Clara - February 6

Good Morning Ladies - I'm exhausted from the Super Bowl party we went to last night.. I'm not really sure what happened but we had a good time socializing with our friends. Half time was fun trying to figure out how old Mick is and when will his joints finally give out! Natasha - so good to hear you are able to support your friend and see how happy she is and I'm sure she wants the same happiness for you. I have an appointment in March to see the doctor and I'll ask him about the extremely painful ovulation pains. They used to be bad but this past month was much worse than any other month in my life. I also have had severe cramping 2-3 days after ovulation for the last 3 months (now that I think about it, every month since my m/c). Why can't my body just function like it's supposed to??? Glad to hear everyone else seems to be doing well.

Nans - February 6

Hi everyone? how's everybody? hope everything is fine..I think most of you enjoyed your weekend because of super bowl party...Well my weekend went pretty fast, I'm CD 16 today and had a positve OPK this morning, so i guess i'll be O'ing between 24-48 hours, not so sure, i'm not taking my temp anymore so there's no way for me to find out if my temp spike up. But we will have to bd tonight and tom just to make sure. Clara, i also have an appointment this March 6 for a pap test, that if i'm not yet pg by march :) Coz after my d&c in San Diego the Dr told me to have pap smear here in NY, so i ask for an appointment and that's the earliest sched they have. I don't know why this medical people keep us waiting for months just for an hour or less appointment. Anyways i know i have no choice but to follow their schedules..LOL, Natasha V I also pray that God will bless us with healthy pregnancy and baby. Let's keep praying and i know that He is listening. Ann, Kerri and kc...how's our pg and soon to be moms..just relax and take it easy, always take care of yourselves and your little ones.Have a nice day and God Bless us all with wonderful babies.

Natasha V - February 10

Hi everyone, As usual, my ttc process is everchanging. Last month I was going along my merry way trying to let go of the ttc-ing and just living my life. Now this month, with my hsg, the fact that my OB has got my temping again, and the fact that my closest friend is now pg - I'm back on the obssessed ttc wagon! It's been a few months since I've diligently checked my temps, my cm, and my OPK sticks. I have to say that I'm not enjoying it very much. Dh and I figured (based on the OPK surge I had late yesterday morning) that we would have to bd BEFORE work this morning to hit 'optimum' time. That meant setting the alarm a half hour early (6am!) and trying to get him & I interested in bd-ing. I don't think I've ever enjoyed sex less! I just really hope that this is the month. I've been ready for a pregnancy for so long now, but now I feel REALLY ready (hear that God..I'm REALLY ready!!! :)) It'll all be worthwhile if it happens..please let it happen! I'm actually allowing myself to get excited about getting pg this month..that's always tough because boy is it a let down when you're not and you were excited for it. Well, I'm CD 15 today and should've ovulated sometime in the last 12 hours or so. I'm already thinking about the fact that I won't know whether or not I'm pg until near the end of my Vegas vacation. I'll have to avoid alcohol and I hope that it's going to be worth it! :) (that I'll be pg) We're going with 12 people, so now they'll all know that we're ttc-ing (I've been pretty private about it)..because who doesn't have a couple of drinks in Vegas otherwise!?! Does anyone know how many days before af arrives that your temp goes down? (if af is coming that is) Seems to me that it's a couple of days which means I may know on the first or second day there. Guess we'll see! How's everyone doing? Nans, I'm assuming that you're on your 2ww? I hope that ttc-ing again wasn't too hard on you and dh. And Clara, you didn't get to bd at all, right? How frustrating for you. If that's true then I guess only Nans and I are on the 2ww... I think this one will go quickly (well, quickER) because I'm going away..please please! :) Best of luck with this cycle Nans - let there be Baby Dust for you & me my dear! Hope you pg ladies are doing well - anything new? Lots of movement for you by now Ann? How about you Kerri? kc - are you passed 12 weeks yet? Have you told people (work etc.) yet? Take care ladies!

