Hello girls,
Sann, the high temp sounds very interesting, as Val said; it’s too high for CD 9. But again, lots of factors can influence the temps. If I were you, I would wait and see if the temp sty up and test again. Good luck. Val, wish you the best with your new clomid patch, hope it will work for you. As for me, today I have a Lap job to be done; it’s for my annual physical. My ND stated that I am over stressed, which is not good at all. Not good for TTC, and not good for overall health. I am trying to take it easy, but I have millions of things to take care of. You know what girls, I am so upset with myself, I feel I am angry with god, and I feel guilty about that, and this is something adding to my misery those days. I don’t know what do about it. I am not going to start this. TTYL..

Girls, happy to hear from you : ) VAL, you got talents alright : ) I tried riding in my teens but I kept loosing my balance hahaha, not my cup of tea. I draw too (it's a long time time hobby of mine), mostly portraits (charcoal) but I also do a little painting but I'm not fantastic at it. Actually...when we turn out study into a nursery, I want to do a mural on the ceiling and one wall, something for baby to look at when he/she arrives, just my wishful thinking. Yo do what you do best, woman! VAL, I think you're on 6cd, I recall my ob/gynae said it's normal for temps to start climbing(but not high, averaging 98.0F) from cd5 -14 before it dips for ov. Sound like you're cycle is in good "shape" : ) COL, it's your hormones and stress talking again, I'm sure of that. It's cd14-15 for you isn't it ... the hormones are raging and you're on a work trip, I understand and been in your shoes. I get a little cranky during ov days too and those work trips are exhaustingggg!!!!! It's perfectly normal to feel this way. After a hectic day... try soaking in the tub(warm not hot) for 15-20 mins and have some chamomile tea before bedtime ... it'll help you to relax. I hope it help you as it has for me. My updates ...cd10 and bascially nothing much to report. Only my temp fell this morning 97.5F maybe it because I woke up 2 hours earlier to finish up my work before I head for the office ... will see if it's high tomorrow morning. Girls, I agree .. my temps (prior to this morning) they're high this early in the cycle. Anyway ... I did called my ob/gynae today, she said is not uncommon for women to have a few long and weird cycle in a year especially after a mc. And I should do another hpt if my temp stays high for another 3 days if hpt come back -ve, I go in for a blood test. If stay low, then it's af for sure, that would put me on cd13 and back to opk and bding for this cycle. It's final, I'll have to see her after this cycle, pg or not, I hope this one be normal. Going to see my physician tomorrow(haven't seen her for almost a month). My bbs just started to hurt again ... sitting here writing to you. Frankly girls ... I'm starting wonder my ob/gynae's calm : ( but she was right about the af or the spotting when she pinned the days for me. I guess it's just me .... not being able to be in control : ( 6th sense and random people telling me that I'm pg .... I don't know. My cheeks were very rosy for the first 8 weeks with last pg maybe that was the so called "The Pg Look" . My cheeks are a little pink but only in the mornings though. Well ... I don't think it's a sign. I still need that +ve hpt whether 6th sense or people say or pg signs. LOL & HUGSSS TTYL : )

Val - July 20

hi ladies. It's supposed to be like 95 degrees here today and 100+ tomorrow - yuck, yuck, yuck! I think I'm going to the coast tomorrow... it will be much cooler there! Sann, I'm glad you called your ob. Maybe it's just that your hormones are surging in odd ways? Have you had them tested? (progesterone, estrogen, etc.?) Sorry I can't remember! It must be tough to be having those temps and symptoms but no +. The one good thing about af coming is usually that you know where you stand! I hope it gets resolved one way or another ASAP. And your nursery mural idea sounds great... I was just telling dh the other day that I want to do one also! Haven't gotten as far as thinking about themes (first things first - need that baby!) COL, sorry you are feeling so down. It sounds like you really have a lot on your plate right now, with the move and work and the upcoming training and family, and I'm sure you have other things going on as well. I think you are allowed to be angry at God. I'm not really a religious person anymore, but I think there's a long precedent of people being angry when they aren't getting what they want. I think god can probably deal with it... you just need to try to find some little ways every day to take time out and take care of yourself.

