. so your experience may be different from someone else's. I wish you lots of Baby Dust in your trying to conceive journey. Take Care, Andrea

Myrna: You can't take Vitex when you are having those injections

Missey1: You are better off just taking either one or the other not both together.

Sheri: Yes you can take Vitex throught out your period or I've been taking it Since September 2006 every day 1200mg first thing in the morning. It will definately lower your Prolactin levels trust me on this. One take one or the other not both. You'll be amazed at what Vitex can do.

Ovulex, Ovulex, Ovulex...DON'T DO IT!! It's such a scam!!! I'm very angry at Selmedica company, and there are TONS of reports about this company logged with the BBB. I tried it with NO success!!! I had the worst cramping I’ve ever had in my life, and had to literally stop taking it for that reason. I say, check out this site, it will tell what u need to know. www.natural-fertility-info.comfertility. It lists natural fertility products based on Effectiveness and safety based on ingredients, Effectiveness and safety based on customer feedback, Trust Factor & GuaranteeTrust Factor & Guarantee on a scale of 1-5. Check it out B. You really should before you order Ovulex. I hope my post isn't too late, I just came across this site doing some research on Vitex. Good luck or Congrats if the good Lord has blessed you with a child. I am 38 yrs old, approaching 39 in June. I am a newly wed, and really would like to have at least ONE child with my husband. My husband has a son from a previous relationship, and it's a sad situation. This time in his life, he tells me, he is really ready, and I believe I am too...problem is, I've NEVER been pregnant!! My cycles are anywhere from 40 days to 3 mos, and I can never pin point my O or even if I O for that matter. I recently had an ultrasound, and the doctor told me that I had recently O...but I know that I had intercourse around that time, and NOTHING. =( So, I am acting VERY diligently this time, I think I'm going to try Vitex, and Preseed because the lubricants I've been using, may contribute to my problem. I don't have enough moisture, and have always used lubes. and it wasn't until I started doing all this research that I learned, just because it says it's sperm friendly, doesn't mean it is. Well, I hope to see new posts on this site, it's always good to have the camaraderie. Good luck or Congrats to all of you ladies. =)

ok, so guess what. Im going overseas to be with my husband and I got my medical records which the military asked for. I saw I had abnormally high testosterone levels and abnormally low SHBG levels along with facial hair, sorta deep voice, and i searched those symptoms online and found out that I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). I diagnosed myself since my doctor wasnt smart enough. Now that explains my weightgain in my tummy, face hair, sorta deep voice, less feeling like a woman, depression, sugar levels of insulin, and the infertility. My husband and I have sex everynight and i was wondering why i never got pregnant. After careful research I put myself on VITEX and took it for 2 months...we tried to have kids for 3 years and all of a sudden we are pregnant. I am 4 months and my doc called me high risk due to the PCOS, please pray for me that I keep my baby because I really want to have it, I love this baby arleady. Its my 1st time ever being pregnant and now I feel like a woman. If you have any questions on my progress email me at [email protected] and I promise to get back with any of you:) I wish u all the best!!!!!!!

I have not had a period since June 20, 2007. I started taking 1/ 500mg Vitex daily about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I feel like I am about to start my period every day, with the twinges and cramps, but nothing. I fear I am going to become infertile or am already infertile. I don't know if I am ovulating but since I started taking Vitex my discharge has become egg white and more abundant. Can someone help me? Maybe give me their personal experience?

Have you gone to see an RE specialist? You really should have an ultrasound done because that's how I found out that I had "PCOS like cysts" on my right ovary. Since then, I decided to go the medical route, and was prescribed Clomid 50 mg to take days 5-9 of my CD. The first round, nothing, but mainly because my husband and I were fighting a LOT (do to outside issues) and we did NOT have intercourse on the days the doctor told me to. BUT, for the first time in my life, I had a simi-normal period. I started EXACTLY 35 days from my last cycle (a cycle can be anywhere from 21days to 38 days and still be considered normal). I was STOKED!!! I started another round, 50 mg cycle days 5-9 and had intercourse everyday the doctor told to and up to 4 days after. So, now I'm playin' the waiting game. If I don't start my AF on 9/23/07 then I will use a PG test. Anyway, you really need to get yourself checked out because it is possible to have an anovulatory period and that's what I was having. Hope this helps.