Kerri - February 10

Good Friday Morning! I'm soooo looking forward to the weekend---I've got a lot to due before I head out of town next week for a 5 day conference in Orlando. Well, Nans and NatashaV hope the 2ww flies by! Nans, I know what you mean about waiting forever to see the doctor....but we have no other choice unless someone cancels, but what drives me more nuts is that MY patients demand to be seen on the day they call for an appoinment and the secretary feels bad for them so I get people squished on my schedule and that makes it ruff for me at the stage in pregnancy---I'm not good with flexibility, but I guess that will change come June...but we have two doctors of Audiology in our office I don't know why they expect same day service or walk in and be seen right away (ok, I'm thru venting) Natasha V, I think my temps would drop 1 day before AF showed up. Been feeling Kalyn move alot, and finally my DH can feel her, esp. if I eat something sweet :) Ann, Clara, and KC how are you doing? Any Valentine's Plans for anyone???

Clara - February 10

Natasha and Nans - I'm sending you lots of love, prayers and baby dust. I didn't get to bd at all during ovulation. I'm frustrated but I'm also worried something is wrong with me so I'm really afraid to try until I've seen the doctor. It won't be so hard this coming month because my dh will be out of town when I ovulate so I won't get so depressed about not trying. With these severe pains, I just can not risk another m/c. Kerri - so glad your dh can finally feel Kalyn. As women we are lucky that we can feel it so much earlier but it's so exciting to see the reaction from daddy when they can finally feel.

Nans - February 10

Hi Ladies! We'll Natasha your right i'm on my CD 20 right now and on my 2WW also, don't know if we hit the big O day but i assume we did, sometimes those OPK sticks are also confusing, I don't temp anymore but as far as i can remember my temp will go down a day or two then AF will show up. Oh Kerri that's so exciting, i wish i'll experience that very soon. I can't wait to have a healthy pregnancy this time. I want to say thank you for all your prayers and baby dust...Clara i think it's a better decision not to try this month if you think there's something wrong with you. That pain could mean a lot of things so it's better you consult your Dr just to make sure that everyhing is fine with you. Ann and kc how are you guys doin? Hope that you are all ok and having a wonderful day. So have a nice weekend ladies...enjoy your weekend..

Natasha V - February 11

Kerri, you made me laugh. You said "I have a lot to due.." :) As in being "due"! Too cute, you've got baby brain girl, and it's wonderful. Take care everyone..hope you're having a lovely weekend. It's beautiful here in Canada, with blue skies and warm-ish temps. Enjoy everyone!

Ann - February 12

Hey everyone. It is around 5:30, I've been up since 4:30! I just can't seem to sleep. I decided some hot coco and talking with some friends might help:0). Nans, I really hope you hit it this month. You are so wonderful and positive, I really think that helps. Natasha V I know God is listening to you and I hope he answers you very soon. I honestly do feel like He hears, He just doesn't always do what we ask right away. Oh, I am feeling a lot of movement. DH has been able to feel it for a while, but it never seems to get old for either of us. (in fact she's awake and kicking right now) We decided to name her Delaney. We both really loved it right away. Clara, I really hope that you find an explanation to your O pain. I think it is smart to wait until you find out what is going on. Is your doctor having you come in at a certain time in your cycle? Kerri, I am glad to hear that all is well with you. I am very jealous that you are headed to Orlando and we are having a blizzard back here in CT! Will you be able to get any R and R time while away? kc, how are you doing? As for me, I am starting to plan my maternity leave. I need to provide lesson plans for two weeks and get report cards done for March. I also need to decide how much time I am going to take off. How much time does everyone anticipate taking when their little bundle comes (to all ladies)? If everything goes as planned, then I will leave in May and still get my summer pay because I have worked the whole year. SO basically my pay continues until August. I am thinking of taking off Sept. and Oct. too? Then Delaney will be about 5 1/2 months when I return to work. I have saved, but I also want to do the cord blood thing and that costs around 2,000.00 I hear! Ugh! So my dh and I have to look at our finances and make a choice. Take Care.