COL - July 20

Sann, Val, thanks so much for the nice words that was really touching. I have a good news though, Val said,(((( you just need to try to find some little ways every day to take time out and take care of yourself.))) I think I just did. I was talking to my family, and I made it clear to them, I am not going to baby set them, and I am not a public domain. I know they did not like it, but they will get over it. How is that?? I am happy I did. : ) : ) : ).
I am feeling much better now. I am envious of you ladies, both has talents, I don’t have any I think : ) : ), the baby room will be lucky if I get to paint it : ) : ). I am so happy that I have you as friends, I am so lucky. God bless you both.

Sann - July 21

Hi girls : ) VAL .. sorry about weather, it's not just hot but totally humid too, I feeling hot "sticky" when I go out doors, you can say that again ... yuck yuck and yuck! And it's gonna be mosquitoes sesaons soon ... arghhhhh! Did you have fun at the beach today : ) Nope ... the lab @ the doc's office didn't have an opening when I called an appt last week : ( My bloodtests' come ina package testing 6 hormones all at once ... less costly this way (Profile 6 i.e progestrone, estrogen, prolactin, testosterone, Fsh and thyroid ... I think) and I missed Fsh for this cycle ... doing it begining next cycle. Well, it's been almost a year now ... getting -ve hpt, symptons and high temps, it's hard trying to figure out what's happening ... tough but I'll live : ) VAL, we'll be going down memory lane soon : ( come August, I'm trying not to think about it but it keeps "popping" in my head ... been crying whenever it "pops" in : ( RE : Mural .. I haven't got a theme either. Yep! gotta have that baby first ... but I think we'll most likely have a boy first judging from Dh SA ... they're 95% progressive "a" ... "Shettle's Method",did I spell that right Shettles ...ohh well! Any suggestions for a "co-ed" theme??? I read that it isn't healthy for the baby when doing painting(wall paints) during pregnancy causes deformaties. I figure ..we'll have to start before we get pg : ) COL, you're welcome, we're here for you : ) VAL's right ... you gotta be good to yourself : ) We only live once : ) If don't mind me asking ...and if remembered right, it's your brother and his family visiting. Why do you need to baby sitting them ...I figure if he and his wife(I presume) has a family .. they're adults! But it's great that you told them : ) I sure they'll understand, you've got alot going on at the moment. RE : TALENTS ... everyone's got talent ... just with different stuffs. For one, I can't bake for nuts and I'm a lousy cook, still don't know what to chop up a chicken. Tell me ... what you're good at??? Cooking, baking, sewing, crafts??? : ) My update ... temp went up, cos I took it at my regular waking time this morning, 98.8F and cd11.... : ( Anyway, finally saw my physician today. She said I'm not pg cos hpt would have picked up hcg by now .... very unlikely I would be one of those lucky pg women with undectable hcg levels and judging from last pg ... got my hpt +ve pretty early(15/16 dpo I think ... dont' have my charts with at the moment) She said it's definitely "hormones malfunctioning", gave me a new prescription of herbs to clear the old blood or something, I didn't get the details. Ladies ... does your acupunturist prescribe any herbs for the both you???? (I sort of asked my physician about acupunture.. she said they sometimes do when it comes to fertility treatments) Anyway ... she said might start me on acupunture when she finds the right acupunturist. Aren't I a "Chatter box", I think I'll have withdrawals if I don't "talk" to you girls : ) : ) : ) Oh!!! Religious thing. I'm not too religious these days ... kind of loosing faith, you know what I mean! LOL and hear from you soon : )

Val - July 22

hi ladies! Well, we've got the heat and humidity today. I might have to sleep in the my home office tonight if it doesn't cool down some by midnight or so! COL, good for you for standing up for yourself! And I'll bet you do have talents... like Sann said, everyone has something that they are good at! :-) SANN, my acupuncturist/naturopath had prescribed fish oil and a special prenatal vitamin with lots of extra stuff in it. I stopped taking the fish oil a while back - can't remember why. But she didn't give me any herbs. The Chinese med dr from San Francisco (who I saw last Aug after the mc) did give me a ton of herbs but I didn't take most of them... was a little scared because there were a ton! I know what you mean about "memory lane". August 3rd was my d&c date, and it's actually dh's birthday. I think we're going to do something fun that night (since last year was no fun at all for either of us. ) I can't believe it's been nearly a year. I had a nice day today at the beach. Met up with friends for lunch and a beer, then hung out on the beach with my dog for another couple of hours, and then went and had a nice dinner at a brewpub right on the beach. I watched whales spouting off the coast while I was eating dinner- pretty cool! I was thinking that if the clomid works, this might be my last chance to have a non-pregnant day like this, and I just decided I would enjoy it. Alright, I'm going to leave my nice air-conditioned office and see if there's any sort of cooler air circulating in my house (the indoor thermometer in the kitchen read 90 when I got home at 8:30 in the evening!) Hugs to you both... thanks for being there!