My last post here was on September 13, 2007, 0:56 and I replied to a young lady about checking with her RE to find out why she's irregular, and I talked about my RE prescribing Clomid to help me ovulate, and possibly become pregnant. Well, I am now 14 weeks pregnant, and it was because of Clomid. Having PCOS I found out that I was having inovulatory cycles and couldn't have gotten pregnant otherwise. So, just wanted to post some good news in hopes that it can help others out there with the same problem.

God bless.

Can fertilaid mess up your cycle? My husband and I have been ttc for a year and a half we started fertilaid last month and my period is almost a week late. home preg test is neg. I am always 28 days so i was wondering since i didnt start my fertilaid on day one of my cycle could that have messed it up? Or could i really be pregnant?

I have a really crazy period - disappears for 6 months, comes back for 2 with 7 weeks in between cycles - getting pregnant was impossible for the last 10+ years. I'm also a high risk due to breast cancer in the family so any treatment with estrogen would not be an option. Last August, I read up about Vitex and on a trip back to Canada, I went to a health store and bought Vitex. I had to wait for my period to come on it's own and it did in October.

I am now 9 weeks pregnant and firmly believe that Vitex helped me get there by regulating my cycles and stimulating my ovaries to produce follicles and eggs.

Funny thing is - even before I knew I was pregnant, I automatically stopped taking Vitex - my body instinctively knew I suppose. Good luck!

Hi ev1. Okay I have a situation and I would really be greatful if someone can address this situation, and clarify some things for me. Okay, I have been trying to concieve for a long time. I have had extremely irregular cycles also for a long time. Just so you understand, I have my cycle maybe once or twice a year. The doctors would just put me on Provera, it come maybe twice back to back and it's back to the same of MIA AF. One doctor told me I was a bit too heavy to even think about getting preg. I found that hard to believe when I see people that are extremely morbid with children. One lady I saw she was a new mom and I wanted to ask if she was still preggers. With that said I don't think my weight is a MAJOR factor because I see big women with children. Here's the thing, a while ago I bought Vitex 500mg Caps, and I wasn't really committed to taking them for fear that I was wasting my time, but since reading these post I am really willing to try it.

Question: Can anyone on this board honestly say they've had success with using Vitex to conceive? Is it worth me using it?

BTW, according to my last U/S I don't have PCOS, Edometriosis, just very imbalanced harmones.

On another mess board, some lady even stated most of the women on that board took vitex and experienced miscarriages.

Someone please answer I'm 33 and ready to become a mom.

hi ladies! I am just wondering about vitex, is it an actual supplement u can buy or where u saying that its in fertilaid? I got confused lol I'm doing research on it so I though that maybe incase I don't find anyhthing u can help me out. is anyone here taking fertilaid?

Lesley616 - March 29

I took Vitex because I have had extremely irregular periods since my early 20's (I am now 37). My period would disappear for 6 months, come back for 2 months with 7 weeks in between and there was no explanation! Hormones were fine, no PCOS, no blockage - just blamed on stress. I am also high risk for breast cancer since my sister passed away from it so any treatments with an abundance of estrogen was too risky for me. So I started doing my homework and found out about Vitex. Figured - what the hell. I had to wait for my period to come on it's own which it did in October 2007 started then. Worked like a charm because in January - we FINALLY conceived after YEARS of being told it was a long shot for us.

can someone please answer my question about vitex... i have elevated lh and testosterone, i hear that this fertilityblend/fertilityaid/ vitex is supposed to regulate your hormones, but i also read that vitex (chasteberry) causes your lh and fsh to raise up, is this true? if so then its probally not going to help me with my elevated lh. thanks!

babydreamer - July 9

How long after you start taking Vitex did you O and how many days after you started taking it did you get your period? I think I'm going to start tonight. I have always been irregular, I'm 30 years old and I got off bcp about 6 months ago, I got 2 periods which seemed 30 days apart and since then...nothing. My doctor gave me prometirum to get my period but it wont help me to ovulate is my understanding. He's HOPING that it will trigger normal cycles, but I don't get it cause I've NEVER had "normal" cycles.