Natasha V - February 12

Hi all.. Ann, you poor thing, up so early! Well, I figured I'd say hello since you sounded lonely. :) That's so nice that you & dh both can feel the baby..how exciting! I LOVE Delaney...! :) I'm looking very forward to taking a whole year off for maternity leave ( you get about half your pay). Apparently, it's not very common in the US., but here in Canada, it's been the standard for about 3 years now (used to be 6 months). The only problem with taking so much time (aside from only having half the usual $), is how do you ever feel 'okay' leaving your sweetie to be cared for by someone else? (of course, that's the case no matter how long a leave you take!). Pg ladies, what are your plans for childcare? Day cares, relatives, at home moms/dads, day homes? Sounds like you're a teacher, Ann..my pg friend (that I'm so jealous of) is also a teacher and because of her usual summers off etc., she's going to get 14 months off! So nice... Oh, and I meant to ask..what's the cord blood thing? As for me, just waiting around for af to NOT arrive... I'm about 3 dpo. Sigh... :) Nans, what dpo are you now? Does anyone recall getting all sorts of cramping in the days following O? I always seem to get that, and I don't know if it's a good or bad thing...? Ciao!

Nans - February 12

Hi Ladies! We're having a winter storm here in NY...so cold and we have about 6-8 inches of snow. So we are just going to stay here at home. Natasha V i think i'm on 5dpo right now, but not really so sure, I think I O at CD 17 so let's keep praying that we are pg. Ann I know you are also having a lot of snow there in CT, so exciting that you are now having a wonderful time feeling your baby kick and move. Delaney is a very nice name. About the cord blood banking, i know that many couples decided to do that to save the blood for future use but i know that will also cost a lot of money, so you really have to make some financial plans for that. But that's a very nice plan. Clara how are you? hope that you'll find answer to your pain very soon. Kc and Kerri how are you doin?

Clara - February 13

Good Morning Ladies, I'm not scheduled to go in at any particular time of my cycle because the doctor I want to see has a full schedule and I was already scheduled for my last follow-up from my d&c. I hate the unknown. Although, since we aren't really trying at the moment, life seems more calm. I'm not temping, watching the calendar or "scheduling" bd time. Thank you all for your support. I'm just trying to wait patiently to make sure everything is okay. Ann - I love the name Delaney. I have a friend with a daughter named Delaney and she's a sweetheart. Nans and Natasha V - I'm praying for you ladies. As for time off, I will have to wait and see because I'm starting a new job in two weeks and I would have to accrue time off for maternity leave. In a perfect world, love to take off 3 months at least. And for childcare options, my son is in a wonderful preschool at our church. They truly love and care about every child there. I have no family here and staying home is not an option for me so this was the next best option for me and I feel very good about it. The weather here is pretty mild and supposed to get really warm this week. We had some snow flurries over the weekend but mostly just rain. By Thursday, it's supposed to be back up in the mid 60's. We really haven't had a winter this year. It's been very strange. Well, back to typing up instructions for my replacement here once I leave.

kc - February 13

Hi everyone! Nans and Natasha good luck with your 2ww. I hope it doesn't drag on too long. Easier said than done. I hear ya Natasha about the early morning wake up. My DH gets up at 3:30 now that's early. Good news is I heard that the swimmers are more concentrated first thing in the morning. Not sure if that is true but It does make sense. I sounds like you both hit the good days. I'll keep you both in my prayers. Clara I hope you can find out what is causing you such painfull ovulating. I had a friend with the same problem, she had cycst from fertility drugs. It may be something you could ask your doc. Ann and Kerri - I bet it 's really exciting for you now. Feeling the baby move, wobbling around like a cow (ha ha). I'm due Sept. 1. Right now I am 11 weeks and 4 days just a few more days until I hit the magic date. So far I feel fine execept for the usual early preg. symptoms. I thank God each day I make it without any problems. The sickness, fatigue and indigestion are only minor compared to everything else I have been through on this journey. I'm wishing everyone lots of blessings and prayers for more babies on the way, and easy deliveries with healthy babies. Lots of prayers.