Sann - July 22

Hello girls : ) VAL, you had tonnes of fun : ) Whale watching .... so cool! You have such great outdoors over there ...isn't that happening here by the beach and no whales here : ( But I heard there're some pink dolphins that ocassionally swims by some of the smaller islands and if we're lucky we get to see them. Sorry to hear the coincidence for 3rd Aug. I hope you and your Dh have fun this year : ) Hey ... the radio's playing music from the 80's & early 90s, nowwww .... bringing back fun memories for me! Dh & I should go round up our bunch of friends, go "clubbing" tonight : ) I know ... those herbs don't look too pleasing to the eye, the "fragrant" ... yeee! and the taste ... yucky! Good luck with your new round of the clomid : ) COL ... How did your'e annual physical go ... get your report yet??? Update us soon : ) Cd12 and temp till elevated ...98.6F/36.8C that's about it. Oh!!!!! I took another hpt still -ve, just wanted to be sure before I start on my new concoction this evening ...it's suppose to clear the uterus or something. Oh VAL ... I appreciate it too ... you being here for us too : ) It's the weekend again, time certainly flies, have fun girls : ) Talk to you soon. LOL : ) : ) : )

COL - July 23

Hey girls, glad to hear from both of you, and both having fun. Val, I would like to see whales someday, maybe when we visit Vancouver. Sann, yes those songs from the 80 and 90s do bring good memories. I had fun yesterday too, I had my hair done, and had a body care, had nail polish (which is totally not me) : ) : ), I went shopping, clothes shopping. Its not pleasant experience for me going clothes shopping, I do not find good clothes easily , I am 5.11, I am tall, so it takes for ever to find something elegant and decent. Now I have a comment about the naturopath meds and herbs. I really recommend them, I can see a big difference in my body and cycle, but mind you I am doing this religiously, I do not miss a thing. My naturopath gave me vitamins and supplements, not fresh herbs. Plus, the acupuncture. I do strongly recommend this route. My period became regular, and I used to be dry, now I can see the mucus very clearly and more often. This cycle is out for me, I think I am ovulating today; my DH is out of town.
I am leaving tomorrow to my training. I will be checking on you both. Nowwwwwwwwww for the talents, I did not think of cooking as talent, I am very good cook, I love cooking, and I am creative too. I have my own recipes; I combine all kind of ethnic foods together, and come up with a very good dish. The best time for me is when I am in the kitchen, oh god, I forget the whole world out side. By the way I do write, I have written some articles, none is published yet. But you never know. So , I do have talents after all : ) : ) : ). Ok, I am thankful too for having you, its really a bless having the chance to talk to friends like you. god bless you both, and I wish I hear good news from the both. TTYL