Ann - February 13

Hello. Natasha and Nans, thanks for writing back so quick, I was feeling a bit lonely Sunday morning. Natasha, I think it is wonderful that you will get to take a whole year off! What a wonderful time to look forward to. I do teach, first grade, and it just happened that I will leave right before the summer. Everyone tells me that I planned so well. HA, what little they know. When I do go back to work, my dh will watch Delaney during the day, until 2:00. He works second shift. Then my dad will take over until I get home from work. I can't tell who’s more excited my dh or my dad. Clara, your day care sounds wonderful. It is so nice you found one you really like! I have to read up on it, but from what I’ve heard, the cord blood thing is when you pay a company to save your babies cord with all the cells and blood inside. People store and preserve it because the cells it contains have been used in treating illnesses that otherwise could be life threatening. So if Delaney, God forbid, ever needs it, she'll have it available. kc, it is good to hear that you are almost there! I know what you mean about the symptoms, they were bothersome, but I was also happy to have them. Not much longer and you should be feeling your little one too:0). Nans and Natasha I hope your 2ww goes by very quickly. By the way, thanks to everyone for the positive feedback with the name. I got some "oh's" and "I've never heard that before" from my dh's family. You ladies made my day! Have a great evening.

Natasha V - February 14

Hi! I have to say that I've never heard of the blood cord thing..what an interesting concept! I'm still temping because my OB wants to see my temp chart when I see him March 1st. Yesterday I went to wash the bbt thermometer and apparently I got it TOO wet. When I went to read it this morning, it was blank..oops! I had to go out and buy a new one today (which doesn't make me happy since I'm only temping for another week or two to please the OB). I hope he's satisfied with what he sees. For various reasons, I'd like to put temping behind me. One reason is that the beeping wakes our dog then he wants to jump on our bed and climb all over us! :)) ..Anyway, my OB says he'll know by the temps this month whether or not I'm o-ing. It's confusing to me actually, because I was remembering today that I was told that aside from a slightly high thyroid level, my blood tests were 'fine'. Wouldn't the standard Day 21 test tell them whether I'm o-ing or not?? If it's 'fine' doesn't that mean it showed that I'm o-ing? Hmm..guess I should've asked that. Nans, how's the wait going? Do you get crampy in the days that follow O? My 2ww's feeling slow already. And, I'm already feeling phantom symptoms..this morning (4 dpo) I thought I felt slightly nauseous. I'm going to try not to drive myself nuts with these imaginary symptoms..I thought I was finished with that! It's not possible to feel nauseous this early..right? (see?! It's like I don't remember a thing I've learned about ttc..that 4dpo is too early! :)) Sigh..the fact that I'm really praying for a bfp and feeling really "ready" has made me so excited for a pregnancy this cycle. I fear my reaction to af..I hope I can handle it okay if she comes. Anyway..enough about me! I have to tell you all..you ladies are just great! Ann is happy that we love her baby's name, kc is imparting info about her friends' cysts which might help Clara..and you're all educating me too (cord blood thing..wow!) Keep up the great support ladies..we'll all be celebrating our pregnancies soon!

Clara - February 14

Natasha - I agree, you ladies are wonderful. Well I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day and you enjoy some romantic time with your sweeties today!

Nans - February 14

Hi everyone! Happy Valentines Day! So any romantic plans for tonight? DH will work until 10-11pm tonight so there's nothing special for us tonight and besides we never celebrate valentines day, i don't know why but for almost 7 years we are together we never celebrate valentines day. Anyways i'm 7DPO right now as far as i know, 2WW is killing me, i really want to find out if i'm pg or not. I'm a little bit nervous and excited, i don't know, i just have to wait for a couple more days. Natasha V hope that we did it this month, I really hope that we are pg. kc i'm so happy for you and with how far your pregnancy is right now. Ann i'm sure your dad will be more excited that your DH..LOL, Clara i think you are the most relax person right now and just enjoying the day. Well ladies just keep on praying. Have a nice and romantic day to all of you.