Sann - July 24

Hi girls : ) COL ... I'm so glad to have heard from you, I got worried there for while, you didn't check in for a couple of days. Wowww!!!! You're really tallllll ...COL : ) I'm only 5'6" and I have a hard time looking for nice clothes here : ( I have to get clothes from the US, Canandian and Australian labels. Asian labels don't fit me very well : ( I know what you mean by it's not fun shopping for clothes ... sometimes it's depressing looking for the right stuff. Talk about hair ... some time back, I went to my hair stylist, told him to cut 20 inches off. Now I'm kind regretting no having my long hair anymore : ( Everyone says I look like a "school girl" even my ob/gynae. I knew you have talents : ) Heyyyy : ) ... cooking is definitely a talent to me, not everyone's a good cook and you write too : ) RE : Acupunture - There're many acupunturists here but it's finding one that specialises in fertility that's hard, most good ones(for fertiltiy) have gone to the US, Cananda and Europe ... that's what my physician said. Do you mean there acupunturist and TCM physician there (i.e. if I'm not wrong you're in Toronto) ...they prescribe fresh herbs to their patients? That's really interesting ... Traditional Chinese Medicine (herbs) in the form of fresh herbs. Here we rarely get presciptions for fresh herbs, 99% of the tme, it's dried herbs. LADIES ... BACK ON THE HAIR AND NAILS TOPIC. have you heard of colouring(hair dye) or highlighting our hair and using nail polish will affect fertiltiy in anyway ??? I saw a programme on tv (well .. sometime back now), they had a feritility specialist on and he said that it might affect feritility. But I know lots of women here do not colour, perm or paint their nails when they are pregnant. I HAVE TO HAVE MY HAIR HIGHLIGHTED ALL THE TIME .. I DON'T LOOK GOOD IN PLAIN DARK HAIR : ( AND I HAVE TO HAVE MY NAILS PAINTED TOO (especially my toe nails)Yes! Yes! Yes! ... I'm vain, heeheehee! Back to ttc ...COL, sorry your Dh is out of town for this cycle. What cd are you on? Will your DH be in a town near where your training is? VAL, how was your weekned? Hear from you soon : ) Girls ... I think I'm ovualting early for this cycle, found some "sticky milky" cm yesterday afternoon which was cd13, my temps are back to pre-ov. And I'm having cramp like feeling in my lower tumming both left and right but it's not painful or anything, you just know it's there. I hope my temp dips soon then I'll do a opk. I haven't taken my new meds( was suppose to take on Saturday evening) and I'm not sure if I should take now, my physician said the new presciptions of herbs it's suppose to clear the uterus ... I'm wondering if it's going to affect ov. I'll go see her tomorrow. I feel like I don't know my body anymore especially after mc ... it's acting differently with every cycle, haaaaa : ( Talk to you soon. LOL & Hugsss

Sann - July 24

Whoops ... typo error again. I ment to say " Do you mean that acupunturist and physician there"

Val - July 25

hi ladies... COL, cooking is definitely a talent... see, I knew you had talent! And cooking is wonderful! Hope your training is going well. SANN, how did your dr appt go today? (have you had it yet? I can't remember with the time difference.) I guess I'm the shorty in the bunch... I'm about 5'4". Wish I was a little taller, but what can you do? :-) Saw my naturopath yesterday for acupuncture... it was a good session. I'm seeing her about every 3 weeks. I got a script for the 21-day progesterone test so I'll definitely do that this month. I'd just like as much info as possible about my cycle. No fertile cm yet, but I'm on cd11, so I'm probably going to start opks tomorrow. Take care!

Sann - July 26

Hello Girls, how have you been? VAL, I didn't have time to see my physician but we spoke over the phone yesterday, she said it was ok to take the new prescription, it's not going to affect ov at all. I'm going to starting brewing my new meds tonight and it's going to sting up the whole apartment again. I'm on cd16 today(my temp's back to pre-ov) and still having "sticky milky" cm ... hoping ewcm appears soon. I tested for ov last night ... well, nothing : ( Going to do another tonight. Yesterday ... was the anniversary for our first positive hpt, bitter sweet memory for Dh & I. VAL,great to hear ... getting your progesterone levels measured sure tells a lot about your uterine lining especially when on clomid. COL, how are things with you. Come 'talk" to us soon : ) By the way ... ladies, have you heard of drinking lots of water will help increase cm ( I read from one site but can't recall which one). Got to go for a swim .... the weather is hotttttttttt! TTYL & LOL : )

isa - July 27

Hi Sann, I found you. To answer your question I too have heard drinking plenty of water helps your cm to thin and also taking robitussuin BEFORE ovulation but only the one that has the only active ingredient called guaifineson. Any other kind will dry you up. Take 2 tsp (3 x day ) of regular I think it is the 100mg one and then make sure you drink a full glass of water after you take it. Start day 6 or 8 depending on how short or long your cycle is. I would start cd 6 and ovulate anywhere from cd 12-14 and make sure you stop it once you ovulated. It seems to make a big difference for me when i needed it.

isa - July 27

Here are stats on me. Canadaian almost 41, no pregnancies, ttc - over 1 1/2 years. male factor issues with sperm count & motility, 7 failed iui's (1 natural, 2 clomid with inj, 4 just injections). Just diagnosed this month with a chromosomal problem - a mosaicism of Turners syndrome which means its possible I am infertile but we wouldnt know for sure unless i do ivf and they see what my eggs (if i have any) are like. Not able to do ivf until I have an ECG tomorrow (heart check) and a renal (kidney) u/s on Aug 18. If those turn out ok then we probably will have the go ahead to try ivf if we choose. 20% of my chromosomes are missing an "x" and 80% of them are normal so we dont know what organs/tissues I only have the one "x" in so we dont know what might be affected.

Val - July 27

Hi ladies. ISA, welcome. It sounds like you have had a hard road. I hope you get good resultson your ECG and u/s. SANN, hard to believe you are already on cd16. I think I have heard that drinking water can help with cm, plus it's just a really good idea anyway. I ordered and used Preseed last month - it's not too expensive and it's supposed to help if your cm is limited. Well, I'm on cd13. Getting neg opks, but yesterday's line was darker than the day before, so I think I'll probably ovulate in about 4 days. I'm going to get a massage today because my lower back has been hurting again - it's really tight feeling and it's hard to bend down. The massage should help. I shouldn't have stopped getting them! COL, hope you are doing well. Hope everyone has a good day/night!

Sann - July 30

Hi girls : ) Sorry .... I didn't respond sooner, as usual I was caught with work since it's the month's end. ISA ... WELCOME! So glad you found us. By the way, I turned 37 this year and dh too turned 39 this year, we started our road fo ttc since Apr04. It's must have for tough journey for you and dh. I just want to add you might want to research and look into TCM for male factor issues. My dh had some male factor issues begining of our journey but it was quite easily rectified by taking Tcm med, after approx. 4-5months, dh's sperm count increased by 4 folds and motility had a huge jump of improvement but it's morphology that needs more working on. ISA ... have you read acupunture can be an aid to ivf??? We'll be doing acupunture soon as our physician find an acupunturist that specialises in ferrtility issues. I hope our experience with Tcm helps : ) Though .. I wasn't able to carry my pregnancy to term but it helps to know that Tcm has help treated the male factor issues for us and I was able to conceive when dh's sperm morphology by WHO standards was considered not ideal for ART. We're still newbies at this "ttc thing" and to date both our doctors(2 different fields of meds) haven't mentioned ART at all. I'm don't know much about Turner's Syndrome. A girlfriend of mine got pg with ivf and had just mc'd ( RE said, very likely due Turn's Syndrome) however she was told there's still a very good chance of having a healthy pregnancy. Our mc was due to chromosomal issues too however we haven't had any further testing yet, my ob/gynae will do some dna testing if I don't get pg by the year end. Keep us posted with your test results. We'll be here for you : ) VAL - Sorry to hear your back's hurting again. Have you been helping out alot on the farm lately??? I sure there're lots to do on the farm ... I just hoping you don't strain yourself too much. Yessss, time flies and I'm cd20 today, opk tested +ve on Friday night, last night I had some cramping on the lower right side again and temp dipped, this morning ... Sunday morning for me. I figure, I'm ov'ing right on time and this cycle is back to normal ... I'm somewhat relieved : ) Woman ... you think your'e ov'ing in 4days ( I think it's 2days now) ... put on something "sexy and juicy" tonight and get to "work", heeheehee : ) I'm sure the hubby will be more than pleased : ) Guess what I did this cycle ... I starved the hubby from cd12 and he was more than happy to get to "work" on cd16, heeheehee : ) I got to tell you girls this, I started my prescription(one that's suppose to clear the uterus) since I had the go ahead from my physician that it's not going to affect ov. Day after I took it, I had a "jello like" opague cm, the size and size of a pearl (sorry for the description) than it turned into "sticky milky" cm again the next day. Well, finally on cd16 I had fertile cm ... I'm hoping just this 1 dose of the new presciption helps. I going back to my regular presciption today... I think it for boosting the hormones back to balance or something. VAL - did you call your RE yet??? Ladies, thanks for the info : ) I've bee drinking lots of water : ) COL - How's everything with you??? Come "talk" to us soon : ) Got to go now, got to go brew my med and take it today Have a nice weekend : ) Take care and God bless : )
